Deadwords Brewing is a craft brewpub in the Parramore District of Orlando. The brewery sits right on North Orange Blossom Trail and is just minutes from Universal and Disney World. The name “Deadwords” is inspired by the Hymn to Ninkasi. The famous hymn has a 4,000-year-old beer recipe written in an archaic language. “To us, it was fascinating to realize that although the earliest words used to describe and define it are now ‘dead languages,’ beer has outlived those words – and even the civilizations that have consumed it.”

Inside Deadwords, they have artfully paired modern design aesthetics with impressive references to ancient times. The space is decorated with Mesopotamian artifacts. Upon arrival, guests open a mirrored door, not only reflecting light from the hot Florida sun, but also hiding what the inside of Deadwords has to offer.

Deadwords and Oat Foundry have quite a bit in common. We both make award-winning products inspired by a rich history. We pride ourselves in high-quality products made from locally sourced “ingredients.” One of our handmade Split Flaps sits above the bar and it will immediately catch your eye when you walk into Deadwords.

The 6 Row and 24 Column sign cycles through quotes and trivia. It explains the story behind their name and their beer brewing process. They actually use a clay pot to brew some of their beers, like they did back in the day (BCE days that is). The clay pot isn’t the only thing that pays homage to all things old school. The Split Flap acts as a perfect way to blend modern tech into ancient design. 40 " x
