In May, Oceanside High School hosted its first Community Alliance for Youth Success (CAYS) Youth Success Conference. I had the opportunity to join dozens of other business and civic leaders for a day of helping students discover their purpose.

The CAYS Discover Your Purpose program was created by educational pioneers Bobbi DePorter and Stedman Graham with the curriculum designed by counselor, teacher, and school administrator, Candice Fee. The program is a collection of interactive lessons that can be used as seamless add-ons to what teachers are already doing in the classroom.

My presentation was titled Skills to Create Opportunity and Financial Success and focused on sharing with the students the most desired skills in today’s workforce. While numerous skills were discussed, my presentation focused on Communications, Leadership and Relationship Building.

Prior to introducing these foundational skills, I asked the students what they thought were the most important skills to be successful in the workplace. I was encouraged to learn that the students demonstrated a strong understanding of the importance of “soft skills” as a foundation for success. Their answers included such skills as communications, reliability, ethics, respect and discipline which closely align with what business leaders have indicated they are looking for in their team members.

This conference, along with our Rising Star Student of the Month program, are great reminders that we can be hopeful and excited about the future of our local workforce. I am honored to work for an organization that plays a critical role in the relationship between education and industry.

Stone Impact Gym: WHERE TRANSFORMATION BEGINS

Here in Oceanside, there’s a special gym with a mission that extends far beyond physical fitness. Formerly known as Axe Fitness, now rebranded as Stone Impact, this establishment is more than just a place to lift weights and break a sweat—it’s a sanctuary for transformation, led by the resilient spirit of its founder, Regina Stone.   Regina’s journey began in Tennessee, where she faced adversity and addiction at a young age. At the age of 21, she made the courageous decision to seek help, flying out to California for rehabilitation. With sheer determination and grit, she emerged from the shadows of addiction, and began her journey to healing.

Diagnosed with anxiety, she turned to exercise as a means of healing. As she embraced fitness, she not only found solace but also a newfound purpose. Empowered by her own journey, she resolved to help others navigate similar paths to wellness. As a certified trainer for seven years, she initially worked in corporate gyms but felt disillusioned by the emphasis on sales and numbers over genuine care for clients. This dissatisfaction fueled her ambition to create a gym that prioritized the holistic well-being of its members—a place where transformation wasn’t just physical, but mental and emotional too.

The COVID-19 pandemic became the catalyst for Stone Impact’s birth. Laid off from her job, Regina seized the opportunity to pursue her passion wholeheartedly. With nothing but her determination and a handful of private clients she turned a setback into an opportunity and began laying the foundation for what would become Stone Impact.

Stone Impact has a focus on family-oriented activities and events, it’s a place where children can witness firsthand the transformative power of hard work and dedication in not only their parents, but themselves. Whether it’s organizing community events, offering prizes, or lending a helping hand to those in need, Regina is honored to witness the personal transformations of everyone who walks through the gym’s doors.

Stone Impact is deeply ingrained in the fabric of its community, setting an example of positivity and support for all.

For her, the choice of Oceanside as the gym’s home was a natural one. Drawn to the welcoming and supportive atmosphere of the community, she saw it as the perfect environment to foster growth and change. In Oceanside, she found a community that embraced her vision wholeheartedly—a place where local businesses thrived, and neighbors rallied around one another in times of need. Regina is honored to witness the personal transformations of everyone who walks through the gym’s doors. For her, there’s no greater joy than seeing someone evolve, inspired by their own journey of growth.

As Stone Impact continues to make waves in Oceanside and beyond, it stands as a testament to the power of resilience, community, and the unwavering belief in the potential for change. From personal struggle to community impact, the journey of Stone Impact Gym is a testament to the indomitable spirit of its founder and the boundless possibilities that emerge when passion meets purpose.

From Oceanside to the National Stage: The Te-Hina Paopao Story

Growing up in Oceanside, California, Te-Hina Paopao found her passion for basketball amidst a family deeply rooted in athletics. Despite the family’s football legacy, it was her siblings who inspired her to pick up the basketball and pursue it with passion.

Paopao launched her college basketball career at the University of Oregon, where she was starting point guard. Paopao earned All-Pac-12 honors and AllFreshmen selection – being one of only two players in the league to earn both honors. She also led all NCAA freshmen with a 2.40 assist-to-turnover ratio while ranking fourth in the Pac-12 in assists per game.

