Irish-American Beef Stew

Directions

This is not your standard Irish Stew, that uses boiled lamb. This Recipe is from my Irish Great Grandmother Lillian, who came to Oklahoma in a covered wagon during the Oklahoma Land Rush! My Irish Grandmother Florene who was born on St. Patrick's day made some slight modifications. Enjoy!

1. In A Large Stock Pot Brown The Stew Meat, Add The Garlic and The Bouillon Cube and Enough Water to Cover Plus 3 Inches. Bring to a Boil Then Turn Heat Down and Simmer 30 Minutes.

Ingredients:

2. While the simmering clean and cut all vegetables.

2-3 lbs of Stew Meat or Chuck Roast Cut into 1'' Cubes. 1 Beef Bouillon Cube or 2 Cups Beef Stock 4 Cloves Garlic, Coarsely Chopped 8-10 Carrots Cut 1'' thick 1/2 Head of Cabbage, Cut into 1 inch squares 2 Yellow Onions, Cut in to 4ths ( Quartered) 6-7 Medium Red Potatoes, Cut into 1'' cubes. 4-5 Stalks of Celery, Cut 1'' Thick (3) 14.5 oz. Cans of Stewed Tomatoes (2) 15 oz. Cans of Tomato Sauce 2 Table Spoons of Chilli Powder (Williams) 1/2 Tsp Salt And Ground Black Pepper

3. Skim Off Foam From Top of Beef with Ladle Next add Carrots and Cook on Medium Heat for 30 Min. 4. Add Cabbage and Cook 30 Min. 5. Add All Remaining Ingredients Cover and Cook 30 Min. 6. Remove Cover Check for Taste, Turn to Low Heat and Cook Until Potatoes are Done. Serve With Garlic Bread.

River Spirit Casino Resort Announces Frankie Valli to Perform Saturday, November 10, 2018 @ 8:00 pm Tickets go on sale September 14

FrankieValli is set to perform at River Spirit Casino’s concert venue, Paradise Cove. Oh, what a story. Frankie Valli, who came to fame in 1962 as the lead singer of the Four Seasons, is hotter than ever in the 21st century. Thanks to the volcanic success of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, which chronicles the life and times of Frankie and his legendary group, such classic songs as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Rag Doll,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” are all the rage all over again. As the play enters its third sold-out year on Broadway, and two touring companies of Jersey Boys travel around the U.S., the real Frankie Valli is packing concert halls coast to coast, from the Rose Theater, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, to L.A.’s Kodak Theater, home of the Academy Awards. Now Frankie salutes the decade that made him a star with his first new studio album in 15 years. In Romancing The ’60s, to be released October 2, he puts his own stamp on some of his favorite ’60s songs, the ones he always wanted to record but somehow got away. Launched with perfect timing amid Jersey Boy-mania, Romancing The ’60s is the most eagerly anticipated album of Frankie Valli’s 54-year recording career.
