Oakcliff Sailing is an elite training facility dedicated to improving the level of America’s sailors.

Join this session if you want a taste of it all.

Foundational Knowledge Learn maintenance, provisioning, scheduling, and logistics: the building blocks for any successful sailor.

ELEVATEYourGame

Choose Your Adventure The freedom to explore your interests with guidance from professionals.

Personalized Coaching Experienced staff, expert coaches, and accomplished champions will mentor students in a variety of disciplines.

SAPLINGProgram A summer long dive into professional sailing through a structured apprenticeship at Oakcliff’s America’s Cup style campus. The Sapling program encompasses all of the material of the Acorn programs as well as full-time, unparrelled access to Oakcliff’s facilities and experts.

Leadership Experience Each Sapling will be a boat captain or a first mate on one of our 40-50 foot keelboats. Saplings benefit from elite-level coaching while learning to become coaches themselves.

Advanced 360° Training The rigorous curriculum ensures graduates are proficient with marine electronics, rigging, composite repair, sailmaking, marine engines, and campaign management. Saplings learn how to tune a rig, repair an engine, and pay the bills.

Industry Job Placement In-depth training in industry skills from top level professionals provides unparralled networking opportunities. 100% of 2015 Sapling graduates are currently employed or attending school. Most Saplings never want to leave, and some of them still haven’t; several currently assist our full-time staff.

SaplingProgram May 10 – August 21 Merit-based scholarships are available.

Sapling tuition covers accommodation, coaching fees, complete access to boats/facilities, and some meals.
