SIX DISCIPLINES, ONE COLLEGE Nursing Four decades of experience have created a program that emphasizes quality, compassion and evidence-based practice, resulting in pass rates on licensure and certification exams that are significantly higher than the national average. New technology and innovative training methods develop confident graduates and exceptional health care workers.

Exercise Science This program benefits greatly from the thriving fitness, sport and health care industry in Nashville, TN. Through internships and practicums, our students have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a wide array of real-world settings, creating an excellent foundation for an exciting career in fitness, wellness, medicine, rehabilitation or sport.

Occupational Therapy As one of the first in the country to gain professional accreditation at the doctoral level and with a unique master’s program providing advancement opportunities for occupational therapy assistants and physical therapist assistants throughout the U.S., this program leads the way in educating future occupational therapists. Students receive a comprehensive education from experienced practitioners, utilizing the latest methods and technologies in an environment that encourages life-long learning, service and advocacy.

Physical Therapy This competitive, three-year, professional program provides hands-on training that prepares graduates to work in any aspect of physical therapy. An emphasis on excellence and community service creates doctors of physical therapy who boast a 100 percent pass rate on the licensure exam (with a first-time pass rate of 90 percent), exceeding the national average.

Public Health As the newest program offering in the College, the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) builds upon Belmont’s rich tradition of serving communities by preparing students for positions in a variety of settings, including public service, community and global health, business and Christian mission.

In addition, the BSPH equips students to pursue advanced education in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapies, biostatistics, epidemiology, health communications, environmental and nutritional sciences, and public health.

Social Work This entry-level professional degree program is notable for many reasons, including being accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. It is also one of the few programs of its kind that integrates spirituality into the curriculum and that provides opportunities for students to do one of their two field placements in another city, state or even a different country.
