Lakewood Cross Country Ski Trails
There’s something magical about cross-country skiing in a national forest surrounded by the beauty and solitude of nature. The Lakewood Cross Country Ski Trails, located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, offer a Wisconsin winter escape like no other – 25 km of marked and groomed trails for skate skiing or classic skiing through changing terrain in the heart of the forest. Five color-coded trails of varying lengths and difficulty provide skiers with an ideal location for a casual ski with friends or a challenging ski to prep for competition.

Paul Bunyan Ski Hill & Tubing
At 72 acres in size, Paul Bunyan Ski Hill is a small hill compared to most. However, with ski runs ranging from beginner to expert, the hill “skis bigger” than it is. Paul Bunyan’s 150-foot vertical drop makes for some short but exciting runs. Skiers take multiple ski lifts to ski the entire hill. The hill is equipped with a Hall T-Bar ski lift and four rope tows. The tubing hill is equipped with a handle tow. Hours: 10 am-4 pm Saturday and Sunday for skiing and tubing, 5 pm-9 pm Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for night skiing, and open daily from Christmas to New Year’s Day. Amenities: Full-service restaurant, external warming shack, full ski patrol, skiing & snowboarding lessons, and K2 Ski and K2 Snowboarding equipment rentals.

Oconto Falls Tubing Hill
