NwSSU-SJC, San Jorge BFP conducted a Fire and Safety Seminar

March is an alarming month according to statistics recorded by the Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP). It is also considered to be one of the warmest months in the Philippines; temperatures and humidity reach their maximum levels throughout the archipelago.

With that, the NwSSUSan Jorge Campus held a Fire and Life Safety Seminar together with the BFP of San Jorge on March 29, 2023 at NwSSU- San Jorge Covered Court at exactly 10:00 am till 12:00 noon. The seminar was participated by the students and faculty. It was headed by the BFP of San Jorge, Samar SFO4 Vicente G. Ayong Jr. The Municipal Fire Marshals were introduced during the talk, namely, SFO1 Bridget V. Ygbuhay, FO3 Bryan V. Lucis, who discussed the concept of fire, safety tips and different precautions. The discussion gives lots of knowledge and learning to the students about the given circumstances .

After the discussion, FO1 Jameson G. Dela Tonga demonstrated the proper methods of shut-off in case of flames. Students get involved in the demon- stration act to apply the given preparatory actions.

The San Jorge BFP officials extend their genuine and sincere gratitude because of the cooperation and participation of the students . It is BFP’s mission to protect each individual in terms of fire.
