A Successful Start: The First Architecture and Design Meeting at Ocsa. The initial gathering of the Architecture and Design community at Ocsa was a resounding success. The attendance was impressive, with a large number of enthusiastic participants filling the room. The atmosphere was electric, with excitement and passion for design palpable. It was inspiring to witness so many individuals eager to brainstorm and exchange innovative ideas. All considered, the first meeting set an encouraging precedent, setting the stage for a productive and positive work environment.

ISABELLA AVERION Isabella created a beach-themed kiosk on Roblox, utilizing a Southern California coastal-style architecture instead of the conventional K67 kiosk design. The kiosk features a range of summer-related items, including sandcastles, beach and pool toys, and an umbrella.

These elements add to the beach atmosphere and provide an immersive experience for those who visit the kiosk. the kiosk serves a dual purpose as both a beach hangout where people can Enjoy the sun and a shop offering refreshing beverages.

This semester our posts mostly consisted of announcements, group meeting reminders, and two small animated reels. This semester our Instagram wasn’t too active as we were just starting up our new club and still figuring things out. Our Head of Social Media, Kaiden, put out a few poles where our followers would vote for our next prompt and we want to continue to do more of that. For our future semesters, we strive to have a more active and creative online presence and see how many more people we can engage in the world of Ocsa Arc Design.

Our website had a slow start but now it’s up and running and sourced with the links for people to buy or look at our magazine for free. There are so many pieces of great artwork and design from our club members who used their style to embody our prompts. Another thing that is up and running is our store where you can buy and get our magazine shipped to your home. We wanted this to be an option on top of the free online viewing because 100% of the sales made from this magazine are donated to multiple Architecturally related Charities such as ArchiteXX, a nonprofit working towards equal opportunity in the Architecture and Design industry for everyone, as well as United Way of Greater Los Angeles helps people most affected by the housing crisis in California.

Ocsa Arc was an Idea I came up with freshman year and I am so happy that it came far this year.

I’ve always loved designing and building things and making this magazine was a blast. It was so exciting to see the talented people of Ocsa make cool, creative submissions to our prompts.

Presenting every week for Ocsa Arc was a lot hard world especially as I was making graphics and coming up with new prompts alongside Kai. But it was so satisfying to see the amazing works and passion for design the students at Ocsa have. I hope to grow Ocsa Arc further and further and eventually expand it beyond the students of Ocsa in the future. But until then, this has been an amazing first semester and I couldn’t be more impressed by the creativity and imagination of the students here.

Being able to help foster a creative atmosphere for architecture, at an art school nonetheless, is a very exciting opportunity, and one that I love doing. As the Vice President of Ocsa Arc, I helped co-lead meetings, as well as run the social media for our club, including posting polls, answering questions, and much more. Ocsa was an idea that me and Anvi first discussed when we met in our English class in the ninth grade when we both realized we shared a passion for the subject and wished to establish a club. We fully implemented it this year, and I cannot wait to further develop it with the magazine during the upcoming second semester.
