!Love & Food ! Roast Turkey

SERVES: 10 TO 12 Note that you'll need to brine this turkey for 10 to 12 hours before roasting it. Don't worry if a small portion of the turkey is not submerged in the brine.

Ingredients 1 1/2 cups kosher salt 1 cup sugar One 12- to 14-pound turkey---neck, wing tips and giblets reserved, cavity fat removed 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped 1 carrot, coarsely chopped 1 celery rib, coarsely chopped 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Directions 1. In a Ice Chest or plastic tub, mix 1 1/2 gallons of water with the salt and sugar; stir to dissolve the salt and sugar. Add the turkey to the brine, breast side down and refrigerate for 10 to 12 hours. 2. Remove the turkey from the brine, rinse it in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Discard the brine.

Glazed Ham with Dijon-Pineapple Sauce

3. Preheat the oven to 400º Fh. Place half of the onions, carrot and celery in the turkey cavity. Using kitchen string, tie the turkey legs together, then bring the string around the turkey and tie the wings at the breast. Scatter the remaining onions, carrot and celery in a large roasting pan. Oil a Vshaped rack and set it in the pan. Transfer the turkey to the rack, breast side up. Brush the turkey with the melted butter. Pour 1 cup of water into the pan and roast the turkey for 45 minutes. 4. Baste the turkey with the pan juices and add 1 more cup of water to the pan. Roast the turkey for about 1 hour and 45 minutes longer, basting it with the pan juices every 30 minutes or so and adding another 1/2 cup of water to the roasting pan whenever the vegetables begin to brown. The turkey is done when an instant-read thermometer inserted in an inner thigh registers 165º Fh. Transfer the turkey to a carving board, cover loosely with foil and let rest for 20 to 30 minutes before carving. Reserve the juices in the roasting pan for making the gravy. MAKE AHEAD The turkey can be prepared through Step 2 and refrigerated for up to 8 hours.

!Love & Food ! Directions PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix sugar, syrup and mustard until well blended; set aside. Score ham with sharp knife; insert cloves into ham as desired. Arrange cherries, cut-sides down, on surface of ham. Place ham on rack in shallow baking pan.

Ingredients 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar 1/2 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup 1/4 cup GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard 1 whole fully cooked boneless ham (5 lb.) Whole cloves 12 maraschino cherries, halved 1 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained

BAKE 2 hours or until ham reaches internal temperature of 140°F when tested in center with meat thermometer, brushing occasionally with 1/2 cup of the syrup mixture after 1-1/2 hours. Terry Fator brings comedy act back to Tulsa Nov. 12

One-of-a-kind show returning to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa

Terry Fator, comedian, celebrity impressionist and one of Las Vegas’ best ventriloquists, is bringing his unique show back to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. Tickets start at $55 and go on sale Sept. 14. Fator will bring a variety of puppets to life, including Winston the Impersonating Turtle, Monty Carlo the lounge singer, and country legend Walter T. Airdale. He can impersonate countless voices, singing everything from Nat King Cole, Garth Brooks, Roy Orbison, Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Bruno Mars and more. He’s a success story 25 years in the making. After performing at countless county fairs and other venues, the Dallas native got his big break after winning season 2 of “America’s Got Talent” in 2007. Later that year, he signed a deal to perform at the Las Vegas Hilton before signing to headline his own show, “Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment,” at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. Fator’s show is enjoyed by millions with his award-winning live shows as well as through multiplatinumselling DVDs and numerous television appearances. His 2014 DVD, “Terry Fator: Live in Concert,” was launched at the same time as an updated version of his Las Vegas show. “Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment” has also had the honor of being recognized by The Best of Las Vegas Awards for Best Show, Best All-Around Performer, Best Impersonator and Best Overall Show. In 2013, he released a country music album called “It Starts Tonight” as well as a children’s book named “Lamu, The Christmas Kitten,” which is a story of the life of Jesus Christ as told through the eyes of his cat.

