My Name is Sami, 2020, a Short Film made during COVID -19 pandemic and finished on 25th April 2020. This video is a reflection about domestic violence, human rights, and woman condition in all countries. Sami apparently calls a friend to tell her a tragic episode, told me about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband. She thought it was painful accepted it as a normal condition. “I was shocked and told her that she needed to contact the police. I thought about this short conversation for a long time. I really think that the way she accepted this abuse, thinking it was normal, is a huge problem for many women. I feel a responsibility, as a woman and an artist, to make people think about it, to confront this item. I don’t know if that will help solve the problem, but this is a start to combat it. “

My Name is Sami, 2020, é um vídeo feito durante o confinamento, terminado em abril 2020. Este vídeo é uma reflexão sobre a violência doméstica, os direitos humanos e a condição da mulher em todos os países. “Fui inspirada por um envolvimento pessoal: uma velha amiga, que encontrei por acaso, após muito tempo, contou-me o abuso de que foi vítima por parte do seu marido. Ela achou que era doloroso, mas aceitou-o como uma condição normal. Fiquei chocada e disse-lhe que ela precisava de comunicar à polícia. Pensei sobre esta curta conversa, durante muito tempo. Penso realmente que a forma como ela aceitou este abuso, ao pensar ser normal, é um problema enorme para muitas mulheres. Sinto uma responsabilidade, como mulher e artista, de fazer com que as pessoas pensem sobre o assunto, de se confrontarem com este assunto. Não sei se isso ajudará a resolver o problema, mas isto é um começo para o combater.”

Como diretora de cinema, dirigiu Call Me Reality (2013), uma performance teatral, The Birthday (2014) curta-metragem em mandarim, Connecting Fingers (2015), uma produção de dança de teatro sobre refugiados, When I dance (2016), um documentário de longametragem, The Wheel (Now, for Now (2018), Vieni (2019), Mamma Sleeps (2020).
