Indigo on Main offers a peaceful space to practice yoga, experience reiki or other modalities.
The business brings together several different talents and skills from partners passionate about helping people.
Jill Sansom, the owner of Indigo on Main, is a yoga instructor, intuitive reiki master and an integrative nutritional health coach.
“I want us to be a conduit of healing, or offer people that space for movement or coaching or just popping in to see what reiki is all about,” said Sansom.
She offers group, private or corporate yoga classes, tools and props to help with restoration and reiki sessions.
To expand her offerings and keep costs down, Sansom brought in partners who bring different specialties to the table to create a collaborative effort and offer several services to the public.
“My partners can grow their own business within these four walls and give me a percentage at the end of the month,” said Sansom, “They are responsible for payments from their clients, scheduling and marketing. We are open to growing more partnership opportunities based on the shared needs and interests of our community.”
Her partners include Nikki Davison, an aromatherapist and yoga instructor with Blue Ripple Blends; Briane Agostinelli, an intuitive reiki master and empowerment coach and consultant; Erin Scanlon, intuitive reiki master and empowerment coach with Scanlon Connections; and Sandy Rollo-Delong, a yoga instructor and yoga trainer with Yoga Flow to Go.
“Indigo on Main is by far the best yoga studio around,” said Tiffany Bossong. “It is more than a yoga studio. It is a community/family of like-minded people. I have never left without a smile on my face. I look forward to my weekly yoga classes with Jill and Nikki. They are both amazing at what they do.” Bossong said that Indigo on Main has much more to offer than just yoga.
“I try to go to as many classes, events and sessions that I can. They always have new and fun things going on,” said Bossong. “I highly recommend Indigo on Main and am so glad it moved to the Washington area.”
Indigo on Main holds a free heart-based donation event, Reiki On, for community members to come in and learn about reiki. Partners Agostinelli, Scanlon and Sansom will allow attendees to connect, elevate and amplify their energy in the session.
Shannon Balch, who attends Reiki On, said that Indigo on Main is a wonderful community with diverse classes and events for everyone to enjoy.
“I have loved getting to experience the healing energy of reiki through Reiki On shares and look forward to relaxing and healing experiences offered through the shared energy of the positive practitioners and clients I have met there,” said Balch. “Jill, Erin and Briane create a warm environment that fosters friendship and creativity. As an avid yogi, the mix of yoga class offerings is a welcome addition to the Washington community. There is something for every fitness level, with classes ranging from yoga flow to stretching with a gentle flow. The positive, encouraging atmosphere in the studio allows for an immersive experience with mind and body balance.”
Sansom expressed that her studio is very inclusive and open to everyone.
“If you have a limitation, we will work with you,” said Sansom. “Everybody needs empowerment and an opportunity to be present. We are trying to meet people where they are.”
Although yoga can be intimidating to some degree, Sansom said, she and her instructors ensure everyone feels comfortable and is offered options. They are also going to provide a beginner’s series on Monday nights.

“I think downtown Washington needs this space because we are accessible, and we offer yoga and may introduce you to different parts of wellness you didn’t know you could adopt into your life pretty easily,” said Sansom.
Sansom previously owned two yoga studios, Indigo Yoga Loft, in 2019. But when COVID hit, she transitioned to online. In 2021, she started under the mentorship of a friend in Canonsburg who is an intuitive reiki master.

“I relocated there for yoga and started doing reiki,” said Sansom. “Then I started getting the bug again that I needed to be back in Washington.”
Sansom did a pop-up event in March at the space she is in now with a friend, and it created a fire in her to open a new studio.
“I took the lease in July and did a soft opening throughout the summer,” said Sansom.
Sansom said she chose the name of her new studios because indigo is the color of the sixth chakra.
“It is the color associated with intuition and insight,” said Sansom. “I have always loved the word and the color. It’s that deep blue, and it has always called to me. It is a beautiful color.”
Gretchen Munroe attends a weekly yoga class at Indigo on Main and says she loves everything about it.
“Jill is such an amazing person and yoga instructor,” said Munroe. “She has taught me so much since I started my yoga practice with her in February 2020. She is truly one of a kind! Jill is so helpful, inspirational, kind, caring and a master at teaching yoga and how to get through struggles in life with grace, as well as how to care for our mind, body and souls.”
Munroe attends weekly group yoga classes.
“I would recommend everyone to try a class or two,” said Munroe. “Trust me, you will not be disappointed. I’m beyond grateful for Jill and her yoga studio.”
