‘Build Together, Play Together’ is the 2025 theme of the National Recreation and Parks Association, and it’s quite fitting for us in Lincoln City!
Lincoln City Parks & Recreation (LCP&R) is working hard with our community to build Schooner Creek Discovery Park as an inclusive park, to improve beach accesses, to construct new public restrooms, to maintain trails, and more – all while continuing with ongoing preservation and repair to our current parks, open spaces, and Community Center. As we work together, let’s not forget to play together – to take the time to truly appreciate and enjoy the beautiful natural spaces, playgrounds, beach accesses, parks and the many impactful programs and events that help bring fun and joy to members of our communities.
Our vision is to provide (and build) health, wellness, equity, inclusion, environmental conservation, and indoor/outdoor recreation opportunities for all of our community to be able to play!
We are doing this by implementing Mobi-mats, beach wheelchairs, EnChroma glasses, inclusive playgrounds, accessible trails, accessible pool lifts, hearing loops and accessible kayak launches (to come!)
Along with our current vibrant offerings, our staff continue to offer more programming, including swim lessons, lifeguard courses, specialty camps, theatre, vocal workshops, pre-school play, mushroom hikes, & many community service events. We invite you to join us in play!
