Vaccine & Impacts of Virus Variants With a virus begins reproducing itself, it gets distorted from its original shape, as has been witnessed so far. These are the normal syndrome for a deadly virus. The process of distortion from one shape into another is termed as mutations. When this process is repeated, this is called variant of the actual form of the virus. The widespread movement of virus within the peripheral of particular vicinity and giving rise to many infections often pushes movement of mutations. Even the rapid mutations of virus do not affect its efficacy to create infections and illness among the people. As such, major significance of ‘vaccines’ to kill the deadly coronavirus keeps utmost importance, at least in present situation. No doubt, these vaccines are still in their novice stage, but their impact has so far been impeccable among the masses. Vaccines are now supposed to be standing as a big safety and protections against the deadly virus. Vaccines, actually, extract wide immune rejoinder that often contain antibodies & cells. Hence quite distortions in the shape or movement of virus do not turn the vaccines defunct. In case, a particular vaccine appears to be fewer effective so as to defeat one more variants, then the experts may think to change the composition of the vaccines so that it can save the victim against these variants. The World Health Organization is now chalking out its plan with the help of researchers and experts to understand the way these variants influence the behavior of the virus. It also comprises their influence on the effectiveness of vaccines. Therefore, the vaccines may require taking in more than one strain when in expansion. Besides, a motivated shot is needed and changes may be needed in future. The analysis of the effect of vaccines after these are applied is also important so as to know the relevance of the vaccines. As the impact of the deadly coronavirus came into light, the premier institutions including the WHO and others similar organizations tracing the mutation processes and variants. The main network comprises a dedicated Virus Evolution Working Group that may focus on to identify a fresh modification rapidly & review their probable effect. A group of experts conducted genomic sequencing of the Corona virus and published the same to make it accessible to the common. This world level alliance motivated the experts to understand the way the virus is varying. Further, the World Health Organization confirmed that majorities of nation grew up the sequencing of the coronavirus to the possible extent and shared the data to assist in understanding the next pandemic. A COVID-19 Risk Monitoring and Evaluation Framework was established by the WHO to understand, measure and evaluate the concerned variants. Monitoring, research on variants of concern and assessment of the effect on tests are among other components involve in these activities. Basic structure would act as a fresh direction for the manufacturers as well as the various nations. The ongoing trend to check the transmission like: incessant hand washing, wearing mask, maintaining physical as well as social distancing, proper ventilation, avoiding congregations is of course playing a vital role in defeating the new variants by minimizing the quantity of viral transmission & hence checking mutation processes of the virus.

INDIA GEARS UP FOR WHEAT PROCUREMENT AT MSP
T
he country has now geared up for record wheat procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the current rabi season. Soon after the season began, the purchases of wheat, the key rabi cereal, by the official procurement agencies crossed the halfway mark against the target set for the season. If we look back, we find the pace of procurement and prevailing low market rates, the government may end up buying more than the target, which will put pressure on it to liquidate the stocks. This time around, the funds are being transferred directly to the farmers’ bank accounts, throughout the country. Even Punjab joined the system, ending initial confusion over the manner of paying MSP to farmers in the state due to the state government’s reluctance to embracing the direct bank transfer system. As of now, the FCI and state agencies have purchased 22.23 MT of wheat, as against 7.76 MT during corresponding period of last year, sources from the concerned Ministry said. The purchases, as is the pattern, have been the highest in Punjab despite a late start from April 10, followed by Haryana and MP. The procurement in Uttar Pradesh, the biggest producer of wheat, stands at 0.77 MT, higher than year-ago period. Wheat procurement last year started a fortnight late from its normal schedule of April 1, 2021 due to the lockdown and pace was slow because of social-distancing norms. Almost INR 8,180 crore has been transferred into the bank account of farmers in Punjab and about INR 4,668 crore in Haryana. As per record, a record wheat production of 109.24 MT in the country during 2020-21 crop year, the government has set a target to buy 42.74 MT for the central pool that is almost 10 per cent more than actual quantity that was purchased in 2020. This year the wheat procurement started about 15 days earlier than that of the previous records especially in MP, Rajasthan and Gujarat. However, the procurement would probably by June.

NATIONWIDE CORONA LOCKDOWN MAY AFFECT INDIA’S GDP UP TO 2 PERCENT
R
ecent month – long nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of Coronavirus 2.0 may shorten almost 100-200 bps of the country ’s Gross Domestic Product. According to a report prepared by the Bank of America Securities India, it would be in a 300-bps risk to annual growth. The report also expressed reservations over the ability of local lockdown to control the pandemic. This
situation has caught the Modi government off-guard with the daily caseload surging over 6.5 times over the past 30 days. With a record of around 3.53 lakh new daily cases, India has now turned to be the worst-hit country across the world. Through a note, the economic experts of the Bank of America Securities India, Indranil Sen Gupta and Aastha Gudwani said, “Now, it remains to be seen whether
the second wave subsides without a national level lockdown. A month of nationwide lockdown costs 100-200 bps of GDP. This poses a 300-bps risk to our 9 per cent real GVA growth forecast for FY22”. Given the high economic cost, they expect the Centre and the states to try to contain the spread with further tightening of night curfews and localised lockdowns. The economists also expect the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to come to aid by funding the government’s welfare measures, like the resumption of free food grains to the needy in May-June, for which it needs an additional Rs 26,000 crore, or 0.1 per cent of GDP, through OMOs/G-Saps and other liquidity infusing measures to arrest the rise in yields. Experts predicted that the RBI to remain on hold in FY22 and hike rates by 100 bps in FY23. Meanwhile, the brokerage said, “To slow rise in yields, we expect the RBI to conduct USD68.7 billion of OMOs/G-Saps and hike and extend banks’ HTM limits by 2 per cent of their books to FY26, and continue forward forex intervention”. Showing concern over the vaccination drive, the economists stated, about 8.7 per cent of the entire population has already been administered the first dose and they would be given the second doses soon.
INDIA’S REGULATORY BODY STEPS-UP TO APPOINT STATUTORY AUDITORS
I
ndia’s Central Bank and the regulatory body of Indian banks, the RBI has on April 26, 2021 issued guidelines for appointment of statutory auditors of banks and non-banking finance companies, apart from housing finance companies of the country. ‘Guidelines for Appointment of Statutory Central Auditors (SCAs)/Statutory Auditors (SAs) of Commercial Banks, UCBs and NBFCs would be applicable for the upcoming financial years. On the other hands, non-deposit taking NBFCs with asset size below Rs 1,000 Cr have the option to continue with their extant procedure. As per the RBI, the guidelines provide necessary instructions for appointment of SCAs/SAs, the number of auditors, their eligibility criteria, tenure and rotation, etc. while ensuring the independence of auditors. As the guidelines are being implemented for the first time for Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs) and NBFCs from 2021-22, “they shall have the flexibility to adopt these guidelines from the second half of FY 2021-22, in order to ensure that there is no disruption”. Banks and UCBs will be required to take prior approval of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for appointment/reappointment of SCAs/SAs, on an annual basis, the guidelines said. For entities with an asset size of Rs 15,000 crore and above as at the end of previous year, statutory audit should be conducted under joint audit of a minimum of two audit firms. All other entities should appoint a minimum of one audit firm for conducting statutory audit.
The RBI guideline said, “It shall be ensured that joint auditors of the entity do not have any common partners and they are not under the same network of audit firms. Further, the entity may finalize the work allocation among SCAs/SAs, before the commencement of the statutory audit, in consultation with their SCAs/SAs”. It also said that in order to protect the independence of the auditors and audit firms, entities will have to appoint the SCAs/SAs for a continuous period of three years.

EUROPE, ASIA WITNESSES MIXED SHARES & PROFITS
T
he European countries and Asia had on May 3, 2021 witnessed mixed shares after strong corporate earnings, though the data lifted stocks on Wall Street. Besides others, London, Paris and Hong Kong increased, Frankfurt declined, comparatively. But the oil prices increased in the meantime. Meanwhile, owing to the holidays, cities like: Tokyo, Shanghai and few others were closed. “In comparison to the previous year, the profits increased by almost 30 per cent in the first-quarter of the year 2021. Now following increased crude oil prices and recovering demand as major economies have scrabbled their way out of recession. And hence, easing restrictions amid the ongoing vaccination drives to defeat the deadly coronavirus”, Saudi Aramco said. While in the New York Mercantile Exchange, the United States benchmark crude oil has jumped about 70 cents to USD65.19 per barrel in electronic trading. On May 2, 2021 it had rose 91 cents to USD64.49 per barrel. Brent crude, the international standard, picked up 70 cents to USD68.31 per barrel. While, Japan was closed for Golden Week early May holidays, the trading turned thin with markets in China. The DAX of Germany lost 0.6 per cent to 15,143.42 and the CAC 40 in Paris edged 0.2 per cent higher, to 6,317.39. In London, the FTSE 100 gained 0.5 per cent to 7,005.12. The future for the Dow industrials slipped 0.1 per cent while that for the S&P 500 lost 0.2 per cent. On May 2, 2021, a strong dose of positive earnings reports and economic data that showed the U.S. economy is growing pushed the S&P 500 up 0.3 per cent. In Asian trading, Hong Kong’s Hang

The sensex of India gave up early gains, falling 0.2 per cent to 48,610.71. The Reserve Bank of Australia left its policies unchanged at its May meeting. The lack of trading in China and Japan and mixed results in New York “left the region content to sit in wait-and-see mode with Covid-19 nerves regionally, offsetting the bullishness of the Wall Street reopening gnomes”, Jeffrey Halley of Oanda said in a commentary. The Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the economic outlook has “clearly
brightened” in the United States, but the recovery remains too uneven. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.7 per cent to 34,113.23. The tech-heavy Nasdaq shed an early gain, falling 0.5 per cent to 13,895.12. The Russell 2000 index picked up 0.5 per cent to 2,277.45. Stocks have been grinding higher on expectations of an economic recovery and strong company profits this year as large-scale coronavirus vaccination programs help people return to jobs and normal activities after more than a year of restrictions. Massive support from the United States Government and the Federal Reserve, and increasingly positive economic data, have also helped put investors in a buying mood, keeping stock indexes near their all-time highs. Over half of the companies in the S&P 500 have reported their results so far this earnings season, which show profit growth of 54 per cent so far, according to FactSet. This is another busy week for earnings reports, with Merck, Pepsi, Colgate-Palmolive and CVS among the companies reporting their latest quarterly results. Investors will also get April’s jobs report. The yield was on the 10-year United States. The Treasury note was steady at 1.61 per cent. The U.S. dollar rose to 109.42 Japanese yen from 109.09 yen. The euro fell to USD1.2003 from USD1.2066. INCREASING RATES OF INTEREST CAN MAINTAIN ECONOMIC GROWTH OF US
T
he interest rates may have to be kept on rise to maintain an unprecedented growth of the United States Economy that has brought on in part by trillions of dollars in the spur spending of the Government, asserts the US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen. She added that it might be the interest rates that would have to rise somewhat to make sure that their economy did not overheat. Yellen was speaking during an economic forum presented by The Atlantic in the first week of May 2021. It may be the reason behind some very modest increases in interest rates despite, the additional spending is comparatively small with respect to the size of the economy. She believed that these were the investments that their economy needed to be competitive and to be productive. She further thought that their economy would grow faster because of the situation. Later in the day, Yellen angered her comments somewhat on the need for growing rates, saying she respects the Federal Reserve’s independence and was not trying to influence decision-making there. She chaired the Fed from the years 2014 to 2018. The Fed sets interest rates through its Federal Open Market Committee during the time. This is not something that I am predicting or recommending. If anybody appreciates the independence of the Fed, it may be thought that person may be someone and it must be noted that Fed could be counted on to do whatever was important to achieve their dual mandate objectives. The United States Economy has been on fire, with the first-quarter GDP growth at 6.4 per cent. Recently, Goldman Sachs said that it anticipated the second quarter that grew up around 10.5 per cent. Because of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic broke during the months of February – March 2020, the Congress allocated some USD5.3 trillion in stimulus

spending, resulting in a more than USD3 trillion budget deficit in fiscal 2020 and a USD1.7 trillion shortfall in the first half of fiscal 2021. The Biden administration is pushing an infrastructure plan that could see another USD4 trillion spent on a variety of longer-term projects. However, she said the United States needed to focus on financial responsibility longer term, Yellen said spending on matters should have been significant to the mission of the government, but has been left ignored for too long. The newly elected US President, Joe Biden, has taken a very ambitious approach by making up really for over a decade of inadequate investment in infrastructure, in R&D, in people, in communities and small businesses,
and it is an active approach. But we have gone for way too long on letting long-term problems fester in our economy, Yellen said. The Fed has kept short-term interest rates anchored near zero for more than a year, despite an economy growing at its fastest pace in nearly 40 years. Central bank officials have vowed to keep accommodative policy in place until the economy makes substantial further progress toward full and inclusive employment and inflation that averages around 2 per cent over a longer term. Inflation concerns have arisen due to all the spending and the rapid growth, but Fed officials have said that after a brief rise this year, price pressures are likely to ebb. Yellen has said she is largely not concerned about inflation becoming a problem, though she has added that there are tools to address it should that happen. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell recently said that the primary tool to control inflation is through higher interest rates. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Biden “certainly agrees with his Treasury secretary,” on the potential need for higher rates. The United States is running and the Businessmen need to pay for some of the things that they are doing, though the government still has a reasonable amount of financial space.

