GENERAL BUSINESS THE JACK C. MASSEY COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

STUDY BUSINESS IN A CITY WHERE BUSINESS IS BOOMING Graduates of the general business program will find employment in a variety of industries, and with 40,000 businesses calling Nashville home, graduates will be able to explore numerous options within the comfort of the city. Some of the businesses headquartered in Middle Tennessee include Bridgestone Americas, Cracker Barrel, Dollar General, Gibson Guitar, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and Nissan North America. Nashville has a strong economy, which is evidenced by the fact that Nashville ranked #1 on Policom’s 2019 rankings with regard to Metropolitan Economic Strength. While students can select upper-level coursework from a variety of our business majors, they also have the option to hone in on a couple of areas of business to increase understanding, application and competency regarding those specific business disciplines. Faculty advisors will work closely with you to determine best options for internships and to discuss with you your career interests and goals.

There are a wide variety of career opportunities available for Massey business graduates, including positions in management, sales, insurance, banking, real estate, human resources and technology, to name a few! Our alumni have accepted offers from hundreds of companies, including: Asurion, Northwestern Mutual, CAT Financial, Nissan North America, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Change Healthcare, Ryman Hospitality Properties and Tractor Supply Co.
