Elvis tribute artist Cliff Wright of Branson, Missouri, performs on stage last Friday at the Clarion Resort Fountainbleu Hotel on 101st Street during the four-day Ocean City Tribute Festival. Wright was one of 20 tribute artists who competed for a bid to the 2022 Images of the King World Championship, set for next August in Memphis. The local event, held for several years, was both a qualifier for the final competition and entertainment for a large audience of Elvis fans. Organizers said this year’s event, which wrapped up last Sunday, had the best turn out ever.
