Standard photosensors are available in either M18 barrel or block form design, covering almost all industrial applications. Both the M18 and block form models are available with either plastic or metal body and in all sensing technologies. The M18 models have options of either radial or axial optics. The range also includes laser models as well as a number of special versions, such as models for transparent objects. We offer a variety of accessories with a wide range of connectors, brackets and reflectors.

A wide range of special sensors can be found for applications that require greater accuracy or more demanding detection. Light curtains cover a larger area, fork photocells are suitable for accurate identification. Luminescence and colour sensors are suitable for the detection of fluorescent substances and different colours. Label sensors available for identification of various labels and marks. Laser sensors with analogue outputs can be found to measure distance with an accuracy of up to 1mm.
Fibre optic sensors have a separate amplifier and sensing head. This makes them the ideal solution for object detection in applications where space is limited or for the detection of very small objects. A full range of sensor heads and amplifiers are available.

Inductive sensors are used for position indication, impulse or motion detection for metallic objects. The sensor has no moving parts and is therefore suitable for applications with high contact frequency. Due to the compact and easy-mounted design of the sensor as well as contact-free function, the sensor is normally not subjected to mechanical wear. We can offer a range of units from M5 to M30 in cylindrical formats, as well as a range of rectangular units.

Level control can be achieved with our capacitive sensors, which measure liquids, bulk material, conductive liquids, and pastes. All body types from standard capacitives through to IP69K food grade are covered. Special versions are also available for demanding or unusual applications.
Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to a target by measuring the time between emission and reception using sound waves. They are used in applications where standard photosensors would not be suitable, such as a dusty or humid environment.

Encoders can be used in applications to transform mechanical movement into electrical signals. Incremental encoders generate pulses, where the number of pulses can be used to measure speed, length and position. With absolute encoders, every position corresponds to a unique code pattern. On start up of a system there is no requirement to reset. As the unique code pattern of the encoder is stored this increases the safety of the system and reduces the time taken on start up.

In a linear magnetic measuring system, the sensor system, also known as a scanning head or sensor, has contactless guidance over a coded magnetic tape. You can choose between incremental and absolute sensors. The measuring system is insensitive to dust, chips and moisture and is resistant to many liquids and oils. Various interfaces are available for the respective applications.

These radar scanners utilise 24 GHz frequencymodulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology, enabling reliable detection of objects and movement even in conditions with dust, smoke, fog, or varying light levels. The sensors are capable of monitoring predefined zones and can detect objects entering these areas, triggering safety responses as needed. With configurable detection fields and adjustable sensitivity settings, these radar scanners provide flexible integration into various industrial setups.
LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) uses laserbased time-of-flight (ToF) technology to construct a 360-degree view for the guidance of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Laser Guided Vehicles (LGV) and Automated Guided Forklifts (AGF). Datasensing’s LGS is a compact, rugged navigation LIDAR which can be mounted on suitable vehicles to provide distance and intensity measurement. Designed to be mounted on machines and sections of conveyors which cannot be protected by guards. In contrast to traditional mushroom head type emergency stop buttons, grab wire safety rope switches can initiate the emergency command from any point along the installed rope length and provide robust emergency stop rope pull protection for exposed conveyors or machines.

It is a crucial component in ensuring the safety of workers, operators, and the surrounding environment in industrial, commercial, and hazardous settings.

The sensing strip is made of conductive rubber: if the safety edge is pressed together there is a change in resistance and the control unit opens its safety outputs. Several sensing strips can be easily connected in series. OEM can supply parts only or a complete safety edge assembled to customer specifications.
ASO SENTIR safety bumpers are extremely vertatile and reliable. They ae used in a wide range of safety applications including transport, vehicles and trucks, production lines, mobile equipment and gates. It is possible to customise the bumpers and there is a wide range in terms of shape, colour and size.
ASO SENTIR safety mats are used to protect hazardous areas in industry and production. Stepping on the mat triggers an immediate “stop” to prevent people from getting too close to hazardous machinery, preventing injury. A single composite unit in polyurethane guarantees impermeability to oils, water and dirt. The surface is also designed to minimise the risk of slipping.

WAREHOUSING & LOGISTICS At OEM Automatic we are proud of our modern semi-automated warehouse with excellent warehouse management software. We have eight Kardex vertical storage machines, each with a footprint of 12m² yet providing 200m² of shelf storage space. This gives us substantial dynamic storage for automation products of all shapes and sizes. Working closely with our freight partners, we constantly monitor our delivery accuracy to ensure we can offer next day deliveries in the UK as standard. Same day delivery services are also available upon request. We offer weekly shipment consolidation which can improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary carriage costs. We also have dedicated staff to handle claims and quality control to ensure quick resolution of your queries.

SUSTAINABILITY We at OEM Automatic aim to minimise our environmental impact and strive for sustainable development. OEM is following the United Nations’ 17 global goals, agreed by world leaders in 2015 as the UN’s 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
