In-person voting sites set for general election Voters will get application for mail-in ballot as well By Elizabeth Bonin Staff Writer (Aug. 14, 2020) Each registered voter in Maryland will have the chance to vote in person for the Nov. 3 General Election amid the coronavirus pandemic, as per an executive order from Gov. Larry Hogan. The State Board of Elections also will send each Maryland voter an application

for mail-in voting. Hogan has received criticism for this order, as some contend in-person voting during the pandemic is dangerous and that the application for mail-in voting is an unnecessary step. Voters also should be aware of that Senate Bill 145, enacted on May 8, changed the terminology so absentee ballots are referred to as “mail-in ballots” and absentee voting as “mail-in voting.” This only changes the termiSee STALLED Page 2

Stars of OC Air Show: USAF Thunderbirds

By Josh Kim Staff Writer (Aug. 14, 2020) The 13th annual Ocean City Air Show will take flight this Saturday at noon, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as this year’s headliner. “We’re ecstatic that the OC Air Show will take place this weekend over the Ocean City Boardwalk and beach,” said Chris Dirato, OC Air Show Public Relations director. “Given the times, we have had to diligently work with our great partner – the Town of Ocean City – on an ongoing basis to be able to present this show.” The Cirque-du-Soleil of military and private aircraft, the air show caught its first wind in 2008 and has since See AIR-SEA Page 5
