In 1973, Tish Carter from the Restaurant Association of Maryland partnered with OCHMRA Board Member and Phillips Vice President, Paul Wall, to create a Tradeshow as a way to generate revenue. The first Expo, called "Delmarva will Thrive in '75", was held and managed to generate a profit of $7,000! For 50 years, we have strived to bring together hospitality buyers and sellers. Make sure you browse through the two halls on the lower level. And remember you can purchase directly from the floor (excluding alcohol), so be sure to take advantage of Show Specials! Our new Dockside Hall features a beer garden, MD’s Best Dept. of Ag & Seafood, a brand-new Spotlight Stage with culinary demos and Ask the Expert sessions. Hall A/B/C houses the Culinary Stage where chefs compete in the Surf & Earth Culinary Competitions to represent MD at the World Food Championship. On the second level, you’ll find MD Tourism Coalition’s Solutions Showcase workshops offering insightful and interactive sessions - a great place to feed your appetite for learning.
