Celebrating our impact, honoring our legacy, and championing our future. See how we soared in April!

April has been a busy month for Enhance Our Environment™ Initiative as we celebrated both Arbor Day and Earth Day!
We proudly hosted three tree planting events and successfully planted a total of 37 trees congratulations to everyone who contributed to this achievement!
Throughout April, sorors of Omicron Chi Omega actively enhanced the environment by participating in multiple tree planting events across Manassas and Woodbridge.
April 7th: Planted two trees at Manassas Health & Rehab Center.
April 12th: Partnered with the 4-H Youth Education Organization to plant trees at the 5 County Complex Court.
April 22nd: Volunteered with Signal Hill Elementary School’s Native Plant Gardening program.
April 30th: Planted two trees at Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to participate, there’s still time! We have more upcoming tree planting events, and we invite you to join us in making an even greater impact. Feel free to contact Soror Deitra Williams @ salley_dee@yahoo.com with any questions.

During our April Chapter Meeting, Omicron Chi Omega proudly recognized three exceptional Sorors who have reached remarkable milestones in their Alpha Kappa Alpha journey. We were honored to welcome our newest Pearl Soror Barbara Walker, Golden Soror Valerie Butler, and Silver Star Soror Ursela Daniels into the prestigious circle of Jewels.
Each of these distinguished Sorors was celebrated with beautiful floral arrangements and a heartfelt slide presentation highlighting their service, sisterhood, and dedication. Congratulations to our newest Jewels your continued commitment to excellence inspires us all!
It is with deep admiration and sisterly pride that we celebrate the extraordinary career of Soror Venice Goodwine, who will be retiring in mid-May after 31 years of dedicated federal service. Her journey has been nothing short of inspiring a testament to the power of excellence, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to progress.
