PROJECT | Hederslev City Centre Urban Rehabilitation PROJECT TYPE | Real project - Competition Phase II - Final Design LOCATION | Hederslev City YEAR | may 2017 TEAM | Project Collaboration with Urban Power Studio, Copenhagen, Denmark PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION | Concept Development, 3D Modelling, Visualizations, Presentation materials TECHNIQUES | Story telling conceptual drawings and visualizations OBJECTIVES | Water Management and treatment, urban Fluidity, Climate Adaptation Solutions, Integrated Urban Development, Physical and Spatial Urban Rehabilitation With the settlement in Hederslev City, this project derived from Municipality’s thrive to reinvent the city through it’s own values and identity. The main opportunity for this purpose is raised by the area between Jomfrust’s roadway and the current track trajectory, which has the potential of being changed from a left over industrial area to become the city’s new unifying parkroom.

The design was orientated towards landscaping first the terrain. The new hills allow for orientation in the landscape, while slopes can be used as spectators at concerts, theater and outdoor screenings. At the same time, they give variety to running routes and different physical exercise opportunities. The hilly landscape is matched by a low-lying delta of pools. Rainwater is led from the hinterland and down to the park’s basins, which have permanent water mirrors and are serially connected to each other and to the fjord. The change between land and water gives a great variety of arctic conditions and high biodiversity. With the new park room, there is a town center near the city center.

The future road profile has the same overall width, but is divided into zones for driving, parking, planting, walking and cycling. The roadway is narrowed to the necessary with overtaking center area, so buses and large vehicles can also come unimpeded through. Overall, it gives lower speed, greater attention and security. The transition from Jomfrusti’s narrow street to the Virgin Park is marked with a unifying surface, which visually leads safely from street to park. The surface is raised to sharpen the attention of the motorists. Rainwater flows in a stream from Nørregade to a cleaning bed, after which it flows further under the road and the surface of the basins in the park.

PROJECT | Tender Project For the Municipality of Copenhagen PROJECT TYPE | Concept phase LOCATION | Nordhavn Copenhagen, Denmark YEAR | jun. 2017 TEAM | Project Collaboration with Urban Power Studio PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION | Urban Strategy Development, Mobility Strategy, Landscape Design, Presentation Materials and Booklet. TECHNIQUES | 3d Modeling, Atmospherical and Visual Image Development OBJECTIVES | Direct mobility connection Nordhavn-Refshaleøn, Climate Adaptation Solutions, Sustainable housing, Sustainable Energy Plant, Green connectivity. Nordhaleøn is a proposal for a combined water barrier that is meant to be the answer for copping with the sea level rising meanwhile connecting the city and developing a sustainable housing island. It is the missing link in a fully connected and sustainable Copenhagen. Having this continuous threatening of being flooded, Copenhagen is willing to build a new water barrier to protect the city. In this regards, the question was why not to use these barriers for much more than protection.
COMBINED WATER BARRIER - GREEN RING
1 LOCATION DENMARK
COPENHAGEN
The debate that raised the interest for this project was in relation with whether or not to build a ring road tunnel around Copenhagen. This proposal deals with the traffic in a more sustainable approach allowing the cars accessibility in a limited amount and emphasizing the Metro line as well as an attractive bike route. With this new connection the ring around Copenhagen is full and strolling through the different harbour neighborhoods will be possible. At the same time the former shipyard ´´Refshaleøn¨ can be developed without the cost of an expensive harbour tunnel. Nordhaleøen is approximately 550.000 m2 containing around 900.000 m2 of housing, offices etc. The island is thought to be a sustainable showcase with a negative carbon footprint - it produces more energy than it consumes, further more it adds a great park for recreation as well as a sunset beach.

2 CONCEPT
The project has a holistic approach, envisioning the museum itself and the public space -the future Garden of Odense-, as indivisible parts in a duality-influenced relationship. Both illustrate the famous works of the writer, with subtle mementos and allegory displays in an integrated design, named “The Mirror of Dreams”. The title refers to the fact that each and every visitor shall filter and interpret the morals within Andersen’s fairy tales, in a personal manner, in a mirrored-reflection. Moreover, the museum and the garden become that one place where the visitors reconnect with their childhood, while day-dreaming about intriguing fantasy lands. One of the key elements of the concept is creating a path within the museum that recreates the initiated journey of every major character included in Andersen’s stories. All of the chambers and spaces are built in such a manner as to reflect the teachings of the writer, real and adequate in ancient times, as well as now. Visitors enter unknowingly into a different kind of space, but exit with a new vision that highlights the most important values of our society.