Paopao made the pivotal decision to transfer to the University of South Carolina for her senior season. The move wasn’t just about changing schools; it was about seizing the opportunity to showcase her skills on a bigger stage and chase her dreams of winning a

national championship. Paopao saw South Carolina as a platform to propel herself into the WNBA and elevate her game to the next level.

Becoming a national champion was a surreal moment for Paopao, one that took a while to sink in. Beyond the glory on the court, it brought newfound attention and opportunities off the court, including brand deals and recognition in her hometown.

When asked about advice for young athletes, Paopao stresses the importance of trusting the journey and embracing individual paths.

One of Te-Hina’s favorite moments of each game is when they announce her hometown of Oceanside, California during the starting lineup announcements. Paopao emphasizes the impact of growing up in

the Oceanside community and credits her family for their unwavering support and unity throughout her journey. She acknowledges the pivotal role her family has played in her life and is grateful for the recognition they receive.

Paopao reflects on the culture of women’s basketball and notes the significant shift over the years. She recalls a time when there were fewer opportunities for female athletes, with limited coverage and exposure. However, with the rise of social media, there has been a remarkable transformation. Paopao finds inspiration in being part of this change, witnessing the growing support and recognition for women’s sports.

When asked about advice for young athletes, Paopao stresses the importance of trusting the journey and embracing individual paths. She cautions against comparing oneself to others, emphasizing the need to find joy and fulfillment in one’s own accomplishments. With a deep faith in God and a commitment to keeping Him first, Paopao encourages aspiring athletes to stay focused on their goals while remaining grounded in their beliefs.

Looking ahead, Paopao’s sights are set on the WNBA. She will continue to play her fifth year of eligibility at South Carolina with plans to enter the draft. Te-Hina eagerly anticipates the opportunity to represent her hometown of Oceanside, California, on the national stage. For Paopao, the journey from Oceanside to the WNBA is not just about personal success; it’s about inspiring the next generation of young athletes to dream big and chase their passions with unwavering determination.

MiraCosta College Celebrates 90 Years of Excellence and Community Service

MiraCosta College is excited to commemorate its 90th Anniversary in 2024. The college has provided diverse educational opportunities to the vibrant North Coastal San Diego County community for nearly a century. We look forward to celebrating our enduring commitment to educational opportunity and community enrichment with our community partners, supporters, donors, alumni, faculty, and students.

Since 1934, MiraCosta College has been transforming lives. As we celebrate our 90th year, we honor the legacy of those who came before us and pledge to continue providing transformative education and opportunities for all. Our commitment to excellence, equity, access, and inclusion remains unwavering as we look forward to shaping the future of education in our community and beyond.

MiraCosta College includes four campuses: the Oceanside Campus, the San Elijo Campus in Cardiff, the Community Learning Center, and the Technology Career Institute in Carlsbad. Each of these campuses reflects our mission to provide various educational pathways. Serving almost 27,000 credit, noncredit, and fee-based students annually, MiraCosta is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and a military-supportive institution.

MiraCosta offers associate degrees, university transfer programs, and workforce readiness certificates and is one of the original 15 California community colleges to offer a bachelor’s degree. The innovative programs and forward-thinking curriculum ensure that students

are well-prepared for the evolving demands of the workforce and higher education.

The 90th Anniversary Celebration will showcase the completion of various construction projects, including the new Kinesiology, Health and Nutrition building, Gymnasium, the Student Services building, Library and Learning Commons, and the Nursing Simulation Labs, funded by the Measure MM $455 million bond. These state-of-the-art facilities are not just physical structures but symbols of our promise to provide an accessible, high-quality education that meets the evolving needs of our community.

MiraCosta College is excited to host events to mark our 90th birthday. A ribbon-cutting event in February for the new Kinesiology, Health, and Nutrition Building at the Oceanside campus was held. On August 22, we will celebrate the Theresia M. Heyden Hall for Nursing and Allied Health ribbon-cutting. These events are just part of the many capital improvement projects we’ve invested in, which will be completed as part of the Measure MM $455 million bond to deliver state-ofthe-art spaces for learning and prepare students for lifelong success in a rapidly changing world.

