LIBERAL STUDIES DEGREE PROGR AM DETAILS Earn your Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Liberal Studies with a completely customizable area of study. This is a perfect opportunity to selfdesign a program of coursework that is specific to your background or individual goals. As a liberal studies major, you’ll work with an academic advisor to create a degree plan that’s in line with your prior learning and educational interests, especially if they span more than one area. You’ll self-design more than half of your plan of study, taking advantage of the hundreds of class options available to Belmont students. You can earn a minor in a specific area or use the self-design portion of the degree to achieve pre-requisites for entry into a graduate program. If you have attended one or more colleges, the liberal studies degree is also a great choice because the wide room for elective hours makes good use of many transfer credits. This is your chance to study what you want and gain a degree that will jumpstart your future or accomplish a lifelong goal. GRADUATE PROFILE:

“I never thought I would be able to go to college. In fact, I’m the first person in my family to finish a college degree. During my teen years, there were adults who helped guide me, so I decided to choose counseling as my area of focus in liberal studies so that I can give back to students in our school system.”