INFINITY BOX unfolding the public space
PROJECT | “Infinity Box” International Competition, Orbicoop 2017 PROJECT TYPE | Conceptual Competition - Urban Transformation LOCATION | Vesterbro Torv, Copenhagen, Denmark YEAR| nov.2017 TEAM | Freelancer Urban Designer Oana-Maria Paraschiv and Anne Schlosser Dehn PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION | Concept Development, Plan drawing, 3D Modeling and Visualizations TECHNIQUES | The Process of Unfolding, Modular Structural Development 2d/3d OBJECTIVES | Community Space, Urban Fluidity, Flexibility and Integrity, Urban Landmark This project’s aim was to design a Recreation space around the
idea of coziness, meant to serve as a nodal example for Urbanized Cities by providing vertical volumes of experience thus serving as an INFINITY BOX. In order to achieve this purpose, the space was designed as a playground of experiences by using temporary modular structures in order to create adaptable, cozy and experientially rich urban spaces.

2 EXISTING URBAN CONSTRAINTS
The space is transformed by following the existing urban constraints. Based on this, an urban system it’s generated, whereas non-commercial activities (such as ‘shelters in the city’, ‘urban office spaces’, ‘pop-up art and installations’, ‘leisure and play’ and ‘community gardens’) are hosted by these infinity boxes. The infinity box is a folded structure that wraps itself around human experiences . The idea of an infinity box is translated by the infinite possibility of generating the architectonics considering the basic process of unfolding a box. The architectonics are created based on the specific urban constraints of the given site Verterbro Torv, Copenhagen, and the proposed programming scheme, but following the general idea that can be adaptable to different urban settings. PLAYGROUND OF HAPPENINGS Reflecting and creating new experiences
PROJECT | New Playground PROJECT TYPE | 3 days Interview Assignment for Carve Studio, Amsterdam, The Netherlands LOCATION | The Netherlands YEAR | Sep.2017 PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION | Concept Development, Plan drawing, 3D Modeling and Visualizations TECHNIQUES | Modular Composition, Materiality OBJECTIVES | Modular structure, adaptable to the given space; Integrated Design, reflecting the surroundings; Enhancing the experiential value of the new place. With a strong focus on the context as well as on the given brief, this project is proposing a unified space … a space described by its surroundings and users (different age range) … a space that is enhancing connections (between people and environment) and interconnections (between users) through experience. The main idea was to create a proposal that is enabling the new playground to be absorbed by the surroundings, meanwhile new happenings are accommodated and reflected by the modular structures.
REFLECTING HAPPENINGS

3 DETAILING THE CONCEPT The “Playground of happenings”, as the name suggests, represents an exaggeration of a playground concept, by creating not only a place that stands for play and fun, but also by accommodating other types of experiences such as: meeting, exploring and reflecting. “Experiencing the space brings together the participants” Therefore, the project’s vision is brunched in three features that are followed during the whole design process in order to enhance: - the senses, the perception/reflection, the connection with the space.

GLOSTRUP STATION TRANSFORMATION Transitory Playgrounds
PROJECT | The Rehabilitation of Glostrup Station, PROJECT TYPE | Research Project - Designing for flows and MultiModality LOCATION | Glostrup, Denmark YEAR| Sep.-Nov 2016 TEAM | In collaboration with Urban Planner Marianne Vinum PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION | Analysis, Conceptual Drawings, Modeling 2d and 3D, presentation Materials, Research Paper TECHNIQUES | Modular Composition, Wayfinding Systems, Sation Design, Fluidity and Flows in Multi-Modal Nodes, Inter-connectivity OBJECTIVES | Modular structures meant to guide and direct the urban actors’ flows, Wayfing Strategy for facilitating the interchanging between diffferent public means of transportation (train, light rail, busses, taxis, bikes), Design Places for staying In the matter of mobility, the stations are illustrated as our transitory playgrounds. Stations are drawn and established upon their main quality of hosting movement, connectivity and directionality. However, the rapid acceleration within our society, both in terms of technology and mobility, had affected their capacity to afford a good and structured connectivity. Therefore, this project is seeking to study the acceleration within society and how this had been reflected on human interactions, their embodiment performance and movement within the transitory spaces of stations, as mobility hubs.

2 DESIGN STEPS
The current project is, thereby, concentrating around the debate of stations’ capability to maintain their most distinguished quality of distributing the flows internal and external. Based on this state of quo, the three terms of wayfinding, connectivity and cohesiveness were introduced as design parameters, pillars for elevating the full potential of stations. Giving the fact that the stations are made also for people, as community (identity, sense of place, activities), the design is readdressed in order to afford proper conditions for a social environment. Recognizing the importance of creating these social environments, factors such as gathering spots, new experiences and interactions are hosted. By transforming Glostrup Station, the design solution is offering a complete recipe of designing for flows, in the matter of community.

VISION LOCATION OF THE URBAN FUNCTION
LOCATION OF URBAN FORM
For this design sugestion of the Glostrup Station Transformation, the concept is based on the idea that both the form and the functions are following the flows, making in this way, flows as the focal point of the design. Therefore, by mapping out the existing flowlines, the design base layer is created (pavement- flow pattern). Considering that the intersection of these flow lines are giving the location of the urban structures, the waiting areas are defined. Moreover, the urban furniture is part of the grid being located in the spaces between flows and defined by lowering or raising the grid.