As MiraCosta College celebrates this momentous year, they reflect on our journey from humble beginnings in a wing at Oceanside High School to becoming an educational, cultural, and community hub. We started as a “junior college” providing students opportunities to bridge high school and university. Today,

MiraCosta College’s comprehensive programs and services include over 80 associate degrees and certificates, university transfer, workforce and economic development programs, and a bachelor’s degree. Thoughtfully designed programs also accommodate the unique challenges of adult learners, individuals differently abled, those preparing for new careers, senior citizens, and non-native English speakers.

Our role in promoting regional growth and economic development is exemplified through our North San Diego Small Business Development Center and South California Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC). These centers support local businesses and veterans, fostering regional growth and economic development. Our efforts have led to national recognition, including being designated as a national Achieving the Dream Leader College and being named among the top 20 semifinalists for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Approximately 90 percent of our alumni remain within our community, contributing to the local economy and society. The greatest reward is our students’ accomplishments,

Flashback to the late 1970s: Oceanside Campus turned into a skiing paradise, capturing a moment of groovy vibes and chilly thrills.

The college’s name changed to MiraCosta College

1973 MiraCosta welcomed what has now become a college landmark—the Blayney Tower. The tower was given to the college by Dana and Eleanor Blayney in memory of their son, Robert, who was killed in action December 11, 1944, while serving our country in France.

This was a period of expansion for the college—several new buildings were constructed on the Oceanside Campus, including the Student Center in 1990 and the new library in 2003.

2010 The college opened the 400-seat Conert Hall on the Oceanside Campus.

Opened in February 2024 on the Oceanside Campus, the new $43.1 million, 40,415 square foot gymnasium complex, funded by Measure MM and community support, replaces the original gym, and introduces a centralized hub for Kinesiology, Health & Nutrition programs. This state-of-the-art facility includes training rooms, academic classrooms, beach volleyball courts, a Wellness Center, and distinctive design elements, significantly enhancing the Health & Wellness Academic Hub

Survey Shows Oceanside Voters Support Beach Restoration

Earlier this year, Save Oceanside Sand (SOS) began advocating for and lobbying the City of Oceanside to allocate current and recurring budget funds for Coastal Administrator support, sand nourishment, and coastal resilience projects. Without adequate budget support, Oceanside cannot attract funding and grants, risking the success of the Pilot Project and the future of our beaches. Funding to restore the city’s beaches and ensure coastal resilience is a crucial economic investment for our community. It is important that Oceanside not put this off – that the city not lose focus on what’s important while urgent issues are dealt with.

Following the City Council’s budget workshop on April 17th, SOS became concerned about the absence of funding for, or serious consideration given to, coastal management and beach resilience projects. To determine the degree of public support for allocating funds on a recurring basis in the City’s budget for such projects, SOS commissioned a survey. Conducted by telephone May 14 – 17, 2024 by a professional survey firm via live interviewers, the survey sample was composed of 403 registered voters who are likely to vote in the November 5th General Election. A screening process was used to ensure only registered voters who are likely to vote in the November 5th election were included in the survey. The overall margin of error was +/- 4.88 at the 95% level of confidence.

 Sand replenishment was a very high priority for Oceanside Registered voters.

 Total support for sand replenishment was 86%.

 When considering a $3 million annual budget, total informed support for beach sand restoration was 70%.

Regarding restoring our beaches, the following messages were considered “very persuasive” by respondents:

 Losing our beaches would have a major negative economic impact on Oceanside across the board to include potential loss of millions in business revenue, quality of life for citizens and reduced home values.

 Restoring our beaches helps preserve the charm and desirability of Oceanside, protecting our

community’s appeal and property values for years to come.

 Our local economy thrives when visitors flock to our beautiful beaches. Adding sand ensures Oceanside remains a top destination.

 More sand means more beach for everyone. Adding sand enhances our public spaces and boosts community well-being.

