A collection service will be in operation at houses on 300+ pre-designated roads, making it simple for residents to dispose of Chometz before Passover.
The list of pre-designated roads is available at www.barnet.gov.uk/pesach-collection. We will be offering a pre-bookable collection service for residents who do not live on a designated road. Check the road list to see whether your road is a pre-designated road, and then follow the relevant guidance below.

If your normal refuse collection day is Thursday 26 March, Friday 27 March or Monday 30 March your arrangements are as follows:
Your refuse bin collection will take place on your normal scheduled collection day from 6am.
You will have an additional refuse collection on Wednesday 1 April where a maximum of three sacks of Pesach waste per household will be collected (we will only collect your refuse sacks on this day, we will not be emptying your bin), and your food waste bin will also be emptied.
Please place your refuse sacks and food waste bins at the boundary of your property by 6am
If your normal refuse collection day is Tuesday 31 March or Wednesday 1 April your arrangements are as follows: Your refuse bin collection will take place on your normal scheduled collection day from 6am.You will also have your first food waste collection on your normal collection day. You will have an additional collection of a maximum of three sacks of Pesach waste alongside your normal refuse bin collection. Please place your sacks at the boundary of your property by 6am.
Only if you do not live on a pre-designated road or your refuse collection day is a Monday, a pre-bookable collection of a maximum of three refuse sacks to take place on Wednesday 1 April can be requested by emailing pesach@barnet.gov.uk or calling 020 8359 4600 until midday on Wednesday 25 March
Your normal bin collection will take place on your scheduled collection day. Please place your sacks at the boundary of your property by 6am on Wednesday 1 April. We will only collect your refuse sacks on this day, we will not be emptying your bin.
There will also be six Barnet waste collection vehicles at fixed locations, where you can bring up to three refuse sacks for disposal between 7.30 and 11.00am on Wednesday 1 April:
1. NW11 – The Ridgeway near junction with Gresham Gardens
2. NW11 – Golders Green Road near no. 208 Golders Green Road
3. NW11 – Decoy Avenue near junction with Bridge Lane
5. NW4 – Ashley Lane near junction with Parson Street
6. HA8 – Broadfields Avenue near junction with The Drive
• Your normal refuse bin collection will take place on your scheduled collection day. Collections may take place at a different time of day than usual.
• Please put food waste in your new food waste bin, and consider donating any Chometz that is not opened to a local food charity. Food waste cannot go into the blue recycling bin or green garden waste bin.
• Chometz that is not presented as set out above will not be collected.
• Please do not overfill refuse bins or sacks, as it may not be possible to collect these containers.
