MERRY MARQUIS MOMENT –

A F E S T I V E I N T E R V I E W W I T H S A N TA

Jingle all the way from the North Pole! As the holiday season prepares to blanket New York City in its magical embrace, we had the privilege to catch up with the most awaited guest of them all – Santa

Claus! Before he embarks on his legendary sleigh ride, Santa shares the inside scoop on his anticipated stay at our hotel and shares his festive favorites in the Big Apple.

Q: What drew you to the New York Marriott Marquis for your Christmas planning staycation? A: It’s no secret that I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and after years of snacking on cookies and milk, my jolly physique needs a bit more room to unwind after a day spent around the city spreading holiday cheer. The spacious guest rooms at the New York Marriott Marquis are perfect, with views overlooking Times Square and the contagious energy of the Theater District permeating the hotel. I can’t wait to ride up and down their iconic glass elevators and be greeted by the hotel team’s wonderful hospitality as Mrs. Clause and I head out to meet the other guests, decorate cookies and enjoy a warm cup of hot cocoa in the Broadway Lounge’s during their 12 Days of Festive Fun. Q: What’s got you buzzing with excitement for your stay at the New York Marriott Marquis? A: The Marriott Marquis team really has gone all out this year to make things merry and bright for us guests, so there is a lot to be excited about! Out of all 12 Days, I am most looking forward to the Very Merry Santa Brunch on December 2nd. I can’t wait to hear what’s on everyone’s list (check them twice), listen to carolers and, of course, enjoy the many sweets that will be on the menu. Q: What is it about New York City that lights up your holiday spirit Follow along Santa’s Stay by during the festive season? visiting our Instagram page A: How does that song go? “The prettiest sight you’ll see is the holly that @newyorkmarriottmarquis. will be on your own front door?” Well, I think that is mostly true with one exception: the elaborate Christmas lights and trees all across New York To learn more about the Very Merry City. I like to sneak in a show every now and again, like the Nutcracker in Lincoln Center or the Rockettes in Radio City.