USNSP, TENCENT UNDERGOES A BUSINESS AGREEMENT
A
n agreement is now being negotiated between Tencent Holdings Ltd and the United States National Security Panel (USNSP). This agreement is meant to allow the Tencent Holdings Ltd to continue its ownership stakes in the U.S. video game developers - Riot Games and Epic Games. The company (Tencent) has been in news with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) that had the authority to order the Chinese technology giant to separate from the United States holdings right from the June 2020. The CFIUS has been looking in to whether Epic Games’ and Riot Games’ handling of the personal data of their users constitutes a national security risk because of their Chinese ownership, the sources added. Tencent owns a 40 per cent stake in Epic Games, the maker of popular video game Fortnite. Tencent also bought a majority stake in Riot Games in 2011 and acquired the rest of the company in 2015.
The CFIUS has not sought to enforce the divestiture order under Biden. Epic is locked in a legal fight with Apple Inc (AAPL.O) over access to the iPhone maker’s app store
Riot Games is the developer of ‘League of Legends’. This is one of the most popular desktop-based games in the world. Tencent is negotiating risk-mitigation measures with CFIUS so it can keep its investments, according to the sources. The details of the proposed measures could not be learned. They typically involve ring fencing the owner of a company from operations that have national security implications. They often call for the appointment of independent auditors to monitor the implementation of these agreements. Reliable sources said that the Epic Games had not been sharing any user data with Tencent. The sources cautioned there is no certainty that Tencent will clinch deals to keep its investments and asked not to be identified because the matter is confidential. Tencent, Epic Games and a CFIUS representative at the U.S. Treasury Department declined to comment. A Riot Games spokesman said the Los Angeles-based company operates independently of Tencent and that it has implemented ‘industry-leading practices’
to protect player data. He declined to comment on Riot Games’ discussions with the CFIUS. The CFIUS has been cracking down on Chinese ownership of U.S. technology assets in the last few years, amid an escalation in tensions between Washington and Beijing over trade, human rights and the protection of intellectual property. The U.S. officials have expressed concerns that the personal data of U.S. citizens could end up in the hands of China’s Communist Party government. Recently elected, US President, Joe Biden’s administration has maintained the hawkish stance against China inherited in January from his predecessor Donald Trump, albeit with more of a focus on geopolitical issues such as the future of Taiwan and Hong Kong, as well as China’s persecution of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang. Yet many key CFIUS roles have not yet been staffed. This has provided a reprieve to China’s ByteDance, which was ordered by Trump last year to

sell its popular short video app TikTok but balked at a transaction that would have involved Oracle Corp and Walmart Inc . The CFIUS has not sought to enforce the divestiture order under Biden. Epic is locked in a legal fight with Apple Inc (AAPL.O) over access to the iPhone maker’s app store. It alleges that Apple forces developers to use its in-app payment systems - which charge commissions of up to 30 per cent - and to submit to app-review guidelines that discriminate against products that compete with Apple’s own. Apple argues that Epic Games broke their contract when it introduced its own in-app payment system in Fortnight to circumvent Apple’s commissions. It says the way it runs the app store inspires trust in consumers to open up their wallets to unknown developers. The vast businesses of Tencent include video games, content streaming, social media, and advertising and cloud services. China has in recent months sought to curb the economic and social power of Tencent and other internet companies such as Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (9988.HK), in a clampdown backed by President Xi Jinping. Reuters reported last week that Beijing was preparing a substantial antitrust fine for Tencent.

US GAS SUPPLIERS, PIPELINE COMPANIES EMERGES SIGNIFICANT MARKET WINNERS
T
he natural gas suppliers, pipeline companies and banks involved in trading the commodities have now emerged as the biggest market winners from the winter blast of United States February. It all has shacked the markets of gas and power. Over a 100 people have died and almost 4.5 million were left without power as the deep freeze caught Texas’s utilities off-guard. Regular demands for heat pushed wholesale power costs to 400 times the normal amount and compelled the natural gas prices to record highs. Some of the companies are trying to escape from the normal talks soon after the storm. Sections of companies wanted to talk about their financial gains, not willing to be seen as profiting off the hardships of others. The biggest winners were companies with access to supplies, including leading energy trader Vitol, gas suppliers Kinder Morgan, Enterprise Products Partners & Energy Transfer and banks Goldman Sachs Bank of America and Macquarie Group. The joint stand of the firm to collect billions of dollars as a profit by selling gas and power amid the storm is an issue. Possible denial by some companies in collecting on those sales because of current legal juggling cannot be ruled out. These losers include producers that could not deliver oil and gas due to frozen wellheads, gathering systems and processing stations. Utilities are difficult of price scoring & of superfluous supply cancellations. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is reviewing gas and power markets for potential market manipulation. Goldman Sachs and Vitol did not comment. The transfer of Energy that can collect almost 60 per cent of the United States daily gas utilization in areas hit hardest by the February freeze. It would report a profit of USD850 million from selling the fuel to utilities and industrial customers during the storm. Energy Transfer did not comment for this story. The company reports results. Another gas storage, Kinder Morgan, and pipeline operator, earned about USD1 billion during the storm, the vast majority from higher gas prices and sales. and backup generators ahead of the storm to its gas storage and pipeline facilities would act perfectly. At the beginning of February, gas prices ranged from USD2.50 to USD3 per million British thermal unit at hubs from Houston to Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Energy traders along with three Texas electric cooperatives told Reuters they paid as much as USD400 per mmBtu during a four-day stretch that began Valentine’s Day weekend. They requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the crisis. An energy and environmental advisory committee member at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the director at Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy organization, Tyson Slocum said, “I have been tracking natural gas markets for two decades. I have never seen price increases like we saw”. The second-largest marketer of U.S. natural gas, Australia’s Macquarie, said its trading around the storm boosted its overall profit

outlook for the year by about 10 per cent, which analysts estimated at about AUSD400 million. Macquarie traders researched how previous cold fronts disrupted infrastructure to prepare a plan, said sources within the firm, who requested anonymity. The grid operator ERCOT of Texas canceled USD1 billion in service charges and state officials are considering securitizing unpaid ERCOT bills from electric companies that defaulted. Most of the firms that profited from trading like: Goldman Sachs and BofA, are also facing losses from their exposure to utilities and electric co-operatives that have declared bankruptcy. The BofA made hundreds of millions via its trading arm, but it is owed nearly USD480 million by Brazos Electric Power Cooperative. Disputes over price gouging and reneged contracts have also emerged after some suppliers declared the freeze was a force majeure event that allowed them to suspend contracts. Macquarie was sued by Exxon seeking to void an USD11 million gas bill. CPS Energy sued BP, Chevron, Energy Transfer and others for submitting bills that ran into the hundreds of millions of dollars. The wind farm operators of Texas have also filed lawsuits against trading arms of JP Morgan Chase and Citigroup, maintaining the cold snap was an extreme event.

STRONG ECO-SYSTEM AND EASING ENVIRONMENT
NEED OF THE PLANET
India’s noted Public Sector Unit, IOL believes in creating pillars that that can ensure social as well as environmental safety for the masses.
T
his is not impossible, instead it’s possible to meet the country ’s requirements of energy while, protecting its citizen and the ecosystem. It should be the commitment of the system to conduct business in such a manner that it can be compatible with the environmental and economic needs of the communities through which one operates and protects the safety of every employee. India’s noted Public Sector Unit, IndianOil, accords top priority to conducting its business with a strong environment conscience that can ensure sustainable development, safe workplaces and enrichment of the quality of life of its employees, customers and community at large. This leading oil & gas corporate has always remained confident and committed to excel in Safety, Health and Environmental performance. Let us know, the way the IndianOil employees are pursuing multiple commitments at the operations, social and environmental levels relentlessly.
The Way Indian Oil Manages Country’s Eco-System During refinery operations, wastage of water, flue of gases and fugitive emissions and solid wastes are obvious. Normally, the refineries are significant consumers of scarce resources like water and energy. And hence pollution control and resource conservation activities are a priority area for environment management at Indian Oil. Effective treatment of wastewater and recycling, energy conservation and pollution abatement are examples of integrated activities that result in both pollution control and resource conservation. Besides other steps, minimizing adverse environmental impact from refinery activities, products and services by using processes, practices, materials that avoid, reduce or control pollution and conserving

scarce natural resources their consumption is continually optimized are important.
Management of Waste Water Most of the refineries are equipped with a network of underground sewers for segregated collection of various wastewater streams, which are subjected to precise treatment in well-designed effluent treatment facilities involving physical, chemical and biological processes. State of art equipment have been provided in the ETPs for treating oily wastewater and hydrogen peroxide / wet air oxidation treatment for spent caustic streams etc. These treatment facilities are backed by sophisticated instrumentation and real time monitoring systems for close and precise monitoring. In Marketing and Pipeline locations, effluent water is routed through oil water separator. The Major Steps for Conserving Water are as Follows: 1. The treated effluent streams are often recycled for various purposes in refineries. 2. Acerbic water generated in various units is stripped of contaminants such as ammonia and H2S and recycled. 3. Treatment systems like Ultra Filtration, Reverse Osmosis etc. are used to convert treated effluent to demineralised water or for use in cooling towers as make-up water. 4. Rainwater harvesting structures have been put up in all refinery townships, Marketing and Pipeline installations and R&D Centre for recharging groundwater.
Containing Environmental Pollutions Main focus is given to contain emissions in the refineries. Main sources of air emissions are flue gases from boilers and heaters, FCC regenerators and Sulphur
Recovery Units. Hydrocarbon leaks and evaporation during storage, handling and transportation of petroleum products and crude oil are sources of fugitive emissions. Measures adopted to control emissions are as follows: • Tall stacks for effective dispersion of pollutants. • Use of low sulphur fuel oil/ sweet natural gas desulphurised refinery gas in boilers and heaters to minimize SO2 emission. • Use of low NOx burners. • Hydrogen Sulphide generated during desulphurization of refinery gas is converted to elemental sulphur in Sulphur Recovery Units. • Sulphur dioxide emissions from Catalytic Crackers are controlled by effective feed sulphur management. • Flue gas scrubbing at FCC units at Haldia & Barauni Refineries for arresting emission of sulphur dioxide and particulate matters. • Carbon monoxide from FCCU regenerator is incinerated in CO Boilers and the resultant energy is utilized for steam generation. • Use of floating roof tanks for crude and other light product services & Mechanical seals in pumps for minimizing fugitive emission of hydrocarbons. • Use of closed blow down vessels & safety release to flare system for arresting any emission of hydrocarbons during all situations, normal, abnormal as well as emergencies. • Continuous reduction in fuel consumption by ENCON measures, heat integration and increased use of hot feed in downstream processing units. • Flare gas recovery systems.
Management of Solid Wastes Check, Minimize, Reuse and Recover are the fundamental principles that govern all our activities. Merely chemical, biological sludge generated from storage tanks during refinery turnarounds or from the basins & storage tanks of effluent treatment.

