APAVE, OVER 150 YEARS OF HISTORY

Since its creation in 1867, Apave's mission has been to manage the risk associated with major industrial, technological, and digital developments.

« Progress is only worthwhile if it does not compromise the lives of individuals. »

ErnEst ZubEr, 1867

With the rise of electricity, the organisation became APAVE (Association des Propriétaires d’Appareils à Vapeur et Électriques).

Apave created a service dedicated to the inspection of electrical installations. The Group's engineers and technicians contributed to supporting France's entry into the modern era by strengthening the safety of people and assets.

2023

2024

2022

Launch of Apave Digital, dedicated to managing digital risks.

The objectives of the 2021-2025 strategic plan were achieved one year ahead of schedule. The acquisition of IRISNDT marked a change in scale for the Group, with a solid foothold in North America and an increased international presence.

From the construction of the Eiffel Tower to the reconstruction of Notre-Dame de Paris, Apave has always been there to support technical challenges and guarantee the safety and sustainability of these iconic monuments.

The Group is accelerating its growth in sustainability through its “Green&Social” range of solutions, as well as in digital risks (including audits, testing and certification), where demand continues to rise.

Today

2025

In 2025, Apave confirmed its change in scale. The Group is consolidating its leadership in risk management and strengthening its international footprint and brand awareness, particularly in North America. Driven by the momentum of the 2021-2025 strategic plan, the Apave Group, intensified cooperation between its areas of expertise, its business activities and its entities across all its geographies, strengthened its positions in the energy and digital transition markets, made sustainability a structural driver of growth through its “Green&Social” range of service offerings. In a rapidly changing environment, Apave demonstrates the robustness of its model based on its position as a “trusted third party”, technical expertise, field agility and a long-term vision.

Tomorrow

Every transition—whether industrial, energy, digital, environmental or societal—drives new ways of thinking, acting and living, reshaping the way we produce and consume. The new risks that accompany these changes demand innovative, tailored solutions and a clear vision for the future. Apave is convinced that the major transformations of tomorrow will continue to be built upon the Group's long-standing expertise.

|Historical expertise to meet tomorrow’s challenges

Even in the digital age, electricians, pressure experts and calculation engineers remain essential experts in innovating, designing, manufacturing, using and securing the technologies of tomorrow.

Developing renewable energy requires experts in electricity.

Utilising hydrogen demands a perfect understanding of pressure behavior, materials and structures.

Building more sustainable infrastructure requires engineers who can comprehend the real-world physical demands placed on equipment.

For over 150 years, Apave has supported these transformations with the same rigorous standard: putting technical expertise at the service of safety.

Yesterday it was steam engines, today it is hydrogen, tomorrow it will be technologies yet to be invented—the laws of physics do not change, and technical expertise remains essential.
