Hollywood Casino at the Meadows has noticed growing interest in the table game baccarat, resulting in a brand-new baccarat-centric game room on the casino floor, expected to be unveiled later this year.

This experience is a regional exclusive. Other area casinos like Rivers and Live! don’t have dedicated baccarat rooms, providing a cohesive experience for players.

The game isn’t dealer versus player like many casino tabletop games;

instead, there are two options, but players decide to bet the player hand or banker hand.

Hollywood Casino at the Meadows has always had at least two baccarat tables, said director of table games Stacey Leclerc.

“We have seen a growing interest in this area over the last 12 months or so,” Leclerc said. “We are going to invest in growing that on the casino floor.”

Lounge, will have eight tables in total: six for baccarat, one for pai gow and one for blackjack.

Currently, the baccarat tables are situated open on the casino floor with the other table games, but they will all be moved into the new lounge, adding to the cohesive theme.

Construction is in progress as of the start of November, and decor and other ornamentation will begin soon. The Bacc 8 Lounge will occupy the former poker room.

Baccarat is popular with the Asian population, so the Bacc 8 Lounge will be themed accordingly. Bacc 8 Lounge will be serviced directly from Zen Noodle, as well as the other property restaurants.

The next revamping phase will feature new Zen Noodle dishes, including items with more excitement and flair, “using cultural dishes to really tie the whole picture together,” Broadway said.

Broadway previously worked at the St. Louis locations of Hollywood Casino and River City Casino and Hotel, which each had baccarat rooms and an Asian restaurant. His previous experience will help make this transition easier.

“It is a little bit of a different experience because a lot of the table games are set to be your hand versus the dealer’s hand,” Leclerc said. “Most importantly, if anybody is not sure or curious, we have dealers that are always willing to help. People come up all the time.”

Dealers are ready and willing to help teach new players, explaining how everything works. Leclerc said it’s simple: just approach a table and ask.

She said that one of her favorite things is to have someone excited to learn a game and try something new.

The change isn’t limited to just physically moving the tables, but also offering more styles of baccarat, like mini and midi, commission-free, tournaments and high- and low-limit options.

Leclerc said she wants to encourage primarily slots or even online players to try live table games, as they’re an altogether different experience.

“Providing a room dedicated primarily to one game creates an inviting atmosphere,” Broadway said.

The casino also plans to introduce technology to elevate the guest experience, with online and kiosk ordering in the Bacc 8 Lounge.

Guests will soon also see a robot on the casino floor delivering meals directly to the tables from the kitchen. The robot will bring food from The Eatery to the new Bacc 8 Lounge “I think it’s really going to take off in this market based on how open the dealers are to teach the game, but also that overall inviting feeling we’re going to bring,” he said.

ESPN BET COMING TO HOLLYWOOD CASINO AT THE MEADOWS

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows guests will soon see refreshed branding at The Sportsbook to accompany the casino’s new partnership with ESPN BET. “We are thrilled to be partnered with the worldwide leader in sports,” said sportsbook manager Josh Herman.

With the rebranding, the Sportsbook will be getting a facelift, including signage, decor and menus.

Construction is set for November, with a grand opening weekend in January.

The space will be half sportsbook and

half sports bar, with one cohesive, allencompassing umbrella: ESPN BET. JT Broadway, vice president of food and beverage, said the core vibe of the space is an elevated sports bar.

Maintaining the game day feel while making it a complete experience is essential. Partnering with an entity as large as ESPN BET is a huge accomplishment for the team, Broadway said.

Broadway said the casino is in the process of coordinating the opening weekend with ESPN BET is excited to have a relationship with the behemoth brand, especially seeing as Pittsburgh will host the 2026 NFL Draft. ESPN BET’s first retail location was in Detroit’s Hollywood Greektown Casino, which launched while Detroit played host to the 2024 NFL Draft. Seeing the fanfare and talent with that grand opening excites Broadway for the opportunities that could be coming to Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Hollywood Casino at the Meadows is the place for more this holiday season, and this year, it’s even bigger than ever, with more winners, more cash, more fireworks, more champagne and more fun.

Topping the casino’s successful Beetlebar Halloween Pop-Up Bar Experience will be hard. Luckily, patrons don’t have to wait until New Year’s Eve to party again. All December, promotions are filled with holiday cheer, and every weekend, the entertainment calendar is packed with crowd favorites so everyone can sing along. Hollywood Casino at The Meadows will be wrapping up the holiday season with Bon Journey on Dec. 27, Dancing Queen on Dec. 28 and No Bad JuJu on Dec. 31.

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is working with hotel partner Hyatt Place at The Hollywood Casino to provide the best accommodations for our visiting guests to eat, stay and play. Holiday packages will include a room at Hyatt Place, dinner for two at The Sportsbook Restaurant, complimentary beverages and more. PENN Play members should watch their mailboxes and emails for details.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be the holiday season without giving back to the community.

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is once again offering the Toys for Tots partnership with North Strabane Police and Fire Departments, which kicked off in early November and runs through mid-December. Last year, the community filled both trucks until the truck beds overflowed, and the casino is hoping for an even better turnout this year.

All holiday promotions are open to any PENN Play members, and the casino’s PENN Play team is available daily to help with any questions or quickly register any new guest.

The casino has brought back the Pick-AStocking Sweepstakes on Saturdays in December. Five winners every hour can pick a stocking off a tree and unwrap up to $2,500 PENN Slot Play.

Table players can enjoy the $35,000 Cold Hard Cash Giveaway, with unlimited entries on Lucky Hands while playing table games or poker in December and earn double entries on Fridays.

There will be weekly quick draws on Dec. 7 and 14 and the grand cash finale on Dec. 21.