Creating Green Parks, Strong Eco-System IndianOil regards ecological and environmental protection as the focal point of our environmental conservation program. To give back to the nature, large scale tree plantation activities are carried out at all our installations. Scientifically designed green belts have been developed, which serve as a pollution sinks and enhance aesthetics. Lakhs of trees already adorn our green belts. Ecological Parks have been developed at Refineries with lush green cover that serves as natural habitat for a large number of birds. More than 300 species of resident and migratory birds thrive in these Eco Parks. Over 285 species of native and exotic plants and trees grow there. Further, as a green initiative, e-portals have been launched and payments, data transfer are done using the electronic media. This results in considerable saving of paper, thereby preventing cutting of trees.
Working on Fuelling Country’s Green Energy Quest The Business of Indian Oil widely depends on crude imports through VLCC and other tankers which are unloaded through single buoy mooring (SBM) systems
Melting pits with skimming pumps, sophisticated hydrocyclones, centrifuges etc. are employed for de-oiling the sludge. Bioremediation in confined bioreactor is the latest innovation in bio-remediation of residual oily sludge developed in-house. The spent catalysts and other wastes are sent to approve recyclers for gainful use in their manufacturing processes like FCCU catalyst in cement kilns. This apart, accidental oil spills, whether on land or water have the potential to cause serious problems for coastal and marine wildlife, especially corals, fishes, birds, mammals and reptiles. The Business of Indian Oil widely depends on crude imports through VLCC and other tankers which are unloaded through single buoy mooring (SBM) systems. Thus concern for marine life ensures that IndianOil has a well-structured system in place to plug / handle all possible sources of oil leaks including oil tanker spills, nontanker ship spills, pipelines from SBM to onshore tanks and tank farms or may be cross country crude oil and product pipelines. It’s Tiered Preparedness and Response enables a structured approach to both establishing oil spill preparedness and undertaking a response. It helps categorise potential oil spill incidents in terms of their potential severity and the capabilities that need to be in place to respond. Considering the regulatory framework under which this offshore marine oil spill is managed, other than the Environment Protection Act-1986 which is the basic act for all environmental
activities in India, the most important and direct help comes from the National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan briefly known as NOS-DCP.
Management of e-Wastes So far as the E-Waste Rules, 2011 is concerned, the IndianOil ensures that e-waste is disposed by way of buyback against new procurements or through government approved trading agency M/s Metal Scrap Trade Corporation (MSTC).
Controlling Sound Pollutions The most highlighted sources of noise pollutions may be recorded as: engines, compressor house, turbine hall, furnace etc. And hence, significant measures to control sound pollutions may be summed up as: Proper maintenance of machines, Using low noise machines, Properly designed enclosure for both source and receiver, Use of sound absorbing material
This PSU has ambitions plans to broaden its energy basket with alternative energy options; the Corporation envisages setting up 260 MW of renewable energy (wind and solar) over the next five years. It has has so far converted about 6,600 of its fuel stations to operate on solar energy as a major initiative to reduce carbon emissions. Their cumulative capacity is about 26 MW. About 560 rain-water harvesting systems have been installed at various refineries, terminals, depots and housing complexes of IndianOil. With a total catchment area of 950 hectares, about 3 billion litres of water is being harvested annually. Our country is committed to cut carbon emissions by 33-35 per cent by 2030 and has set an ambitious target of 175 GW of renewable energy-based capacity by 2022. In support of this, Indian Oil is working to raise its grid- connected renewable energy capacity from 188 MW (wind-168 MW, solar-20 MW) currently to 260 MW by the year 2020.
Mechanism Adopted to Clean Development The climatic changes, global warming or other such issues arising out of human activities has now turned to be the most significant concern all over the world. Meeting this challenge requires new ways to assess the scale of economic activity and its impact on environmental systems. Carbon foot printing of all our refineries has been done. And hence, being a responsible corporate citizen, Indian Oil is aware of its responsibility towards not only mitigating environmental pollution due to its operations but also the role it can play in improving the environment by making products that cause least pollution.

Besides, founder and chairman of HCL Technologies, Shiv Nadar, Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group and Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Group ranked second, third, fourth and fifth respectively in the same list. Born and brought up in Mumbai of city of India, this multitalented Indian business entrepreneur has served Wipro Limited as Chairman and has been guiding the company for almost 40 years. His incessant efforts and diversified knowledge finally brought him in the list of global leader in the software industry. Azim Premji, who is also known with his full name as Azim Hasham Premji, was born on July 24, 1945 and during the early 21st century; he became one of the wealthiest people of the world. Going back to his childhood, Premji’s his father had founded Western Indian Vegetable Products Ltd in the same year he was born and produced vanaspati, a widely used hydrogenated shortening. But few years later when the colonial India was partitioned into Hindu India and Muslim Pakistan, Premji’s family who belonged
to a Muslim clan, chose to remain in India. Premji’s father, Mohamed Hashim Premji, died just before he could complete his Engineering Degree from Stanford University In the year 1966. However, Premji postponed his degree and returned to India to look after family business. Consequently, he began diversifying his business started delving into consumer products like: soap, shoes, and light bulbs, as well as hydraulic cylinders. In 1977, Premji renamed the company Wipro. Soon after the government of India asked IBM to quit the country, Premji took advantage of the situation and spread his business toward the business of computer. Among various other achievements of the company, Wipro has also been in news for its successful international partnerships in the 1980s to help it build computer hardware for sale in India. And, hence, this Indian business man built a reputation for hiring the best people and providing them with unparalleled training. This way Prem ji took full benefits of the country’s large pool of well-educated software developers who were willing to work for much less money than their American counterparts. The company completely focused on developing custom software for export, primarily to the United States. Wipro’s value skyrocketed during the

years 1990s and the company substantially increased in technology stocks. It was in 1999, when Premji officially completed his degree from Stanford University through a distance-learning arrangement. As such, in the 21st century, Premji became one of the richest entrepreneurs in the world. His reputation always remained that of a highly ethical entrepreneur whose operation served as a model for other Indian firms. However, the success of the company as well as its Chairman, was all about the way the company had spread its wing across the world and enticed the world market. By transforming Wipro into Information Technology powerhouse and establishing itself in the foreign markets Premji had boldly broken with tradition. It all happened only when majorities of Indian business tycoons were based on ownership of land and factories used to produce domestically consumed goods. In spite of being one of the wealthiest men in the world, Premji was always maintained normalcy like a common man, though he was well recognized for his human relations approach, lack of extravagance and charity in thought. This Indian businessman in the year 2001 established the nonprofit organization, Azim Premji Foundation. Through, this foundation he focused on improving the quality of elementary education in rural pockets on India. The foundation had however extended computer-aided education to more than 16,000 schools, with child-friendly content increasingly available in local languages by the end of the first decade of the 21st century.

His sudden incursion into retail, 4G wireless broadband and media clearly turned to be a good sign for the growth and development of Reliance Company. In addition the company entered into the highly competitive telecom sector again with the 4G broadband venture of Reliance. On the other hands, owning Network 18, created a lot of commotion in the country. Farce criticisms spread against Mukesh Ambani. Entering to the world of cricket by bringing Mumbai cricket team in the name of IPL in 2008 when he a bought an another wave of development in his life. Noticeably, Reliance had never been technologically troublesome organization, but with the adoption of modern technologies, the company was able to build a robust supply chain and achieved significant economic growth. As Ambani’s father, Dhirubhai Ambani, struggled hard to get rid of all odds in establishing Reliance, especially because of anti-privatization wave, he faced multiple challenges during the pre-liberalization. But Ultimately, Mukesh Ambani made his creative and incessant efforts to win the situation and finally remained to the country’s largest entrepreneur.

o far as trade shares of private companies are concerned, the rolling lucks of an age bracket of renowned start-ups like: Robinhood and Chime has now flashed a race to create the biggest marketplace. Basically supported by renowned technology giant like- Peter Thiel and Tim Draper, a US Based startup Forge, has recently appeared to be leading. The Forge CEO, Kelly Rodriques said, “This startup is considered as the largest of all the fresh venues that have made their productions in recent periods to facilitate trading in private companies, including rivals like: JPMorgan Chase-backed Zanbato and EquityZen”. This company has gone from handling about USD700 million in trades in 2018 to match that volume on a quarterly basis this year. The Forge CEO said that they were absolutely the biggest by the number of trades, the volume of trades on larger numbers of companies, by revenue, and just the pure liquidity that they had offered. “We have been consulting a billion dollars a quarter of volume, and we’ll start doing that kind of volume on a monthly basis in the two-three quarters”, he added. While, the requirements for the employees and investors to sell their private shares have increased soon after some of the start-ups postponed spreading their wings in public for over a decade or two, the trading shares of private companies has traditionally been difficult. This is coinciding with the growing demand from the various investors, especially the institutional one, for stock in pre-IPO companies. PitchBook Data revealed that the Venture-backed firms were worth more than USD2 trillion in the year 2020. It all took the Forge and similar other players towards utmost growth and development. As cited by Rodriques, growth has attracted the investors betting that a few players will eventually dominate the nascent market. Recently, Forge increased USD150 million from investors, including Wells Fargo and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Temasek, CNBC learned. The company is now worth approximately USD700 million after the recent collections of fund, triple its 2018 valuation. On the other hands, the company has also drawn the attention of the renowned investment banks of the world. In the year 2020, the JPMorgan had attracted Andrew Tuthill from Forge to lead the new private stock trading business of the bank. Besides, Goldman Sachs had recently poached a business development head from Forge named Jack Fowler for its own efforts. Just like many of the fast-growing
Rodriques said that they had spectacular growth, 30 per cent beyond even his big projections during the last three quarters. This is a business that is going to be a unicorn in the year 2021. It will give our valuation trajectory and several hundred million dollars of revenue visibility over the next two – three years. Portions of the growth reflect from obtaining a rival platform. Forge acquired another San Francisco-based platform for trading private stock called - SharesPost in 2020 in a USD160 million cash and stock deal. As per Forge, the joint entities have handled over USD9 billion in trades for about 400 private companies. Presently the Forge that has recently received approval to operate as a single broker-dealer with its acquired firm has almost 300,000 investors on its platform. Over 80 per cent of those users are highnet worth individuals, while 20 per cent are venture capital firms, hedge funds, family offices and trading desks at banks. Rodriques believes that this is going to be a race that can fetch more liquidity than anybody else in the world. In case any trader wishes to sell or purchase a private stock or if he or she does not check on Forge, there must be a high likelihood that is either going to sell too low or buy so high that one can feel is very improper.

INDIAN STARTUPS & THEIR ECOSYSTEM WITNESS QUICK MODIFICATION
O
ver the past one decade, the ecosystem of Indian startups & corporate activities has seen quick modification. However, at this stage what seems to be a big challenge for the firms based on technology are: job creations and other such issues. Indian institutions often creates over 1.5 million engineers every year, but out of then all only 5 per cent can pursue basic programming and coding. Majorities of them appears with a large scale skill gapes and are not able to find perfect employment for them. Almost 90 per cent of engineers that are in the market are not at all complete enough to pursue jobs. Lack of availability skilful candidates with basic knowledge has always appeared as a panic for tech-bound startups. It often raises several questions on the education system and urges quick reform in the entire system. The basic fault is that the incumbent system of examination basically concentrates on examination not on skill development. As such most required corrections in the syllabus should be the main focus of the government, candidates, teaching staffs and the institutions to generate more skillful and technically sound candidates. The two entrepreneurs are now establishing school that will enrich the students with skill and let them learn about coding. In the way of Silicon Valley-based Lambda School, Masai is a military-style coding school that provides a 24-week rigorous completestack web development program – it includes front-end, back-end & database engineering courses. Significant program comprises 1,000 hours of hands-on coding, 100 hours of soft skills training- communication and presentation skills and 100 hours on building mathematical skills and all concentrated on creating a job-ready labor force. The significant part of the syllabus is that it does not need an engineering degree as basic criteria. It also does not asks the candidates to pay truthful fees for the course. Presently, Bengaluru-based coding school charges about 15 per cent with a maximum cap of INR 3 lakh. The coding school has announced its second centre in Patna, apart from Bengaluru. The invention of Prateek Shukla, Nrupul Dev and Yogesh Bhatt, Masai had sown the seeds capital from India Quotient and some angel investors. Lambda School is one of the most successful bodies which generally train coders. The firm has been piloting in India with a plan to have full-fledged launch in near future with a huge presence in the US, UK and Europe. When speak to tech-enabled startups in India, reaching out to above average coders and programmers is limited. And hence, setting up a high-quality product from India or for it is not at all so easy. Startups that end up raising significant scheme capital money often manage to get quality programmers or the coders. Over 90 per cent of startups, which do not have a depth pocket and swanky workspaces to lure the high quality tech resources, have to integrate or strive. Masai and Lambda could be answers to such ventures, in case they are able to scale up. The quality of coders from Masai can only be assessed when the first cohort would get to work on the ground.

