STATEN ISLAND FERRY

David’s level 3 morning class met up in the Financial District in Lower Manhattan expecting to go to the Native American Museum. However, due to the government shutdown at the time, it was temporarily closed so they opted to take a trip over to Staten Island using the ferry service.

STATEN ISLAND BOROUGH HALL

Once arriving on the island, they took a walk up the hill towards Staten Island Borough Hall. Inside, they could view beautiful mural paintings of the early days of New York City, depicting Dutch, English, and Italian colonial life and achievements.

EMPIRE OUTLETS

Afterwards, they headed to the nearby Empire Outlets, took some photos, then went back to the city using the same ferry service.