The Survey leaves no question as to the high priority placed on beach restoration by likely voters. SOS solidly supports the viewpoints expressed in the survey. We believe the City Council should ensure the budget reflects these findings. By failing to allocate adequate recurring funding and support for coastal management and coastal resilience projects, we risk losing the pilot project (as well as other key coastal projects). It is time for Oceanside to treat its beaches and shoreline as critical infrastructure which, by definition, requires funding and maintenance like other infrastructure throughout our coastal city. Our coastal sister cities of Encinitas, Solana Beach and San Clemente have large and recurring coastal projects because of their commitment to establishing funds for the sharing of costs on these projects. Without Oceanside establishing earmarked coastal funds and Capital Improvement Plan reserves for sand projects to show our commitment to cost-sharing, funding agencies will pass us by to team up with communities willing to make this type of commitment.

OCEANSIDE CHAMBER FOUNDATION

AWARDS $37,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO RISING STARS

In April, the Oceanside Chamber hosted its 3rd Annual Rising Star Scholarship Breakfast at the William A. Wagner Aquatic Center. The Chamber’s Rising Star Program, launched in 2021, aims to champion students that have overcome significant challenges in their lives while managing to keep on track with their education. During the 2023-24 school year, the Chamber honored a total of 29 students at its monthly Rising Star breakfast events. These amazing students were each given the opportunity to share their stories of resilience and persistence.

All 29 students were invited to apply for scholarships through the Oceanside Chamber Foundation, and 23 submitted applications. Scholarships this year ranged from $1,000 – $2,500 per student to assist in funding their next educational steps after high school.

At this year’s event, the Chamber distributed $37,000 in scholarships to the 23 deserving students. In the first three years of the program, a total of 51 students have received more than $94,000 in scholarships. Scholarship funds this year were made available by generous contributions from Genentech, Frontwave

Foundation, California State University San Marcos, PEO and Sizzler.

The fourth year of the Rising Star program will kick off in September. The monthly breakfast events are open to the public. Paul’s journey with Star Theatre began unexpectedly, driven by the simple desire to capture the essence of his daughter’s summer camp experience on film. Entranced by the theater’s charm, he found himself drawn to it, forging a close relationship with David Schulz, the theater’s Producing Artistic Director. What started as a collaboration soon blossomed into a fullfledged commitment, with Paul eventually taking on a pivotal role in the theater’s operations. Driven by a desire to make a real difference, Paul and David took on the challenge of navigating the theater through the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite

the hurdles, their dedication to the community never wavered.

For Paul, David, and the team at Star Theatre, the mission extends far beyond putting on captivating shows. It’s about creating a space where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can thrive, unencumbered by barriers or judgment. Overall, approximately eighty percent (80%) of debris in oceans comes from land. In California, single-use disposable materials for food and beverage consumption make up approximately twenty-five percent (25%) of the waste produced. A study from San Diego Coastkeeper found that fifty-three percent (53%) of the collected beach litter samples on the San Diego coastline were plastics, much of which was made of polystyrene. Polystyrene is a particularly harmful pollutant that breaks down into smaller pieces, is easily carried by wind onto beaches and waterways, harms wildlife, and persists in the marine environment.

Compost at the El Corazon Compost Facility

All organic waste collected curbside in green bins goes to Oceanside’s El Corazon Compost Facility to be processed and composted. The compost is free to Oceanside residents, courtesy of the City of Oceanside and AgriService Inc. The El Corazon Compost Facility is located at 3210 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside 92056. Bring a shovel and be prepared to self-haul. Call (760)439-9920 for more information.

Here are some helpful tips to help make your visit an easy and positive experience: Truck Loading Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm and Saturday 8:00am – 3:30pm. All loads must be covered. Please follow the 15 mph speed limit. This helps us increase safety and reduce dust.

By keeping your organics out of the landfill, you prevent the production and release of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. Diverting organics to your green bin helps create a nutrient rich compost which is free to Oceanside residents. Compost improves soil quality, biodiversity, and moisture retention. Composting is simple and it can also be done at your home, apartment, office, or even classroom!

Educational Workshops for Businesses

The City has partnered with MainStreet Oceanside and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce to provide in-person and virtual educational workshops focused on educating businesses on the new restrictions. Visit GreenOceanside.org for upcoming workshop information and to download educational materials.