THE SAFFRON, A PARADIGM OF ‘SELF RELIANT INDIA’
W
ith the saffron Party (BJP) completing its 41 years of its magnificent journey, the enthusiasm of the saffron leaders to serve the motherland goes further strengthened. No doubt, the party leaders have received unparalleled love and blessings from majorities of people across the country. The growing trust of the citizens in the BJP can be witnessed its continuous organizational expansion making it the largest political party of the world. The BJP is a political party that believes in the philosophy of ‘Integral Humanism’. In another word, it has turned to be a phenomenon in itself. The Mantra of ‘Sabka Saath- Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’, has turned to be the guiding principle for the Party. The Bharatiya Janata Party has not only become a symbol of good governance and development across the country, instead it has also emerged as a political party committed to democracy. Practically, the BJP fought for the restoration of democratic rights during emergency and there is no doubt that this is the only political party in the country that has a flourishing internal democracy while the other political parties have become victims of dynastic and caste based politics. Indeed, the saffron party represents the aspirations of an ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’. During the Assembly Polls that took place in five states recently, the BJP has emerged as the hope for the people. On the other hands, the polling in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala have been completed almost one and a half month ago, the polling processes in the West Bengal were completed by the first week of May 2021. This is most inspiring to see that people have been coming out in large numbers and exercising their voting rights to elect government in their states. The percentage of polling was witnessed ranging from 65 per cent to even more than 80 per cent in these elections which points towards the immense success of Indian democracy. Moreover, the successful conduct of polling even in West Bengal may be termed as another achievement for the party that our democratic polity can witness the moment of proud. So far as the Election Commission is concerned, it has played an extremely vigilant role in conducting peaceful and fair polls in the West Bengal. throughout the electoral process with massive gatherings in the BJP rallies and public meetings. Like a hard work, various new schemes and futuristic policies of the National Democratic Alliance Government in Assam has resulted in peace, development and progress of the state, people are set to bless the BJP-NDA government again. A huge wave against the incumbent CM, Mamata Bannerjee, and the TMC misrule, corruption, cut-money, tolabaji, dynastic politics and regressive policies were evident on the ground during the recently concluded assembly elections in West Bengal. The saffron party has received massive blessings as a part of votes from the people. The voters, collectively, showed that the state
would have the BJP government, when the votes were counted. People in Tamil Nadu were witnessed appreciating special efforts by the centre for the development of the state and the way state government has delivered on its promises. The result is that the National Democratic Alliance Government seems certain in the state. There is a huge public resentment against the misrule and corruption of the earlier Congress government and people have reported to have voted for the NDA Government in Puducherry,. In Kerala, the saffron was set to emerge as a formidable force in the state. Speaking to the office bearers of the BJP and the Party activists through video conference on BJP Foundation Day, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has rightly said that the BJP represents transparency and good governance, keeps the idea of ‘Nation First’ and national security foremost and never compromises with national interests while implementing right policies with right intention and takes right decisions for the people. The BJP National President, Jagat Prakash Nadda, while addressing the karyakartas on the occasion, praised the services rendered by BJP karyakartas during the Covid-19 pandemic. The BJP has emerged as a unique political party on the basis of the continuous hard work of its committed karyakartas making the nation proud through its dedication to the goals of national reconstruction. As the saffron activists remained committed in the services of the motherland, a proud nation is destined to serve the humanity across the world.

CORNER OF NCR WHERE SAGA OF UNIFORM BEGINS By Sidharth Mishra
Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava actually cut a sorry figure stating that these volunteers should not be allowed to use the Delhi Police barricades to stop the vehicles
T
here is a small market known as ‘Edward Lines’ in the Kingsway Camp area of North Delhi. This market essentially served in the older times the Delhi Police Lines which exists next to it, rather the market is on the periphery of the huge Police Line Campus. Over the past few years, it has seen some change but a set of shops have remained rooted in good old times. These are four or five shops of tailors and drapers, who specialize in stitching khaki uniforms worn by the Delhi Police personnel. They have varieties of Khaki fabric to suit every pocket from a constable to the Indian Police Service (IPS) officials. For the past few months these shops are witnessing a boom in their business, as the Arvind Kejriwal Government has let loose on the streets of Delhi khaki wearing civil defense volunteers, whose uniform differs with that of Delhi Police only in the color of the beret, which is similar to worn by the Indian Army commandos. Delhi Government’s justification in deploying them is ostensibly to prosecute those who are not following Covid measures. Now prosecution and persecution are similar sounding words. Whether, they have powers of prosecution or not, many may have doubts. There, however, is unanimity of them persecuting citizens belligerently acting beyond their brief. A recent image of a khaki wearing volunteer beating a student with his uniform belt remained one of the titles of very popular pulp fiction novel, ‘Vardiwala Gunda’ (a criminal in uniform). In addition to those manufacturing masks,
Delhi Government’s justification in deploying them is ostensibly to prosecute those who are not following Covid measures. Now prosecution and persecution are similar sounding words
sanitizers and other medical essentials, the pandemic has opened up the opportunity for these civil defense volunteers too, with claims of extortion piling up against them. They could be seen on the roads laying in wait for their preys, particularly those who appear less-groomed, who often take them to be police personnel. Many people have complained that these volunteers often assume the role of traffic police and stop even those who might be wearing a mask but not the helmet or who haven’t fastened their seat belt. The possibility of they acting as moral police (akin to Romeo Squads of neighboring Uttar Pradesh) too cannot be ruled out with Kejriwal promising a ‘Ram Rajya’ in the city.
To add to this whole drama of absurd, which the city could have avoided in the grim Covid times, is the helplessness of Delhi Police to control a new form of lawlessness on the city roads. These volunteers extort money by threatening people with a jail term in case they fail to pay the fine, with the real policemen standing by as mute spectators. Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava actually cut a sorry figure stating that these volunteers should not be allowed to use the Delhi Police barricades to stop the vehicles. He has asked his district police chiefs to ensure that people do not confuse civil defense volunteers with police personnel and a clear distinction can be made between them. How would that happen, Mr Commissioner? Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who started of his career as head of the government by sitting on a historic dharna at the Rail Bhawan to protest against the police atrocities, has now come a long way in initiating to make Delhi a ‘police state’. What’s audacious about the move is the fact that the Delhi Police, the legal arm of prosecution, is with the central government as are the subject of law and order. Civil defense volunteers may have a role in assisting administration in times of natural or man-made calamities but certainly a role of a law-maintaining authority has not been authorized for them under any rule book. Why is the Centre and the Lieutenant Governor looking the other way? Only they can explain. (Source: Capitalkhabar)

A LIFE AMID THE ‘DAWN OF DEATHS’ By Sidharth Mishra
N
umbers of people dying in the pandemic, just remains to be a figure till one does not lose a known face, a dear acquaintance or a close relative. There would not be many left in the city of Delhi and its prosperous suburbs to whom death in pandemic would have by now remained just figures; it has become part of painful personal emotions in the majority of the families. Thus government flaunting figures become inconsequential, as almost everyone is in pain of a grievous loss. True speaking, myriads of people have died and many others are still in queues. The NCT of Delhi for many has been like a lifeline. It gave succor to everyone in need, be it for education, for a job, for a shelter or be it treatment for an ailment. Today Delhi is gasping for breath. Delhi is important because it’s the microsom which represent the nation, and it too is not any less breathless. The way people in the city are haplessly falling victim to a failed medical system, the death in the numbers is only comparable to when Nadir Shah raided Delhi and let his soldier loot, rape and kill its citizens. The current narratives going around in the city are not just about people dying because oxygen was not available but their struggle to survive and make every attempt to live despite death staring in their face. The struggle to get life-saving drugs, which the government announces to have lowered the price, is being sold in the black market, last heard at 45 times higher the printed cost. The government is selling the narratives of oxygen being transported on express trains, being air lifted but on ground the story is that people are dying like stacks of hay burning, waiting for the oxygen to come through the pipelines. History has it that when Nadir Shah’s army went on the rampage, then ruler of Delhi, Mohammed Shah Rangila kept up a brave face claiming
Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava actually cut a sorry figure stating that these volunteers should not be allowed to use the Delhi Police barricades to stop the vehicles
that he was doing every bit to defend his people. Despite Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal pulling out all the weapons in his armour, including an emotive act in a meeting with the prime minister, to claim that he was doing his best for Delhi, the fact remains that what’s happening in Delhi is no less than the carnage its citizens faced at the hands of Nadir Shah’s soldiers. The misery of the families of the Covid-infected doesn’t end with the death of the patient. If running from pillar-to-post for getting the drugs and oxygen at premium to save breath was not enough, the road to ‘moksha’ too
is coming at a very high cost. Why only blame those selling Remdesivir injections and oxygen cylinders at a premium, those operating the hearse vans to priestschating mantra at crematorium have taken to the ways of hyenas and vultures, preying on the flesh of the dead. Delhi today is a deserted city but for the sound of ambulances zipping surround with blaring sirens and the traffic jams in front of the crematoriums and the burial grounds. While the long queues at the liquor vends often made stories in happier times, as of now the waiting at the ‘moksha dwars’ are emotionally pulverizing. The fear of opening social media pages, lest the news of the death of someone known would pop-up, has left us the citizens in the state of schizophrenia. In such state of misery, succour comes not from pontificating leaders but from the legendary morale of brave citizens who for centuries have withstood the wave of raiders and epidemics helping out each other, holding hands and fighting their own battles for survival. It’s not just the argumentative Indian but a inherently good Indian which is keeping this nation alive, though there would be worthless many to take the credit for it. MAJORITIES BATTLE WITH DEADLY VIRUS, NOT THE GOVERNMENT By Mihir Sharma

n case any individual finds himself or herself healthy and safe in the Coronavirus stricken NCR, life may feel strange or disconnected. In fact, there is an undecided lockdown. The entire NCR seems have turned into a silent zone except for the chirping sounds of varieties of birds. On the other hands, the social media has become an unfolding tapestry of tragedy. Most of the people beg for help finding hospital beds and life-saving medicines. Our friends and acquaintances, often call and text us asking if we could arrange oxygen concentrator for the home. Besides a large chunk are now battling the deadly coronavirus. In the face of an extraordinary situation, the country and the authorities appears more interested in point-scoring and blame-games instead of assisting the needy persons. Whether they are Ministers, officials or even government counsels persisting that there is no dearth of hospitals or oxygen across the region, despite one can see all these transparently. Although the situation is worsening day by day and the country’s biggest state, UP, is bitter example. Here we may be confused over the existence of the humanitarian disaster for months. Some deaths are being recorded and the state's administration has warned those spreading online ‘rumors’- including the family members gasping for oxygen. And then, they may be prosecuted under draconian national-security laws. Possibly, majorities of us must not be amazed. May be we should not have expected this much of the notoriously fragile Indian state. There is no avoidance, the basic confusion of the 21st

century India is that it is one of the largest economies, ambitious and inspirational states of the world. Still, this is termed as a poor country, with a per capita income one-fifth of the republic of China. India’s capabilities are truly known the billion-plus people. Indian Government has resolved to spend on health in particular has always been shockingly low. In the various rural pockets of UP, actual needs of the hundreds of thousands of citizens may be filled by just five health centers. Interestingly, none of them are qualified doctor. Besides, the citizens need more than the basics. In Delhi, the local government often talks up its expenditure on primary health centers, which are indeed vital. But that has not made up for the lack of tertiary care, which is what most Covid-19 patients need. Over the years, many Indians believed the private sector could make up for the shortcoming of the government. Indians mostly pay in advance and in cash when a
calamity hits and hospitalization is needed. We run down our savings, or we look to personal networks for help. This is why the Indians have turned in this crisis as well to friends, family and social media. However, the pandemic is a reminder of why even a dynamic private sector needs a state that can support its efforts. That is true in the best of times. Instead, authorities can't supply enough oxygen or even tell us which hospital has the fewest ambulances lined up outside its gates. Lack of fund and understaffed governments like the government of India simply have no spare capacity to serve their citizens when disaster strikes. You cannot hope for the private sector to do so. Only the state can afford to carry this vital excess capacity or build it up at short notice. It does not have to be this way. The southern states of India like: Kerala and Tamil Nadu, have been better run than their northern counterparts for decades. Recently, they have set up elaborate systems of online triage to sort out Covid-19 cases and minimize the burden on hospitals. Even the financial capital Mumbai, epicenter of the latest variant, has established war rooms in each municipal ward, manned by publicschool teachers, to triage patients and tell them where to go and what to do. While it took too long to increase the number of hospital beds, at least the local government is allotting those beds to the neediest. Possibly, the citizens of Mumbai may be feeling less abandoned. In Delhi, whether majorities of people live and or die, still largely depends on who's in your phone book. These kinds of unfair to all of us are mostly witnessed from historically excluded religions, castes and classes.

