Winter Term Check In: What Off-season?

While most winter sports athletes spend their spring relaxing, taking a break from their sport, and vacationing at the beach, many of NYSEF's Winter Term athletes have continued to work hard toward reaching their on-snow goals.

During the second to last week in May, head men ’ s FIS coach Seppi Steigler and alpine athletes Denny S., Gavin Ebert, and Charlie Howe traveled to Colorado to participate in the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Eastern Region GS project. Seppi was named to the regional staff for the event, while the boys progressed through GS training in some amazing conditions at both Loveland and A-basin!
The following week, Winter Term's Paul Fogarty and Thomas Reynolds participated in the U16 version of the same GS Eastern Regional Project in Loveland, where conditions remained great for spring skiing! U16 teammate Luke Salibello was also on snow in Mammoth at the American Downhiller Camp! These athletes' hard work and dedication this spring will put them one step ahead of the competition this fall!
