WHERE WE WILL

On May 5th and 19th LHS Key Club hosted their first and second annual car wash. The students advertised the event the weeks prior via social media. Before the event the students brought in towels, sponges, hoses, soap and even made signs for the event. At the car wash the students took turns washing cars and holding posters to bring in customers. Board members and Key Clubber’s look forward to this event every year and are excited to host more car washes this summer. The Lynbrook Kiwanis Vice President Scott Hastings even came to visit and got his cars washed. With everyone’s help, Lynbrook was able to reach their goal. Together we raised a total of $1900 to help send two students, Division 7 Lieutenant Governor Jessica Strohofer and District Executive Assistant Katy Gottlieb to ICON as well as for the Embracing Your Past to Empower Your Future charity which helps fund their “Each One, Teach One” college book stipend for descendants of the enslaved. Lynbrook Key Club looks forward to seeing everyone at their next car wash on Sunday June 9th.