Safety Measures Nations around the world are now rolling out deadly coronavirus vaccines and as such the safety of the vaccine is one of the highest priorities of the World Health Organization (WHO). The Organization is now chalking out fresh plan in close association with the national authorities to develop and implement standards to ensure these vaccines could be safe and effective. Myriads of people have safely received the vaccines. All of the approved vaccines have been carefully tested and continued to be monitored. Just like other vaccines, these vaccines go through a rigorous, multi-stage testing process, including large clinical trials that involve tens of thousands of people. These trials are specifically designed to identify any safety concerns. An extensive meeting convened by the WHO authorities has recommends whether and how the vaccines should be used. The authorities in individual countries usually decide whether to approve the vaccines for national use and develop policies for how to use the vaccines based on WHO recommendations.
Latest Vaccine Technology Sections of these vaccines have been developed with an approach that uses messenger RNA (mRNA). This technology has been studied for over a decade, including in the development of vaccines for Zika, rabies and influenza. These have been rigorously assessed for safety and clinical trials have shown that they provide a long-lasting immune response. mRNA vaccines are not live virus vaccines and do not interfere with human DNA. Those who should consult with a doctor before vaccination include people with a compromised immune system, older people with severe frailty, people with a history of severe allergic reaction to vaccines, people living with HIV, and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. On the other hands, pregnancy brings a higher risk of severe COVID-19, at present very little data is available to assess vaccine safety in pregnancy. people at high risk of exposure to the Coronavirus
(such as health workers), or who have a history of underlying medical conditions that increase their risk of severe disease, may be vaccinated during pregnancy after consultation with their health care provider. It can be offered to those who are breastfeeding if they are part of a group recommended for vaccination. The vaccine trials for children are currently under way, and when results become available, WHO will provide updated guidance for vaccination in children.

Vaccines are an important tool in the battling against the Coronavirus and getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from this deadly virus to recognize the targeted virus and create antibodies to fight off the disease without getting the disease itself. After vaccination, the body is ready to fight the virus if it is later exposed to it, thereby preventing illness. Majorities of people that were infected with SARS-CoV-2, develop an immune response within the first few weeks but we are still learning how strong and lasting that immune response is and how it varies between different people. Those already infected with this virus should still get vaccinated or follow the doctor’s advice. Just like any vaccine, COVID-19 vaccines can cause mild-to-moderate side effects, such as a low-grade fever or pain or redness at the injection site. Generally two doses of these vaccines are required. It is important to get the second dose if the vaccine requires two doses. For vaccines that require two doses, the first dose presents antigens – proteins that stimulate the production of antibodies – to the immune system for the first time. Scientists call this priming the immune response. The second dose acts as a booster, ensuring the immune system develops a memory response to fight off the virus if it
encounters it again. Due to the urgent need for vaccine, initial clinical trials of vaccine candidates were performed with the shortest possible duration between doses. Therefore an interval of 21–28 days (3–4 weeks) between doses is recommended by WHO. Depending on the vaccine, the interval may be extended for up to 42 days – or even up to 12 weeks for some vaccines – on the basis of current evidence. The clinical trials have shown COVID-19 vaccines to be safe and highly effective at preventing severe disease. As the vaccine rollout expands, WHO will continue to monitor the data alongside regulatory authorities. The safe and effective vaccines are making a significant contribution to preventing severe disease and death from COVID-19. As vaccines are rolling out and immunity is building, it is important to continue to follow all of the recommended measures that reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
Side Effects The Coronavirus vaccines are safe and getting vaccinated will help protect you against developing severe COVID-19 disease and dying from COVID-19. One may experience some mild side effects
after getting vaccinated, which are signs that your body is building protection. These aaccines are designed to give you immunity without the dangers of getting the disease. It is common to experience some mildto-moderate side effects when receiving vaccinations. This is because your immune system is instructing your body to react in certain ways: it increases blood flow so more immune cells can circulate, and it raises your body temperature in order to kill the virus. Mild-to-moderate side effects, like a low-grade fever or muscle aches, are normal and not a cause for alarm: they are signs that the body’s immune system is responding to the vaccine, specifically the antigen (a substance that triggers an immune response), and is gearing up to fight the virus. These side effects usually go away their own after a few days. Common and mild or moderate side effects are a good thing: they show us that the vaccine is working. Experiencing no side effects doesn’t mean the vaccine is ineffective. It means everybody responds differently. Like other vaccines, these vaccines can cause side effects, most of which are mild or moderate and go away within a few days on their own. As shown in the results of clinical trials, more serious or long-lasting side effects are possible. Vaccines are continually monitored to detect adverse events. Known side effects have mostly been mild to moderate and have lasted no longer than a few days. Typical side effects include pain at the injection site, fever, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, chills and diarrhoea. After getting the vaccine, one should be requested to stay for 15–30 minutes at the vaccination site so health workers are available in case of any immediate reactions. Individuals should alert their local health providers following vaccination if they experience any unexpected side effects or other health events – such as side effects lasting more than three days. Less common side effects reported for some COVID-19 vaccines have included severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis; however, this reaction is extremely rare. The side effects usually occur within the first few days of getting a vaccine. Since the first mass vaccination program started in early December 2020, hundreds of millions of vaccine doses have been administered. Few cases about vaccines making people sick have come into light. But none of the approved vaccines contain the live virus that causes COVID-19, which means that COVID-19 vaccines cannot make you sick with COVID-19. After vaccination, it usually takes a few weeks for the body to build

Impacts of Virus Variants the Vaccines As a virus replicates or makes copies of itself, it sometimes changes a little bit, which is normal for a virus. These changes are called ‘mutations’. A virus with one or more new mutations is referred to as a “variant” of the original virus. The reason that causes a virus to change to a new variant is widely circulating in a population and causing many infections, the likelihood of the virus mutating increases. The more opportunities a virus has to spread, the more it replicates – and the more opportunities it has to undergo changes. Most viral mutations have little to no impact on the virus’s ability to cause infections and disease. But depending on where the changes are located in the virus’s genetic material, they may affect a virus’s properties, such as transmission. These vaccines are currently in development or have been approved are expected to provide at least some protection against new virus variants because these vaccines elicit a broad immune response involving a range of antibodies and cells. Therefore, changes or mutations in the virus should not make vaccines completely ineffective. Information continues to be collected and analyzed on new variants of the virus. The WHO is working with researchers, health officials and scientists to understand how these variants affect the virus’s behavior, including their impact on the effectiveness of vaccines, if any. In addition, manufacturers and the program using the vaccines may have to adjust to the evolution of the COVID-19 virus: for example, vaccines may need to incorporate more than one strain when in development, booster shots may be required, and other vaccine changes may be needed. Trials must also be designed and maintained to allow any changes in efficacy to be assessed, and must be of sufficient scale and diversity to enable clear interpretation of results. The WHO has been tracking mutations and variants since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak. Our global SARS-CoV-2 laboratory network includes a dedicated Virus Evolution Working Group, which aims to detect new changes quickly and assess their possible impact. Experts have carried out genomic sequencing of the COVID-19 virus and shared these sequences on public databases, including GISAID. The WHO has also established a SARS-CoV-2 Risk Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to identify, monitor and assess variants

of concern. It will involve components like surveillance, research on variants of concern, and evaluation of the impact on diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines. Incumbent measures to reduce transmission – including frequent hand washing, wearing a mask, physical distancing, good ventilation and avoiding crowded places or closed settings – continue to work against new variants by reducing the amount of viral transmission and therefore also reducing opportunities for the virus to mutate.
Preparedness for Vaccines Most of the nations have now started to deploy vaccines, bring new hope to the fight against the global pandemic. the WHO, UNICEF, Gavi and many other partners are working together to support countries in preparing for COVID-19 vaccine introduction. These organizations have provided a vaccine introduction toolbox that has all the resources a country needs to get ready for delivering these vaccines. Altogether 92 low- and middle-
income economies will be able to access COVID-19 vaccines through the COVAX Facility Advance Market Commitment (AMC). The COVAX AMC is the innovative financing instrument that will support the participation of 92 low- and middleincome economies in the COVAX Facility – enabling access to donor-funded doses of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines. The AMC, combined with additional support for country readiness and delivery, will make sure the most vulnerable in all countries can be protected in the short term, regardless of income level. These AMC92 countries must develop a COVID-19 National Deployment and Vaccination Plans (NDVPs) which is reviewed by WHO, UNICEF and other partners to help the country be sure the plan is as good as it can be. NDVPs can be submitted through the Partners Platform. Once a country's NDVP is reviewed to ensure the key readiness criteria are met, they can be allocated

A National Deployment and Vaccination Plan is an operational plan to implement and monitor COVID-19 vaccination rollout in a country. The NDVP serves as the “one-country plan” and main framework for a country’s vaccine introduction and vaccination efforts. Regulatory preparedness: legal requirements for importing vaccines, regulatory authorization for using vaccines, and procedures to expedite vaccine availability, Planning and coordination: governance and management structure at both country and sub-national levels to oversee the deployment, implementation and monitoring of COVID-19 vaccines. Costing and funding: a realistic budget – including funding sources and budget gaps – for vaccine deployment and vaccination. Supply chain and health care waste
management: critical supply chain activities to prepare for vaccine deployment and to ensure safe handling of health care waste. Human resources management and training: staff requirements for the vaccine rollout and a plan for training and supervision: Vaccine acceptance and demand: Integrated approaches to achieve high uptake of COVID-19 vaccines, including strategic communication activities that promote vaccination, manage misinformation and convey risk in the event of any adverse effects. Vaccine safety: steps to prepare for, monitor and address vaccine safety and potential adverse events and ensure injection safety. Immunization monitoring: a strategy for collection and reporting of immunization data, disease surveillance to monitor vaccine impact, and evaluation of the overall implementation process. With the entire planet continues to witness the woes of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, different questions are now being raised regarding availabilities and allocation of the vaccines for the needy persons. It is being highlighted that whether these vaccines would be accessible to the common masses in days to come. Besides, the WHO begin to chalk out its plan for vaccination drives. For accessibility, the COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) Facility has been set up by the WHO in collaboration with the ACT-Accelerator vaccine partners. The efficient vaccines can seek several years to develop or more to reach out the needy persons. Plans are being chalked out on potential coronavirus vaccines follows the same processes as with other vaccines. This timeline may be accelerated by the COVAX Facility by enabling early investments in the growth of a variety of vaccine for candidates. Increasing productions of vaccine ahead of the licensing process for deploying the vaccine without delayed. The actual motive of the WHO is quick allocations of vaccine, protecting individuals, improving health systems and minimizing the impact on the economy. Meanwhile, the ACT-Accelerator was set up to contain the Coronavirus pandemic faster and more proficiently by ensuring high quality diagnostics, vaccines and treatments across the globe. The impartial allocation of the vaccine is important. In case the these vaccines are perfectly used one can escape from any acute consequences of the pandemic. However, the sources and resources have remained inadequate. Hence, the governments will have to prioritize immunization program for specific groups. In order to check severe spread of the

Utmost needy person or the definition of the priority groups must be based on extensive analysis of evidence, including differences across various geographical and social set ups. The various countries, especially those are members of the COVAX Facility must have access to adequate vaccines to fulfill the need of their priority group citizens. As such, selecting to set an initial prioritization for health workers, the WHO is willing to make sure that it can meet the need of majorities of health and social care workers. On the other hands, when most of the countries are allocated enough doses for 20 per cent of the population, the remaining doses should be made available with the availability of funds. As such, in the second phase, the places that have received extra doses of vaccine would be determined by an assessment of their risk at any given time. Every consideration will be based on an assessment of threat & vulnerability. The actual, analysis would find out the countries with the highest risk that will get vaccines with faster pace. Some doses of vaccine may be asked to be reserved as part of a ‘humanitarian buffer’. The governments as well as the states are encouraged to add all high-risk individuals and populations.

that are studied in the lab and laboratory animals, roughly 7 out of every 100 would be considered good enough to move into clinical trials in humans. With a lot of different vaccines in growing positions, the chances that there will be one or more successful vaccines will be shown to be safe and efficient. In fact, there are three main ways design a vaccine. The differences are found in whether they use a whole virus or bacterium. The first method to make a vaccine is to take the disease-carrying virus or bacterium or a very similar to it, and inactivate or kill it using. This approach uses technology that’s been proven to work in people – this is the way the flu and polio vaccines are made – and vaccines can be manufactured on a reasonable scale. It all needs special laboratory facilities to develop the virus or bacterium effectively. It could have comparatively long production time & will require two or three doses.

