It will feature over 50 food trucks and tons of vendors selling local arts, handcrafted and homemade items and merchandise.

“It is mainly a food event, so we are targeting foodies, and we have a couple of fun things added in here and there,” said Nguyen. “On Friday, it is Family Fun Night, featuring wiener dog racing on the racetrack. There will also be vendors making balloon animals, face painting and local vendors selling items for the whole family.”

In addition, there will be a lineup of outdoor entertainment featuring local bands and family-friendly activities during the Food Truck Festival. The hours of the Food Truck Festival are Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Who’s up for some country line dancing?

Dustoff those cowboy boots and get ready to yee-haw while you do-si-do with your partner around the floor of the H Lounge in the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to country line dance or participate in country line dancing, here is your chance. You can learn how to country line dance every Thursday starting May 1 in the H Lounge at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows with a professional instructor from 7-8 p.m.

After the lesson, you can participate in full-on country line dancing every Thursday evening with DJ Neal from 8-10 p.m.

Country line dancing isn’t something the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows has ever offered before.

JT Broadway, vice president of food and beverage at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, said they felt like they were missing something with a country theme, and line dancing was popular and missing in the Washington County and greater Pittsburgh area.

“So, we started brainstorming and were like, ‘How fun would it be to do country line dancing?’” said Broadway. “It can be fun for all ages over 21 and will be an overall fun atmosphere.”

They decided it would be fun to have a partner come in to teach country line dancing in addition to having a designated country line dancing event.

“They can come in and learn a couple of country line dances,” he said. “So that way, we can target a second part of the demographic that not only already knows how to do it, but those who

don’t know how to do it to give them the courage to say, ‘Hey, you can do this.’” Broadway said the instructor would stick around to help the new learners as needed as the night goes on. So even if you miss the first hour of lessons, that’s alright. The instructor will stick around all night to help as needed.

“We encourage everyone to come out and learn to country line dance

if they don’t know how,” said Broadway. “If they do, we encourage them to come out and show off their line dancing skills.”

While you are on the property enjoying country line dancing, make sure to enjoy all the events and entertainment offered at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

“We’re constantly looking for things outside of the box to do, like pop-up bars and country line danc-

ing, to draw people into the building and showcase that we are your go-to location for entertainment,” said Broadway. “Some people don’t like gambling, but they can still come to our property to have fun, hang out with friends, see live entertainment, enjoy a few drinks, or dine in our outlets and see that we have something for everyone all at Hollywood Casino at the Meadows.”

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is bringing the ‘80s back

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is bringing back the ‘80s in a fun way this spring with the Back to the ‘80s popup bar.

Its time to bust out your leg warmers, lace gloves, track suits and fluorescent outfits and come check out the Back to the 80’s pop-up bar, which will be located next to ESPN BET from April 10 through May 24.

“We are excited to bring back the nostalgic feeling for those that grew up in the ‘80s with this project,” said JT Broadway, vice president of food and beverage.

do something different.”

Without giving too much away, expect to see servers and staff decked out in ‘80s attire. They also have some wild ideas from a décor standpoint, such as movie posters, arcade games, large cell phones and 80’s themed music to tie everything

“Both the signature cocktails and the food menus will have ‘80s-themed colors and names,” said Broadway. “We will also have regular drinks for those not interested in the signature cocktails.”

Back to the ‘80s pop-up bar will operate Thursdays 5-10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. There are opportunities for businesses and groups to book the pop-up bar for private events Sunday-Wednesday through group sales on the property.

The last pop-up bar, which was Beetlejuice-themed, brought in over 4,000 visitors in the seven weeks it was open.

“The Back to the ‘80s pop-up bar will have cocktails and appetizers reminiscent of the ‘80s,” said Broadway. “It’s not your normal restaurant and bar. It is just a cool environment to come, hang out and

together.

Visitors should also expect to enjoy nostalgic things such as music from the ‘80s, commercials and current events that happened in the ’80s, which will not only attract the younger demographic but also bring in the demographic of those who grew up in the ‘80s.

Programming for the Back to the ‘80s pop-up bar will include trivia night every Thursday, ‘80s Theme Night every Friday and Live DJ ‘80s Dance Party on Saturdays.

“We encourage people to put on their best ‘80s attire and come out and have a great time if they are 21 and up,” said Broadway.

After visiting the Back to the ‘80s pop-up bar, make sure to visit the other events happening at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
