Milo and I met at the University of Arkansas. We were introduced by mutual friends, and then had a class together senior year. We became friends, and after graduation we started spending more time together. Our first real date was at Pesto Café in Fayetteville. We dated for two years before Milo proposed. During that time we were very intentional about getting to know each other’s families, got more involved at church, and went to countless Razorback sporting events and AMP concerts. Our favorite thing to do back then, and still today, is relaxing at the Bailey family cabin on Beaver Lake.

In March 2018, Milo took me to look at rings. Soon after, he asked my parents for their blessing, which they happily gave. I spent the entire summer of 2018 in anticipation of a proposal. Finally on a humid evening in August on the Bentonville Square, Milo got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Even though I had been anticipating it all summer, I still couldn’t believe it and was overwhelmed with joy! We celebrated over dinner with our families.

Once we were engaged, I quickly got to work planning. We wanted to throw a big party and New Year’s Eve sounded like the perfect time to do that. The first thing I did was reach out to Corrie Childers Photography. I loved her light, airy, and natural photography style. I found the perfect wedding dress with a touch of sparkle

for New Year’s Eve. Also, for about 6 months before the wedding, Milo and I took ballroom dancing lessons. We had a lot of fun!

The wedding was amazing, but I particularly loved the ceremony space. It was in The Ravington’s courtyard, which was tented and draped in white with climbing green vines and twinkle lights, with candles lining the aisle. The harpist played Bach’s Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring as my dad walked me down the aisle. It felt so heavenly and intimate. My dad even said to me “it feels so dream-like”.

In the midst of it all, one thing we both forgot to do was to get nice stationary for our notes that we exchanged before

the first look. I used a thank-you note, and Milo went and bought a “congratulations on your wedding” card. He crossed out ‘your’ and put ‘our’.

One of our favorite details was a nod to our Italian heritage. For favors, each guest received homemade biscotti cookies, which our families made from scratch. Koon’s Saloon kept the party going late into the evening, and we rang in the new year, 2020, with confetti cannons and champagne. Our guests sent us off with sparklers, and our getaway car was a white 1948 Cadillac.

We will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary this year, and if I could do it over, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was absolutely perfect!