Many of these are still in different phases. Characteristically, various such vaccine candidates are being evaluated before any are being seen to be safe and effective. Most of the vaccines
These kinds of vaccines can be used safely to deliver specific sub-parts, In order to do this; the directives for making particular parts of the pathogen of interest are put in a safe virus. and this type can be developed rapidly. The sub-unit vaccine is only that which can be used as the very specific parts of a virus or bacterium that the immune system needs to identify. It does not comprise the entire microbe or use a safe virus as a vector. Some of these vaccines on the childhood schedule are subunit vaccines, protecting people from diseases such as whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria and meningococcal. Contrasting to the vaccine approaches which use either a poor or dead of the entire microbe or parts, a nucleic acid vaccine just uses a section of genetic material that offers the directions for particular proteins, not the entire microbe. The DNA and RNA are the instructions our cells use to make proteins. A nucleic acid vaccine delivers a particular set of directions to all cells, either as DNA or mRNA, for them to ensure the particular kind of protein. It may be termed as a new way of developing vaccines. Before the Coronavirus pandemic, no body went through the full approvals process for use in humans, though some DNA vaccines, including for particular cancers, were undergoing human trials. Due to the pandemic, research in this area has progressed very fast and some mRNA vaccines for COVID-19 are getting emergency use permission.

The Way Vaccines Are Developed The COVID-19 vaccines contain various small quantities of the disease-causing organism or other such ingredients. Besides, ingredients that can keep the vaccine safe and effective are also found. The vaccine constituent meets specific purpose and every element in the vaccine is tested during the manufacturing process. Antigen, an active component is found in the vaccine. This antigen generates an immune response for creating the active component. These antigens may be a small part of the diseasecausing organism including: protein or others. Additive checks the vaccine from contamination. Sections of vaccines do not have additive compounds as they are stored in one-dose vials & are stopped after administering the single dose. Apart from others, 2-phenoxyethanol is the most widely used preservative. This is being used for many years in various vaccines. Mostly the stabilizers check chemical reactions from causing within the vaccine and keep its components from gluing into the vaccine vial. Sugars, amino acids, gelatin and proteins are among others in which these stabilizers are often found. The experts use Surfactants to keep all the ingredients in the vaccine blended together, these Surfactants usually prevent settling and clumping of elements which are found in the liquid form of the vaccine. This apart, some residuals are also used during manufacturing of vaccines. It traces those substances that may be present in a vaccine in very small quantities. Sections of vaccines also contain adjuvants that often improve the immune response to the vaccine through various means. It may be a tiny amount of aluminium salts that has been shown not to cause any long-term health problems and humans.

Various kinds vaccines are in use for many years. Every vaccine should go through extensive & rigorous testing to ensure that it is safe prior introducing them in the vaccine program of any country. Most of the countries that are still in process to develop vaccine should initially undergo screenings and then evaluations to confirm about the kind of antigen should be used to raise an immune response. The initial phase is done without testing on humans. Vaccines in experimental processes are initially tested in animals to evaluate its safety & potential meant to prevent disease. When these vaccines trigger an immune response, it is then tested in human clinical trials in almost three phases. not keep us safe from another pathogen except when two pathogens are very similar to each other. When the human body produces antibodies in its primary response to an antigen, it also creates antibodyproducing memory cells. When the human body is exposed to the same pathogen more than once, the antibody response is much faster & more effective than the first time. It means that when a human being is exposed to the dangerous pathogen in the future, his immune system will be able to respond immediately and will protect him from the disease.
phase vaccines are tested in young, healthy adult volunteers. Second, it is given to several hundred volunteers to further assess its safety and ability to generate an immune response. There are normally multiple trials in this phase to evaluate various age groups and different formulations of the vaccine. Consequently, during the very third phase, the vaccine is administered to thousands of volunteers – and compared to a similar group of people who did not get the vaccine. Every time, phase three trials are conducted across multiple countries and multiple sites within a country to confirm the findings of the vaccine performance pertaining to different populations. Amid phase – 2 and 3 trials, the activists & the research experts pursuing these studies are shielded from knowing which volunteers had received the vaccine being tested. It may be termed as ‘blinding’ & is important to assure that neither the volunteers nor the research experts are influenced in their assessment of safety or effectiveness. Soon after, the trial ends and the entire results are finalized, the volunteers and the trial scientists are asked acknowledged. As soon as the results of all these clinical trials are made available, various steps are required, like: reviews of efficacy and safety. The authorities in each country closely watch the study data & decide whether to authorize the vaccine for use their country. The monitoring occurs in an active way after the introduction of the vaccine. It all enables the experts to keep record of vaccine impact and safety even as they are used in a large number of people, over a long period of time. These data are used to adjust the policies for vaccine.
Mode of Functioning As a person is vulnerable and he or she encounters a harmful organism, it can causes disease and in some cases death. Human bodies have various ways protect it’self from pathogens. Mucus, skin, and cilia, all work as physical barriers to prevent pathogens from entering the body in the first place. When a pathogen gets infected the body, it protects the defending walls of our body, these walls are called the immune system. Noticeably, a pathogen is a bacterium, virus, parasite or fungus, which may led to disease in our body.

The antibodies produced in response to the antigen of pathogen are an necessary part of the immune system. One can see antibodies as the soldiers in your body’s defense system. Human bodies have thousands of different antibodies in their bodies. As a human body is exposed to an antigen for the first time, it takes time for the immune system to respond and produce antibodies for particular antigen. When the antigen-specific antibodies are produced, these work with the rest of the immune system to destroy the pathogen and prevent the spread of disease. The antibodies to one pathogen generally do
Significantly, vaccines comprise weakened or inactive parts of a particular organism, which may trigger an immune response within the body. Comparatively, new vaccines comprise the blueprint for producing antigens rather than the antigen itself. Few vaccines need multiple doses, given weeks or months. Sometimes, it is required to allow for the production of long-lived antibodies and development of memory cells. As such, the human body is trained to prevent the specific diseasecausing organism.

After required clinical trials, when a vaccine reaches at the preapproval stage, the relevant regulatory body use to assess the facts to know the fulfillment with quality, safety and efficiency to be vaccinated with particular vaccines. But no doubt, these kinds of persons can also be protected. As a lot of persons in a community are vaccinated, the pathogen has a hard time circulating as most of the people it encounters are immune. And hence, when others are vaccinated, there are very less chances that those failed to get the vaccines are at risk of even being exposed to the injurious pathogens. It may be termed as herd immunity. It is significant for those could not be vaccinated but may be more vulnerable to the diseases. Even not a single vaccine offers 100 per cent safety and the herd immunity do not offers complete safety to those cannot be vaccinated safely. With herd immunity, sections of people will have considerable safety. It must be understood that vaccinating does not only protects one but also protects all those in the community and are not able to be vaccinated. Right from the beginning, human beings have truly invented vaccines for the various
life-threatening diseases like: meningitis, tetanus, measles and wild poliovirus. During the early 1900s, polio was a worldwide disease, paralysing hundreds of thousands of people every year. But during the 1950, two effective vaccines against the disease were introduced.
Safety & Quality Maintenance After required clinical trials, when a vaccine reaches at the pre-approval stage, the relevant regulatory body use to assess the facts to know the fulfillment with quality, safety and efficiency. Soon after the approval, the vaccine sent for manufacturing. The regulatory body also uses to submit a vaccine to the WHO for prequalification (PQ). Amid the global health emergencies, the EUL can be used to allow the use of the vaccine in crisis. It exists as products that could benefit the lives of people may be prevented from coming to market with sufficient speed. The WHO PQ/EUL recognitions can be
used by the United Nation organizations like: UNICEF and the Pan American Health Organization Revolving Fund for procurement. Characteristically, companies can work freely to fulfill the clinical growth plans for a vaccine. When a vaccine is approved, its manufacturing starts at large. The entire procedure from preclinical trial to manufacturing may take over a decade to complete process. During the search for a Coronavirus vaccine, the scientists and academicians worked for the various phases in parallel to find a quick result. As the vaccine made in bulk quantities, it was carefully packaged in glass vials for further storage and transportations. Noticeably, the vaccine packaging should be packed in such a ways that it can survive extreme temperatures and cover high risks during transportations. Majorities of vaccines need refrigerated storage between 2 to 8 °C. While, few of these need temperatures as cold as -20°C, others require to be kept ultra cold at -70°C. In order to maintain the cold chain, these vaccines are transported with the help of specialized devices which does not compromise the quality of the product. When shipments land in the specific location, refrigerated lorries use to transport them from the airport to the cold room of warehouse. When vaccinations take place beyond the defined facility, the last step almost needed portable iceboxes to transport the goods. Fresh technologies have invented sections of moveable equipments that may hold the vaccines at their cold temperature for several days. As the vaccines are administered, the authorities of particular country and the WHO intensively monitor the entire processes. The actual significance of the vaccine is its safety and efficacy.

f we see the present economic conditions of the masses across the world, it seems that it has now been comparatively tougher to buy home for any buyer. Now the productions of home for sale are now being witnessed at a record low capacity. The homebuilders are stepping up very slowly and prices are rising at the fastest pace over the past twenty years.
average of 19 days to sell a home during the fourweek period ended May 2, 2021, a real estate brokerage, Redfin, said. It means, the fastest since it started tracking that metric in 2012. It is down from an average of 35 days during the same period during the previous year. Almost 45 per cent of homes for sale went under contract in less than a week.
It’s not surprising sentiment among those willing to buy a home, fell to the lowest level in the last one decade history of Fannie Mae’s monthly. The percentage of respondents, who that said it was a good time to buy a home decreased from 53 per cent to 47 per cent, while the percentage, who said that it was a sad time to buy increased from 40 per cent to 48 per cent. Those are willing to survey would largely cite growing prices and tight supply as the chief reasons for their pessimism, Doug Duncan, the senior vice president and chief economist at Fannie Mae stated.
In another record, it has been suggested 48 per cent of homes sold for more than their list price, up 20 percentage points from the same period a year earlier. Home prices are up more than 11 per cent from a year ago, due to high competition that is resulting in bidding wars.
He said, “The downfall in home-buying sentiment is likely to show that some consumers, potentially flush with savings – perhaps boosted in part by stimulus payments – may be attempting, but failing, to buy a home due to heightened competition for relatively few listed homes”. Consumers having incomes between USD50,000 and USD100,000 were basically pessimistic. It is just because the lack of homes for sale is most acute on the lower end of the market, so affordable housing is increasingly difficult to find. The middle range household income in the U.S. was nearly USD69,000 in the year 2019. The data revealed that the competition for housing does not appear to be letting up at all. Low mortgage rates are no longer helping much, because they helped to fuel those high prices. The prices are also rising for new construction, as builder costs are increasing high. A chief economist at Redfin, Daryl Fairweather said, “At present we are seeing a substantial increase in home prices, which could be a precursor to more widespread inflation throughout the economy”. Lumber prices are rising and falling, which has driven up prices of new homes & indirectly drives up prices of existing homes. The transparent climatic conditions also highlights that as states lift their restrictions that were imposed due to Coronavirus, there could be price increases in other sectors, from food to gasoline. These could cut into the budget of the home buyers and might ease competition for housing. Further, she also added that a more balanced market could encourage more move-up homeowners to finally sell, because they won’t be so fearful about being able to find and compete for a home to buy.

