Welcome to the 2023 NYCETC Conference Dear Friends, As the largest city-based workforce development association in the country, the New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) supports the linkage of workforce development and economic development. Our broad membership ensures that every New Yorker has access to the skills, training and education needed to thrive in the local economy and that every business can maintain a highly skilled workforce. Today, NYCETC is focused on advancing pathways to an inclusive economy and increasing access to quality jobs and wages. We serve as the industry voice of workforce development providers and the connective tissue that works to fill the existing structural and systemic gaps. Together, we address the issues which challenge our collective ability to drive job growth, improve earnings, and build strong communities. We are convening today with service providers, employers, business alliances, labor and trade partners, elected officials and city and state agency representatives, educational and research institutions, and funders. Our goal is to consider the policy reforms and investments that are needed to build an inclusive economy and the practices and results that we need to hold ourselves accountable to and demonstrate daily to make #QualityJobs possible for all.
