CAR recognizes members’ achievements Association of Realtors presents 2017 awards at ceremony in Salisbury

In recognition of their hard work to uphold the highest of industry standards, six local real estate professionals were honored during the Coastal Association of Realtors (CAR) 2017 Annual Awards ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at The Fountains Wedding & Conference Center in Salisbury. Linda Moran, a Realtor for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty in Ocean City, received this year’s Realtor of the Year Award for being an experienced, dedicated professional with a true passion for the industry and a lengthy resume of service to her local, state, and national associations. Moran is CAR’s current immediate past president and has been rec-

ognized for her support of Coastal Hospice, The Sunshine Kids and the Maryland Economic Development Corporation. Moran is especially dedicated to Continuing Education (CE), having earned her Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Residential Specialist and Graduate Realtor Institute designations, as well as her At Home With Diversity Certification through Maryland Realtors. She has also completed the Maryland Realtors Leadership Program, as well as numerous other professional development courses. Moran has assisted in the development and implementation of designations, certifications and CE courses, and she is a regular speaker at local, state and national events, as well as a coach to top agents and brokerages across the country. Cam Bunting, a Realtor and broker with Bunting Realty in Berlin, won this year’s Lifetime Achieve-

ment Award for being a dedicated professional for over 30 years and fostering a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams. Bunting also won this year’s Community Service Award for being an involved member of CAR and a shining example of how important it is for Realtors to give back to the places where they live and work. Bunting has served on numerous CAR committees, as well as on the association’s Board of Directors. She is also an active member of the local chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. She has earned her Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, and Graduate Realtor Institute designations, as well as numerous certifications. She has done extensive volunteer and fundraising work for many local organizations, and most recently raised over $517,000 for Coastal

Hospice at the Ocean, a new facility slated for construction in Ocean Pines. She has also supported Atlantic General Hospital, the Berlin Little League, the Better Business Bureau, the Berlin Election Committee and the Berlin Restaurant Week Committee, among others. She’s received a number of local honors, including the 2015 Town of Berlin Citizen of the Year Awards and the 2016 Hats for Hospice Honoree Award. Joe Wilson, a Realtor with Condominium Realty in Ocean City, won this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award for being a model Realtor whose dedication and enthusiasm have been key to the continued development of CAR. Wilson holds his Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation and is a candidate for the Certified Residential Specialist designation. He also Continued on page 18