he activists of the Tenant convened a demonstration to protest that they had claimed to be an insufficient legislative relief for renters during the much widespread coronavirus pandemic. It all had happened on February 28, 2021 in the East Village neighborhood of New York City. The Housing experts say, a judge’s turnover of the federal deportation moratorium on May 5, 2021 puts tenants at risk just as rental assistance is finally making its way to renters behind on housing payments. An alliance of landlords and property owners brought a suit that is one of many — against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It argued that the agency does not have the authority to issue a nationwide eviction ban. The United States District Judge, Dabney Friedrich, ruled in their favor, vacating the ban on May 5, 2021. The order was put on hold for few days after an appeal from the Justice Department, meaning the eviction moratorium is still in place. But it could be overturned again as soon as next week, says Caitlin Cedfeldt, who represents tenants as a staff attorney for Legal Aid of Nebraska. Rental assistance is finally being spent. The potential for the ban is likely to be inverted is ill-timed as the federal rental relief money is finally making its way to renters. These were stated by the landlords, Diane Yentel, president and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Low Income Housing Coalition. Yentel added that the Biden administration should continue to vigorously defend and enforce the moratorium, at least until emergency rental assistance were provided by Congress reaches, the renters who need it to remain stably housed. The States have hundreds of billions of dollars in
rental assistance available from the federal relief bills that were signed into law in December 2020 and March 2021 respectively. The tenants behind on rent because of a Covid-related job loss or reduction in hours can apply for programs in their city or state (more details on the eligibility requirements can be found outlined here), or have their landlords apply for them. The relief will typically be paid directly to the landlord. The CDC order helps keep renters stably housed between the time they apply for the assistance and when actually receive it, says Legal Aid’s Cedfeldt. Evicting people now doesn’t make sense if landlords want to recoup some of their losses, she says. Cedfeldt said that it was very scary for the renters right then and especially scarried for people who were trying to get rental assistance till then. The actual procedure to get help typically took a while to complete. It also involved multiple bureaucratic hoops to jump through. In absence of the CDC order, renters can be evicted even though they were trying to catch up. In September 2020, the eviction ban were put in place by the CDC & recently increased by President, Joe Biden, through the end of June, was enacted to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 by keeping tenants who lost income stably housed through the pandemic. As per the most recent Census Household Pulse survey, over 26 per cent of adult Americans said that they had missed last rent of last month or mortgage payment or have little confidence that they will make next month’s rent or mortgage on time. Sections of small scale realtors have probably sold their properties to get back losses caused amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

And hence it must be explained the wider red flags beyond oxygen as an individual gets alert that the present moment is the time to call medical officer to seek right advice or time. One must recall it that the required care at home must be pursued under the experts’ supervision. It means that when one decides to take one’s treatment at home or you decide to be hospitalized really should be pursued under the administration of a health care specialist, as per the national protocols for COVID-19 guideline. In order to measure Oxygen level and pulse, one must use Pulse oximeter at home. It is a simple device. It is comparatively less expensive and simple to use.
taken as a positive sign. As one knows there are a few affected persons – mostly those having risk factors for severe disease – those affected persons are at risk for developing severe disease. And hence, these patients, in case he or she is being monitored at home. This kind of patient required strong care. In case of SARS-CoV-2, as we know is a deadly virus, there is one foremost thing that one should never forget. When one has COVID-19, he must not recommend the use of antibiotics. It means the medicines that treat bacterial infections, because it has a virus infection and hence it will not respond to an antibiotic. Further, it was elaborated that looking after an increased demand of medicines like Remdesivir, apart from growing appeals for plasma therapy in the treatment of COVID patient. One should tell all such individual as he or she finds through the evidence and the effectiveness of both Remdesivir and plasma therapy in question. At this stage, we have a recommendation against the use of Remdesivir for the affected individuals with COVID-19 as there was low certainty in the evidence that it had any advantage in mortality. For recuperative plasma, one must not actually have a suggestion in that guidelines importantly yet, but what they do have in the instruction by the clinical organization is also against its use, unless under clinical trials as confirmation is collecting on those interventions. As such, they
One must have an advice saying that if he is at home and particularly when he is from a high risk group – so he is a person that may have the risk of grow serious disease – that monitoring his pulse ox, oxygen saturation at home could be useful as he can detect, hopefully early, if his oxygen saturation begins to go down and then get the right intervention and care pathway begins. As such, 94 to 90 is a little bit low. Moreover, this is not below 90 per cent that is often termed as an alarming situation. As such when one’s measurement is 90 to 94, he or she must have to make sure that he or she calls her clinical provider and he must tell them about the facts. As one gets some advice on what to do further, the caution symptoms must consider when one is at home. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing must be taken seriously. It can simply mean that having pneumonia and the pneumonia is progressing.
As such, they also do not advocate its use other than under clinical trials which are continuing and ongoing. The conversation further suggests, they should talk about oxygen now and the way to monitor oxygen at home
Another one is chest pain. It all can mean that one’s pneumonia is there and it is increasing. Another one is change in mental status. Sometimes that can be like confusion, like one’s thought process is not clear or that he is dizzy or that you're sleepier than usual. So far an acute case of COVID-19, especially when one does not know whether the pneumonia is going to be mild, whether it is going to be more serious, in case he is going to progress to respiratory failure – that is the concern. As such, when oxygen is going to be used at home, it has to be done under a monitored setting, meaning that your clinician, under clinical supervision, that it is advised to all because oxygen is a medicine. These were the facts that Dr Janet Diaz explained about the protocol for caring for a COVID-19 patient at home. Further it is most advisable that “Stay safe, stay healthy and stick with science”.

e live during a time of feelings, with all its subtlety and profundity. We as a whole have a mind that helps get things going, or not. On the off chance that organizations contribute time, exertion, and assets in deciphering its signs, animating it, really focusing on it, and going with the balance that is required for it to develop further, its neuroplasticity turns into the way to development. It is because of this part it is so important to give significance, reason, understanding, and to make due in ecological conditions as changing and tempestuous as those that happen day by day. That is the reason the period of development is administered by the passionate brain. The universe of individuals is not, at this point zeroed in on the psychological and simply specialized. If organizations figure out how to channel singular commitments emphatically, they will have more freedom to change and reevaluate themselves.

assets, and the consideration of the whole universe. Notwithstanding, if the desire of every collaborator isn't lined up with the maker and creator soul, the way will be short and pitifully shy of projection. Dynamic at all levels of an organization does not depend just on the sensible boundaries that were prevailing until a couple of years prior. It is realized that more than 80 per cent of choices in organizations move around the enthusiastic universe of pioneers, their groups, and, in a course, all representatives. The shortfall of choices is in itself a corporate approach, since taking "no choice" is a decision, regardless of whether it doesn't seem like it. Accordingly, organizations that set aside an effort to change pass up important freedoms and will linger behind in the worldwide universe of which they are a section. There are associations in serious consideration, headed by individuals who accept they are pioneers, when they are, best case scenario, simple supervisors. Organizations are kicking the bucket, energetic for an outer saving hand. In any case, they have not yet become mindful that the solitary conceivable salvage comes from the inside.
BIZ TIPS
There are organizations everywhere in the world that are being bonded, as though that would tackle their issues. If the root illnesses that beset them are not treated, they will return in a brief timeframe. As mind-boggling as it might appear, the fundamental motor of progress and fuel for change that evades business passing is at the highest point of everything, in every individual from those organizations that have lost their spirit, their motivation, and their being. It's known as a mind and it weighs not exactly a kilo and a half.
How to implement emotional innovation? Emotional innovation requires the simultaneous approach of ten planes: body, mind, brain, spirit, beliefs, paradigms, resilience, environment, evolution, and purpose. Its correct articulation will result in transformation and transcendence, capable of going through any external challenge. Here we share some salient features of the emotional innovation model that are currently being implemented in many companies that put an emphasis on caring for human resources. 1. Allow yourself to reflect past having business objectives dependent on getting results. It is important to tune in, discourse, put discussions in the closer view, figure out how to differ with deference and cognizance. Stream, comprehend, and coordinate. 2. Train your mind, coordinate in creating spaces for reflection, take cognizant stops to recalculate everyday activities, and resume with more noteworthy energy. The cerebrum of practically all people is overstimulated. You need to bring down your recurrence if you need to settle on better choices. The more data to be handled, the more intricate the cycles are, and on the off chance that it doesn't bode well, since the mind works in saving assets when delivering results, it won't "give all its joint effort". 3. The Israeli analyst Daniel Kahneman, champ of the Nobel Prize in Economics, asserts that the mind utilizes a kind of programmed or instinctive framework, which doesn't rely upon the will; and is messed with "corona impacts", which are those that happen when there are inordinate speculations, rehashed measures or insignificant disentanglements. Along these lines, organizations that complete Emotional Innovation
needs to circumspectly deal with the progression of data, give the important chance to handle it in a combination of reasonableness with instinct, and spaces for inventiveness so the fitting changes can arise. As should be obvious, this is entirely inverse to what practically all organizations on the planet have been doing. 4. Enthusiastic development is intricate to oversee. If levelheaded cycles are now troublesome, it is important to prepare in delicate territories to accomplish the best close-to-home fulfillment of representatives, and afterward, causing them to merge in group elements in the organization. As the cerebrum chooses what we need to hear and focuses on dependent on what is generally natural to us, synapses should be invigorated so they quit remunerating the self-duplicity of proceeding similarly as usual, and that they open the extensions of change. 5. Leave the wellbeing of propensities. Keeping up with certain profitable schedules is sound as long as the inventive outcomes are acquired. Be that as it may, it is silly to keep up it on the off chance that we are fizzling. There is an impact of the mind as a guard of wants for a superior future, which comes from restricted discernments. The cerebrum reacts precisely to what we order it. So if we sort as per old outlook that is the thing that will end up. Passionate development depends on stirring up these plans. 6. Passionate advancement requires the backup of master experts to help lead this new energy to a decent port. 7. It is outlandish for organizations to battle against the feelings of their workers, which, thus, decides their corporate emotionality. These feelings should be utilized as a switch to make new models of dynamic adjusted to the present and to the advancement that is being sought after.
Allow yourself to reflect past having business objectives dependent on getting results. It is important to tune in, discourse, put discussions in the closer view, figure out how to differ with deference and cognizance. Stream, comprehend, and coordinate.
At long last, qualities like mindful tuning in, confidence, compassion, consideration, a feeling of authentic having a place, open and open correspondence and comprehension, are vital for articulate this. Passionate Innovation that adds to the advancement of all that known to put ourselves in another phase of things: neither preferred nor more awful than previously. Just extraordinary.

THESE STEPS ARE THE SECRET TO THE SUCCESS OF GREAT LEADERS
3. Create assets Your group will have explicit requirements to achieve explicit undertakings and to reach/make objectives. It’s the chief ’s responsibility to guarantee groups have the correct apparatuses set up to succeed. Assets range a wide range from enrolling the guide of specialists to aiding reprioritize targets to make the space accessible for the group to finish different destinations to the securing of material resources. A
uthority is quite a bit of workmanship as it is a science. Each experience is extraordinary and, consequently, will require exceptional ranges of abilities to explore. But, there are seven things, paying little heed to what your identity is and what you do, that an incredible leader does every day.
1. Impart the situation This “must-do” doesn’t involve a formalized interaction. What it does require is guaranteeing that you are giving your group refreshes, taking into account questions, and gathering any significant bits of knowledge that in any case would not be accomplished. Barely any things are more unfavorable to a group than deciding to play your cards close. That strategy from bygone eras is demonstrated to suck worker assurance dry. A pioneer needs to move takeaways, which will carry worth to and for the group. Consistency in progress depends on having all capable hands at hand, cooperating and with the shared arrangement, to make for the steadiest boat. In case you’re attempting to construct better design inside moderate-sized or bigger associations, the Leader ought to think about assigning the sharing of data among office/division heads and consider them to disperse the situation to their reports. Picking one-onones, ranking staff groups, or potentially both (contingent upon what should be cultivated) are acceptable approaches to guarantee this cycle easily pushes ahead. These ought not to fill in for any consistently planned workforce gatherings, which ought to be led at the recurrence and way that most bodes well for your authoritative climate, area, and friends size. Thusly, imparting the situation to your specialization/division heads will task and enable them to take reformist jobs in

2. Structure noteworthy plans This interaction ought to be formalized, and it ought to finish up with concurrence on what accepts the entire arrangement and will not enslave the arrangement to superfluous interruption. When the bearing is picked, a pioneer should remain behind the arrangement. There’s little more baffling than a pioneer advising the group they will go astray from an arrangement. Notwithstanding, it occurs. Thus, it’s ideal to several choices set up with a full purchase from your group. Say “yes” when a deviation bodes well, adds productivity,
A pioneer is, above all else, a mentor. Put the time in becoming acquainted with your group past their exchange and title. Establish places of refuge and a climate worth coming into every day. Realize what drives your reports and representatives to all the more likely advise your agreement regarding how the group functions in its present build and how to expand them. A pioneer will set aside the effort to perceive qualities and shortcomings, give and get criticism, and afterward benefit from ability while testing shortages. Develop individuals.
5. Trust the cycle It’s not possible for anyone to prevail in a void. On the off chance that you enlist brilliant and put in the push to give individuals scope to learn and develop, you will suffer a heart attack and driven group. Allow them to manage their responsibilities. They know them better than you at any point will. To be effective, you should allow them to steerage their tasks.
6. Give appreciation and radiate grace Strong groups make difficult work look simple. It’s most certainly not. Be transparently grateful. Be a positive power. Be an even-minded self-assured person. Guarantee appreciation is communicated impartially at whatever point conceivable. Try not to play top choices. Try not to doll out adulation. Be available, and be veritable, in that which you say.
7. Look forward Everything in which we draw in is a learning experience, regardless of whether it’s an individual first or a piece of dayby-day working. Trying to look forward and to improve is an extraordinary help. Extraordinary pioneers know there’s consistently a subsequent stage. Effectively set the stage, and deal with the assumptions.

