• If someone with measles is in a room, the virus will linger for 2 hours after they have left?

• Measles passes from person-to-person very quickly.

• If a woman has 2 doses of MMR in childhood, (protecting also against rubella and mumps,) in her teens or between pregnancies she has a better chance of a healthy baby.

• GPs are happy to give catch-up vaccinations to older children and adults who never received 2 doses of MMR.

• One in five children who catch measles need admitting to hospital, many with breathing difficulties.

If you think that you or your child have measles, isolate at home and call your GP surgery or NHS 111 for advice

We should have proably come up with a new name for this. While it’s technically popcorn, it’s popcorn that would feel completely out of place at a funfair and right at home at a black-tie event. For lack of a better term, let’s just call it artisan popcorn. It might seem obvious, but let’s be honest—it would probably be a shame to let the kids get their hands on it.

Since 1969, University Jewish Chaplaincy has been the primary Jewish charity physically on campus looking after the needs of Jewish students during their time at university. We are proud of being able to offer support to over 9,000 Jewish students in over 100 universities across the UK, especially over the last academic year.

It’s a very worrying state of affairs when 89% of Jewish students reported experiencing antisemitism at least once in the last academic year and 50% noted receiving this abuse at least once a month since October 7th 2023.

The answer to hate on campus has to be more Jewish students doing more Jewish things. And with the relentless challenges that students continue to face, we must ‘ Strengthen our Students’ and ensure our provision continues uninterrupted, through the generous support of people like you.
