Oven Brisket

Serves 12 This is a great way to cook brisket if you do not have a smoker. The result is tender & Juicy. The wonderful aroma will fill your kitchen and make you, and anyone else hungry for a great brisket. Ingredients: * 4 to 6 lb. beef brisket, cut in 1/2, salt and pepper all sides well. * * * * * * *

SAUCE 1/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce 1/4 Cup Liquid smoke (Colgin's is best) 1 tbl Garlic powder 2 tsp Celery salt 2 tsp Lemon pepper 1 Cup Chopped onion or 1/4 Cup of dried . 1\2 Cup Water with 1/2 bouillon cube dissolved

Love & Food Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 275º F. 2. Thoroughly mix all ingredients for sauce. 3. In a large Pyrex baking dish, put both halves of the brisket fat side up, and pour sauce over the brisket. 4. Seal the dish well with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Bake at 275º F for 5 to 6 hours. 5. Remove from oven, leave covered and allow to stand for 1 hour before slicing. Slice across the grain, and serve with sauce. Makes 8 to 10 servings. Notes: This recipe works well with a 5- to 6-pound brisket. Be sure to use a Pyrex baking dish or very heavy metal pan. Wrap left overs in heavy Aluminum foil and refrigerate. Slice and chop to make great drip beef sandwiches