IS BITCOIN DAMAGING THE ENVIRONMENT FURTHER?
The distribution referred to a recent report directed by the CCAF, which tracked down that 39 per cent of the absolute energy utilized for bitcoin mining came from inexhaustible sources in 2019, up from 28 per cent the prior year. The examination additionally tracked down that 76 per cent of diggers were utilizing environmentally friendly power sources as a feature of their energy blend.

s institutional financial backers keep on receiving bitcoin, one worry that has come up is its association with energy and natural issues. ESG specialists have contended that digital money strains the climate due to all the energy it requires to mine a solitary bitcoin. In any case, in a new report, Coindesk contends that it isn’t the situation, saying that bitcoin doesn’t use as much energy as some would suspect.
Energy utilization and bitcoin mining The media source concedes that digital money is energy-serious, as people, organizations, and gatherings known as diggers utilize particular equipment to mine the cryptographic money. They measure tremendous volumes of exchanges by gathering them into squares and dashing against one another to track down an irregular variable that meets the pre-set-up convention necessity. Uncovering that variable empowers the square to be added to the blockchain, however it additionally shoppers a lot of energy simultaneously. Excavators are remunerated for the calculations completed on their machines with the issue of new bitcoins. Mining becomes beneficial when the worth of the new bitcoins is more than the expense of the force used to mine them. Coindesk addresses whether bitcoin mining needs to burn through as much energy as it by and large does. The distribution takes note that the digital money was made for exchanges between two gatherings without a broker, decentralizing the installment organization. For the two players to confide in one another, they should concur about who claims what and with sufficient security on the organization. As indicated by Coindesk, “Bitcoin’s energyescalated agreement convention is how the organization accomplishes that agreement and honesty. Coindesk accentuates that bitcoin isn’t a nation, adding that contrasting its force utilization with that of nations doesn’t achieve considerably more than seeing the amount it burns through. Of the countries with mining tasks, bitcoin makes up close to 1.29 per cent of any one nation’s absolute force utilization. In the U.S., computer game consoles make up about 0.25 per cent of energy utilization, while development, business cooling, business ventilation, and business lighting range from 2 per cent to 3 per cent. Coindesk clarifies that such a setting is significant because energy use for bitcoin mining is spread among various nations, which implies it’s futile to contrast the cryptographic money’s utilization with that of nations.
What sort of energy does bitcoin use? As it’s been set up that bitcoin mining utilizes a great deal of energy, the following thought is the thing that sort of energy it employs. One of the enormous worries about energy use is that bitcoin excavators in Asia might be utilizing coal-terminated power, which is known for its mass contamination across China. Notwithstanding, Coindesk reports that a sizable level of the force used to mine bitcoin is sustainable.
Geology is likewise a fundamental piece of the discussion over bitcoin mining and energy utilization. As per the CCAF, about 65 per cent of the hash rate is in China, where the energy age has been intensely slanted toward coal. Nonetheless, 15 per cent of the mining happens in areas where the energy blend is generally sustainable. The remainder of the mining was in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, where coal is common. Be that as it may, tasks in Inner Mongolia have been closed down, and Xinjiang has been advancing toward sustainable power.
Bitcoin as a battery Coindesk additionally made another intriguing point. Bitcoin can be viewed as such a battery due to its utilization as a store of significant worth. While bitcoin mining is versatile, energy creation isn’t generally, particularly on account of sustainable power. Bitcoin excavators could settle in a far-off territory with heaps of sustainable power, monetary help to the local area. While the possibility of bitcoin as a battery might be somewhat deceptive, it is filling in as a capacity area, yet it is putting away worth rather than power. Diggers are taking unused energy that would somehow or another be squandered and changing it into esteem through bitcoin.

Sustainable Fashion The way ahead
Sustainable Fashion is a term that is progressively utilized (and neglected, frequently with little to back it up) nowadays, as we as a whole become always mindful of the genuine natural effect of our dresses — with the business liable for a stunning four to 10 percent of worldwide ozone harming substance emanations consistently. Be that as it may, what does supportable style mean? To put it plainly, it’s an umbrella term for garments that are made and devoured in a manner that can be, straightforwardly, supported, while ensuring both the climate and those creating pieces of clothing. That is the reason cutting CO2 discharges, tending to overproduction, lessening contamination and waste, supporting biodiversity, and guaranteeing that article of clothing laborers are paid a reasonable wage and have safe working conditions, are altogether pivotal to the maintainability lattice. Considering the number of variables required, there are still too a couple of brands out there right now handling these perplexing issues, and surprisingly those that are will concede that there’s consistently opportunity to get better. This implies essentially looking for things named ‘feasible’ isn’t sufficient; we need to reexamine our buying propensities and how we burn through garments. In this way, on the off chance that you need to guarantee your closet is pretty much as supportable as conceivable pushing ahead, here’s the beginning and end you need to know.
1. Purchase less and purchase better
3. Shop used and vintage
5. Keep away from green washing
It could be a banality, however, the mantra “purchase less and purchase better” is key when you look at that as an amazing 100bn pieces of clothing are being created universally consistently. Before making a buy, supportability consultancy EcoAge’s main image official Harriet Vocking exhorts that you pose yourself three immensely significant inquiries: “What are you purchasing and why? What do you truly require? Will you wear it, in any event, multiple times?”
With used and vintage now progressively open on account of locales like The Real Real, Vestiaire Collective, and Depop; think about purchasing pre-cherished things when hoping to add to your closet. Not exclusively will you broaden the existence of these articles of clothing and decrease the natural effect of your closet subsequently, you can likewise discover exceptional pieces that nobody else will possess. Look to any semblance of Rihanna and Bella Hadid — both vintage fans — for motivation here.
As purchasers become perpetually mindful of their natural impression, green washing—brands utilizing unclear, deluding, or bogus cases to propose its more ecoaccommodating than it is—is getting progressively pervasive. Look past popular expressions, for example, ‘economical’, ‘eco-accommodating, ‘cognizant’, and ‘mindful’ to check whether brands have nitty-gritty strategies to back up their cases.
2. Put resources into maintainable style brands
4. Have a go at leasing
Purchasing better can likewise mean supporting originators who are advancing feasible works, including any semblance of Collina Strada, Chopova Lowena, and Bode, who all utilize up cycled materials in their plans. Narrowing your quest for explicit things can likewise help, regardless of whether that is searching out brands creating sports clothing all the more reasonably (like Girlfriend Collective and Indigo Luna), swimwear (counting Stay Wild Swim and Natasha Tonic), or denim (Outland Denim and Re/Done).

Rather than purchasing another dress for that wedding or BBQ this mid-year (Covid limitations allowing, obviously), it’s presently simpler than any time in recent memory to lease something to wear all things being equal. As indicated by one examination, bewildering 50m articles of clothing are purchased and worn just once every late spring in the UK alone — a filthy propensity we need to rapidly discard, given that what might be compared to one waste vehicle of materials is copied and landfilled consistently.
6. Know your materials Understanding the effect of materials is significant with regard to making more maintainable buys. A decent general guideline is to stay away from virgin artificial materials like polyester—which makes up 55 per cent of garments worldwide—as these are gotten from petroleum derivatives and enjoy a very long time to reprieve down. Not all common materials are made something very similar: natural cotton, for instance, utilizes fundamentally less water than ordinary cotton and doesn’t utilize unsafe pesticides. Search for confirmations from the Global Organic Textile Standard (for cotton and

9. Backing brands that have a positive effect Eco-disapproved of brands, for example, Mara Hoffman and Sheep Inc. are beginning to consider how design can have a positive effect on the climate instead of simply lessening its effect. Regenerative horticulture—cultivating practices, for example, no-plowing and developing cover crops — is a developing pattern inside design that plans to reestablish soil wellbeing and biodiversity.
10. Watch out for unsafe synthetics
fleece), Leather Working Group (for cowhide), and Forest Stewardship Council (for thick) to guarantee the materials used to cause your garments to have a lower sway on our planet.
7. Ask who made your garments With the pandemic featuring the limited troubles looked at by a piece of clothing laborers throughout the planet, it’s fundamental that individuals who make our garments are paid a reasonable wage and have safe working conditions. Search out brands that straightforwardly reveal data about their processing plants and their strategies around wages and working conditions.
Secret synthetics that are utilized to treat our garments are a genuine concern, dirtying neighborhood streams and representing a danger to an article of clothing laborers. Look out for the Made in Green by OEKO-TEX and Bluesign confirmations, which set out necessities for compound use during the assembling interaction.
11. Decrease your water impression Given that the creation of material uses a surprising 93bn cubic meters of water yearly — identical to 37m Olympic pools— we should all be more cognizant about the water impression of our garments. As referenced beforehand, natural cotton utilizes altogether less water than regular cotton (91 per cent less, as indicated by one investigation), while the utilization of low-water colors likewise decreases water utilization.
8. Search for logical targets
12. Be cognizant about veggie lover style
To see whether brands are not kidding about decreasing their ecological effect, a decent spot to begin is checking whether they have focused on logical targets. Brands that have joined the Science-Based Targets Initiative, for instance—which incorporates Gucci-proprietor Kering and Burberry— should have objectives for decreasing CO2 emanations that are in accordance with the Paris Agreement.
While creature inferred materials, for example, cowhide and fleece accompany ecological and moral concerns, veggie lover choices, which regularly contain artificial materials, can likewise be destructive for our planet. Fortunately, there are energizing advancements entering the market, for example, Bolt Threads’ Mylo cowhide, produced using mycelium—the underlying foundations of parasites—which
has effectively been embraced by Stella McCartney.
13. Deal with your garments Expanding the existence of your garments is significant with regards to bringing down the ecological impression of your pieces of clothing, and guaranteeing they don’t wind up obstructing landfill locales after only a couple of wears. Guarantee your garments keep going to the extent that this would be possible by not over washing them (which will likewise bring down your CO2 discharges and water utilization), just as fixing them as opposed to tossing them out.
14. Stay away from microplastic contamination As it’s hard to stay away from engineered materials out and out (nylon and elastane are as yet needed in sports apparel and clothing to get that immeasurably significant stretch), washing garments can deliver a huge number of microplastics into our streams and seas, making hurt marine life that ingest the little particles. Fortunately, there’s a basic arrangement: putting resources into a microplastics channel, for example, a Guppy friend washing sack, in which you can put your manufactured pieces of clothing or a Cora Ball that you put in with your clothing.
15. Guarantee your garments have a subsequent life When getting out of your wardrobe, being cognizant about how you discard your garments will help prevent them from winding up in a landfill. Exchanging your garments or putting together a garments trade is the most ideal approach to guarantee they’ll have a subsequent life, just as giving to noble cause and associations that are searching for utilized garments. For destroyed pieces that can at this point don’t be fixed for reuse, search for reusing plans explicitly for those things, where conceivable.
