MESSAGE FROM THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
A MESSAGE FROM BELMONT UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS DIRECTOR SCOTT CORLEY
DEAR BRUIN NATION,
Greetings from Nashville! I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the summer, wherever you may be.
Needless to say, the past year was an unprecedented one full of challenges. I want to first say how proud I am of all of our student-athletes, coaches, trainers and administrative staff that played a hand in allowing us to compete. Being able to do so required remarkable dedication and teamwork from everyone involved. Thank you!
This year was a constant reminder of a motto that we live by daily at Belmont Athletics; “Everyday Excellence.” We strive each day to bring excellence to all that we do, knowing that if we focus on the process, the results will pay off in time. Each day this year, we were challenged to deliver on already high expectations. I can confidently say we lived out our motto this year. We achieved “Everyday Excellence.”
As we begin to transition back to more regular times, I am excited to see us get back to business here at Belmont. I know many of you were not able to support us from a traditional standpoint this past year by attending games and cheering on our Bruins. To those who have felt that distance, I am asking you now to reinvest in your relationship with Belmont Athletics. I promise you if we all buy back in together, the future of Belmont Athletics is limitless.
Enclosed in this packet is our 2021-2022 Bruin Club Membership Guide. If you are a basketball season ticket holder with us, we have also included your season ticket renewal in this mailing for your convenience. At this moment, our plan is to be able to return to standard operating procedure in terms of hosting fans at athletic events beginning this fall. Should that change, we will be in touch accordingly.
This season promises to be one not to be missed. On the men’s side, the defending regular season OVC Champions return a veteran team, filled with talent across the board. The program has its sights set on capturing another conference championship en route to returning to the NCAA Tournament. Multiple preseason top-25 polls, including ESPN, have already listed the Bruins in their rankings.
Our women’s basketball team will enter the year fresh off the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament victory, defeating Gonzaga in the 1st Round of the NCAA Tournament. A slew of young, determined talent will look to lead the Bruins to even further heights. If you are a basketball season-ticket holder, I encourage you to renew your tickets immediately. If you are not a basketball season-ticket holder, I encourage you to get on board now! Call (615) 460-BALL (2255) or email tickets@belmont. edu to purchase season tickets.
Below are a few helpful notes for your renewal process:
• If you applied payment from last year’s tickets to this season, that will be noted on your renewal.
• If you are making both your annual Bruin Club gift and season ticket payment via check, they must be separate checks.
• All donations to Belmont Athletics are philanthropic in nature and are non-refundable.
Our goal this year is to renew and reinvigorate your relationship with Belmont Athletics and to remind you of why you chose to be a Bruin, one unforgettable moment at a time.
Go Bruins!
Scott Corley Director of Athletics, Belmont University
