Earth Month is here, and OETA is honoring this land we call our home with relevant programming that acknowledges our past and cultivates our future. This month, learn about inventor Mária Telkes, who spent her career exploring how to harness the sun’s power in American Experience: The Sun Queen. Premiering Tuesday, April 4 at 8 p.m. In an all new NOVA Americans use ancient wisdom and new technology to fight extreme weather in Weathering the Future, which airs Wednesday, April 12 at 8 p.m.
Don’t miss an all new Gallery America as we explore Oklahoma comics in The Comic Book Show, premiering Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m. We are also excited to share Back in Time: Digging the Wagon Road. Our newest episode from Back in Time! Join us for the storied past of immigrants heading West during the California Gold Rush who passed through Oklahoma. See it first Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. on OETA.
For those of us who can’t get enough history programs like Finding Your Roots, you won’t want to miss the new season of My Grandparents’ War, starting Tuesday, April 11 at 8 p.m. In My Grandparents’ War, see celebrities such as Kit Harrington and Kiera Knightley discover their family’s stories from the war zone.
Thank you for your continued support of OETA, which allows us to provide such quality programming! In OETA’s efforts to go green, we are now offering to our donors the opportunity to receive a digital version of the Odyssey each month. If you would like to opt in to the digital version, please see below to sign up.
