remember Mom’s words while visiting Sassafras Springs Vineyard. It was a beautiful sunny day in April 2015. Mom said “I don’t know.

Are you sure? It could be cold in March.” I replied, “I don’t care if it rains, sleets or snows; I want to get married here!”

Our wedding date was set for March 19, 2016.

I’d felt ill for several months leading up to the wedding. I went to several doctors, and none could find anything wrong. On February 9th, Brad took me to the emergency room. I have little recollection of what happened during the weeks to follow. I was told that I had necrotizing pancreatitis. My kidneys had shut down and my other organs were failing. By all rights, I should have died.

God answered many prayers. Brad was there every day, my mom stayed with me the entire time and many faithful friends were there for me through it all. Brad’s parents flew in from Philadelphia and my brother was given leave from the Army to be there. They stayed until I began showing signs of improvement and was taken off the ventilator. My brother even missed a month of classes at OU. Our wedding was rescheduled for March 11, 2017. I called mom in tears the Wednesday before the wedding. 100% percent chance of rain was predicted with near freezing temperatures. I asked her if we could have the outdoor chapel tented. She was calm and reassuring when she said no. She reminded me of God’s grace and mercy. “He answered our prayers when you were sick. He’ll give you the most perfect weather that He wants for you on your wedding day.

She also reminded me of what I said about getting married there two years prior. “I don’t care if it rains, sleets or snows...” What could I say? She was right. I let all that fear and anxiety go. Guess what? On my wedding day it rained, sleeted and snowed! It was the only day in 2017 that it snowed in Northwest Arkansas. Coincidence? I think not.

I married the love of my life that day. Our dearest friends gathered despite the weather.

Brad and I truly had a fairytale wedding. Everything fell into place.

Our wedding photos and video are so unique and breathtaking in every way. I’m grateful to God for His perfect plan for our wedding day.

I’d like to thank the following: Sassafras Springs Vineyard for an amazing venue and staff. Max Grubb, the most outstanding photographer and human being.

Pragma Productions for capturing a day I never want to forget. My makeup artist, Jacque Shirley and my hair stylist Janelle Zurga-she even visited me in the hospital.

After postponing the wedding, my mom took me dress shopping again, and I ended up with two dresses. Thank you to Tesori for my ceremony dress and Low’s Bridal for my reception dress! I was in love with them both!