The City of Oceanside is dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and has a target of reaching a 25% reduction by 2030 through its Oceanside Climate Action Plan and strategies outlined in its 2020 Zero Waste Plan. Properly sorting your recyclables, food scraps, and food-soiled paper diverts this waste from landfills and aids in meeting greenhouse gas emission targets. The Practical Impact of Measure X: A CLOSER LOOK

AT OCEANSIDE’S COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

Since 2019, Oceanside’s Measure X half-cent sales tax has funded many projects, programs and services. Beyond the modernization of infrastructure and facilities, Measure X programs help support the growth and development of Oceanside youth and offer resources to those in need.

The City has been working with community organizations throughout Oceanside to partner on services that feature a mentorship component with the goal to divert Oceanside youth from engaging in gang and drug activity. These Measure X programs have expanded a wide variety of efforts for kids, ranging from youth sports activities to programs providing mentorships to disadvantaged communities. This programming encourages kids’ talents, interests, and ambitions.

Since the expanded youth services began, over 1,400 Oceanside youth have been served at no cost, through 14 different programs, with more coming to include music, dance, financial literacy, and workforce development.

Measure X has also provided a source of funding to help address the impacts of homelessness in Oceanside. From funding bridge housing to deploying dedicated social workers and an outreach team,

Measure X programs offer solutions to tackle the multi-faceted challenges of homelessness. Through initiatives like family reunification, emergency prevention funds, Measure X support helps people access shelter, support services, and pathways to stability, empowering them to rebuild their lives.

Last year, Measure X programs helped to serve 742 homeless people, move 53 people into permanent housing, provide bridge housing for 24 people, coordinate substance abuse treatment for 14 individuals, and provide homelessness prevention for 140 households. Nine people were also reunited with family. According to the most recent Point-in-Time Count of homeless individuals, homelessness in Oceanside has decreased by 11 percent overall since 2023.

Elizabeth Carlson, a proud 5th generation San Diego County Native, has officially stepped into her new role of Events and Programs Specialist at the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Oceanside High School, Palomar Community College, and SDSU earning a degree in Real Estate while minoring in Sustainability. She was first introduced to OCC in 2012 when her family business joined the Chamber, Carlson Mobile Notary. She started attending events at 17 years old to build confidence, contacts, and sell her product: Girl Scout Cookies. In 2021 she was awarded Miss Oceanside 1st Princess allowing her to spend the next year attending a total of 45 events including Ribbon Cuttings and Business Mixers as a Goodwill Ambassador. After her reign was complete, she began working with many organizations as an events’ assistant: Foto Booth Images, 5 different Pageant Organizations and Good ol Gals. At OCC, she looks forward to now coordinating Monthly Business Mixers, Rising Stars Breakfasts and our 5 Signature Chamber Events.

Oceanside Community Foundation Celebrates $1 million in Grants since 2009

Including $92,000 this year for Suicide Prevention Projects in Oceanside

Oceanside Community Foundation (OCF), a regional affiliate of San Diego Foundation, held its Annual Grant Awards Celebration on June 4th at the Veterans Association of North County (VANC) in Oceanside and awarded $92,000 to five local nonprofits that provide suicide prevention programs. This year’s awards marked a major milestone for Oceanside Community Foundation. Since 2009, OCF has granted more than $1,000,000 to over 70 programs that help grow a more vibrant community in Oceanside. It was a night to celebrate the purpose behind collective giving.

OCF Board Chair Beverly Holtz shared her gratitude. “It’s a true testament to everyone who has been involved over the years. Members, volunteers, and leaders who give their time, talent, and treasure to make an impact in a community we all love.”

Oceanside Community Foundation’s mission is to meet emerging needs by encouraging and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy by and for the benefit of all who live, work, and play in the Oceanside community. OCF was founded in 2007 under the leadership of the late Tom Nunan and Colleen O’Harra,

and in partnership with San Diego Foundation. OCF established a significant membership base, attracted dedicated community members to serve, and then awarded their first grant in 2009.

The membership is comprised of individuals and businesses who contribute annually. Half of their dues support yearly grantmaking and half of their dues help build an endowment to forever benefit Oceanside. “It’s been thrilling to see our impact grow. We’ve been able to award about $90,000 annually to several organizations over the past five years. The goal has always been to raise philanthropic funds IN Oceanside FOR Oceanside nonprofit organizations, and our members make it possible to continue to do so,” said Colleen O’Harra.

