Mother’s Day Brunch at Topaz Farm

Enjoy a private day on the farm, exclusively for Mother’s Day brunch box pre-orders! Their resident Farm to Plate Chefs have two amazing 5-course meals (for two) available — and also kids brown bag lunches available for pre-order too. Adults can choose from a selection of adult beverages including “Farmimosas,” local wines, beer, ciders as well as non-alcoholic choices. Mr Ben at Wonderwood Springs

Come sing songs and get the wiggles out with Mr. Ben in the magical land of WonderWood Springs! Wonderwood Springs is a new immersive fantasy cafe experience that transports you from Portland and into the magical realm of Wonderwood. The magical pairing of Mr. Ben and Wonderwood Springs give you a chance to enjoy some family time with your community on a Sunday morning while the kids sing and dance and you relax with your favorite beverage and a snack or pastry. 10am, $10 to $20 per family recommended, but no one will be turned away, and donations/tips are anonymous.

Elephant & Piggie’s: We Are in a Play!

Elephant & Piggie is the first show on The Stage at The Judy: NWCT’s new home at 1000 Broadway! Meet “bestus friends” Gerald the Elephant and Piggie the Pig. Together, they tackle friendship’s big questions: What happens when two friends want to play with ONE toy? What DO you wear to a fancy party? Where the Mountain Meets the Moon at Newmark Theatre

Based on the award-winning novel by Grace Lin, this musical tells the story of Minli, a young girl who lives in a ramshackle hut with her parents in the valley of Fruitless Mountain. In the evenings, her father regales her with old folktales of the Jade Dragon and the Old Man on the Moon, who knows the answers to all of life’s questions. Inspired by these stories, Minli sets off on an extraordinary journey to find the Old Man on the Moon to ask him how she can change her family’s fortune. She encounters an assorted cast of characters and magical creatures along the way, including a dragon who accompanies her on her quest for the ultimate answer.

NWCT’s Cinderella at The Judy Catalyst: NWCT’s Youth Company will present Cinderella as the first show in The Black Box! This NWCT original musical tells the story of Cinderella like you’ve never heard it before. A tapdancing extravaganza featuring a bigband jazz score by local composer Ezra Weiss, Cinderella explores the challenges of being true to yourself while trying to live up to family expectations. This heartwarming story filled with flashy production numbers and toe-tapping tunes will send audiences home saying, “I just wanna dance!” 2:30pm, $15-$20 nwcts.org/shows/cinderella
