NextCorps Fosters Growth & Innovation for Rochester's Tech Startups

Since its founding in 1987, NextCorps (formerly known as High Tech Rochester) has been committed to assisting technology innovators with building their businesses and creating new products. The company officially opened its state-of-the-art facility in the iconic Sibley Square, in downtown Rochester. The 40,000-square-foot facility includes signature co-working space located in the former Tea Room, private offices and suites, wet labs for biotech companies, a fully-equipped prototyping lab, conference rooms, a roof deck overlooking the Rochester skyline, an auditorium, common areas, a kitchen/cafeteria and game room. NextCorps also provides resident companies with mentoring, legal, financial, accounting, networking, business plan development, and marketing services. The facility will be home to an array of software, biomedical, health care, photonics, and electronics ventures. Accommodations can be made for as many as 100 or more companies. O’Connell supported renovations providing the electric, fire alarm, security and data build-out throughout the entire sixth floor. The project was a collaborative effort between OCE’s Victor Construction and Communications Divisions.