Each year, the membership votes on a focus area and invites organizations with programs in that area to apply. At the forefront of OCF’s work is prioritizing the needs of the community and supporting impactful organizations serving Oceanside. Areas of focus over the years have ranged from human services, diversity and inclusion, and behavioral health to youth development, arts and culture, and the environment. Past OCF grantees include Brother Benno’s, North County LGBTQ Resources Center, Casa de Amparo, Interfaith Community Services, Oceanside Museum of Art, Oceanside Theater Company, Serving Seniors, Vista Community Clinic, Words Alive, Women’s Resource Center, San Diego Coastkeeper, and many more.

For this year’s focus of suicide prevention, OCF awarded grants to the Boys & Girls Club of Oceanside, Lifeline Community Services, KOCT: Oceanside Community Service Television, San Diego Therapy Center, and Zero8Hundred. Grants Committee Chair Marva Bledsoe spoke on the importance of this year’s funding. “These programs are dedicated to making a difference through awareness and action, and we are proud to support their efforts to help as many Oceanside residents in need as possible.”

Oceanside Community Foundation and the celebration of this milestone is an example of the power of pooled philanthropy and the notion that we can all do more as a collective. “The support for the non-profits in our community would not be possible without our members coming together,” said Holtz. “Our impact increases as our membership grows and we welcome anyone ready to make a difference in Oceanside. Here’s to the next million dollars!”

Oceanside Chamber Unites Community for Armed Forces Day Operation Appreciation

Armed Forces Day Operation Appreciation marked its triumphant return for the 22nd year, symbolizing the unwavering bond between the City of Oceanside and Camp Pendleton. Originating in 2002 as part of a commemoration of Camp Pendleton’s 60th Anniversary, this cherished event has evolved into a beloved tradition for the Oceanside community.

Thousands of active-duty military and family members were treated to a day of free food, live entertainment, and a fun zone for kids. The event kicked off at 11am, with opening ceremonies that included remarks from Congressman Mike Levin, Assemblymember Laurie Davies, County Supervisor Jim Desmond, Mayor Esther Sanchez, and Col. Dan Whitley. Live music was provided throughout the afternoon by Grand Sonic Theory, a local band known for rock, funk, soul, and country music.

The Fun Zone featured endless excitement with inflatable jumps, and a plethora of engaging crafts and activities provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside and Oceanside Public Library. Education Begins in the Home gave out hundreds of free books to the children, and Chick-fil-A provided free sandwiches for the Fun Zone.

The military family members were treated to free food throughout the afternoon from a variety of local restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings, Pick Up Stix, Urbane Café, Jersey Mikes, Marcos Pizza, Handel’s

Homemade Ice Cream and San Luis Rey Bakery and Restaurant. Beverage sponsors include Frazier Farms Market and Ocean’s Eleven Casino.

Over the past two years, numerous new businesses have emerged along South Coast Highway, making the area even more vibrant. Real Surf Shop 1.5 has temporarily opened at 1012 S. Coast Hwy., Ste E, for a few months until its permanent spot is ready.

Co-located at 1012-1014 S. Coast Hwy., Live the Gnar is a premier motorcycle accessories shop with sideby-side UTV accessories and e-bike accessories. Art Magic is an intuitive, fluid art and epoxy resin art studio offering workshops, painting meditations, and private art events. Skate Juice, a video production and apparel company, is coming soon. The Nordstrom Rack , occupying 31,000 square feet, is currently under construction at 2168 Vista Way in the Pacific Coast Plaza and is expected to open in June 2024. Recently, several new stores have opened in the Pacific Coast Plaza, including Bricks and Minifigs –a LEGO resale store, Urbane Cafe, which offers fire-baked focaccia sandwiches and salads, a Starbucks Drive-thru, Oceanside Modern Dentistry and Ten Gu Ramen.

FRONTWAVE ARENA UPDATE

Construction of the Frontwave Arena continues, and the arena is expected to open in September. This state-of-the-art facility will have a seating capacity of 7,500, offer excellent sightlines from every seat, and serve as the new home of the San Diego Sockers professional indoor soccer team. The LA Clippers have also announced that they will relocate their G League team to Oceanside and rename them the San Diego Clippers. The team is set to begin playing at the Frontwave Arena in the 2024-25 season. In addition to sports, the arena plans to host various shows, concerts, and special events, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages.