Eddie Money, Starship feat. Mickey Thomas land in Tulsa Nov. 16 Two icons join forces at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa Eddie Money is teaming up with storied rock band Starship, featuring Mickey Thomas, to celebrate decades of hits at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Nov. 16. Tickets start at $35 and go on sale Sept. 28. Money continues to delight new and old fans alike at venues throughout the country. He burst onto the scene in 1977 with his debut album that went double platinum with hits like “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.” The former New York City police officer continued his success streak with several hits, including some of the era’s most creative videos for songs like “Think I’m in Love” and “Shakin’.” In 1986, Money released the platinum-certified album “Can’t Hold Back,” which features the Grammy-nominated duet “Take Me Home Tonight” with Ronnie Spector. Mickey Thomas is considered one of rock music’s most recognizable stars. He first made his mark in 1976 with The Elvin Bishop Band and the hit “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” before joining Jefferson Starship in 1979. The group immediately scored a No. 1 hit with “Jane.” With Thomas’ soaring voice, the group renamed itself Starship and released a string of hits, including “No Way Out,” “We Built This City,” “Sara” and the Oscar-nominated hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” from the movie “Mannequin.” Other hits include “It’s Not Over Till It’s Over,” which became Major League Baseball’s theme in 1987. Every album released by the group has gone gold, platinum and multiplatinum. Starship will also feature Jeff Adams on bass, John Roth on guitar, Phil Bennett on keyboards, Darrell Verdusco on drums and Stephanie Calvert on vocals.

BLAKE SHELTON KICKING OFF 'COUNTRY MUSIC FREAKS' TOUR AT BOK CENTER IN 2018 CONCERT IS THE THIRD SHOW ANNOUNCED FOR THE '10 FOR 10' CONCERT SERIES

Thursday, February 15, 2018 TICKETS: $46 - $95 (Additional Fees May Apply)

Country superstar Blake Shelton kicked this year off by “Doing It To Country Songs,” and he will jump into 2018 with his fellow Country Music Freaks on his just announced headlining tour. Shelton will hit the road alongside Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce and very special guest Trace Adkins on Thursday, February, 15 at BOK Center. Full list of dates below. The concert is the third show announced for BOK Center's "10 for 10" concert series in 2018, a planned celebration that will feature ten blockbuster artists commemorating the arena's 10th anniversary. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 10 at 10AM and will be available online at www.bokcenter.com, Arby's Box Office at BOK Center, or by calling 1866-7-BOKCTR. American ExpressÆ Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Friday, November 3 at 10AM local time through Thursday, November 9 at 10 PM local time. “The main thing that I look forward to these days, and honestly I always have, is my live performances,” said Shelton. And even though I’m the first to say that too much time on the road can wear me down, too much time away from the road can break my heart. It’s been a while and I cannot wait to get out there! I think this is going to be my greatest tour yet. The upcoming tour will showcase fan favorites along with music from Shelton’s latest project, Texoma Shore. Due this Friday, November 3 and available now for pre-order, the album is led by his quickly rising single “I’ll Name The Dogs.” The romantic tune climbed into the Top 10 this week at country radio within two months of impact, with Taste of Country praising one of the strongest, most compelling melodies of any song [Shelton] has recorded and released in years. After making it’s I HeartRadio world premiere this morning, Shelton will take another brand new track, At The House, to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this evening on NBC at 11:35/10:35c. In addition to the headliner himself, the Country Music Freaksî Tour will feature performances from three of the biggest country music freaks in the business: Sheltonís chart-topping, Platinum selling label mate Brett Eldredge, People-deemed new voice of Country Carly Pearce and Sheltonís ìHillbilly Boneî duet partner and good friend, Trace Adkins. Eldredge brought his 2017 self-titled album to the top of Billboardís all-genre Top Album Sales and Country Albums charts upon release. With six Country Airplay No. 1 singles under his belt, the singer / songwriterís latest song The Long Way is already proving to be another smash with over 15 million streams and counting. Pearce released her debut album Every Little Thing on Big Machine Records October 13 as the Top 5 title track makes her the only solo female currently ranked this high ñ and one of only three females to reach Top 10 this year ñ at country radio. Adkins, who will join Shelton on stage for multisong appearances during his set, has enjoyed extensive radio and sales successes throughout his 20-year career. Added Shelton: “These are some of the best people I’ve had on a tour. Brett Eldredge is going to be there with me. I’ve known that kid for many years now and itís been fun to see his career grow ñ heís a great singer and such a funny guy to be around. Heís ugly, but it just shows you that enough talent can break down those barriers and he’s been able to make it anyway. Weíre also going to have Carly Pearce out there, and sheís had a breakthrough with her first hit this year. Then bringing along my longtime friend and brother Trace Adkins and who knows what’s going to happen with him. To be honest we donít even really have a plan yet, I just knew we needed to spend a little time together, and what better way than out on the road? Shelton is teaming up with CID Entertainment once again to offer VIP Experiences throughout the tour.
