It allows parents an evening to rest and reconnect while knowing their children are being well cared for and are safe. rEcess is a time for children experiencing disabilities to have FUN while being paired one on one with an adult friend whose sole objective is to make rEcess the best night of their week. It is also a time for siblings to have lots of fun and connect with other siblings who understand what it is like to have a brother or sister experiencing disability.

The Nelms Dyslexia Center is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization in Fayetteville that provides dyslexia training for teachers and provides dyslexia assessments and intensive dyslexia therapy for students. We offer community programs, information, and support for families and children with dyslexia to all of Northwest Arkansas. We provide the highest quality, research-based instruction in the five components of reading as identified by the National Reading Panel.

War Eagle Cavern is open March 5th through Thanksgiving Weekend Monday through Sunday from 9:30am to 5pm. It features a beautiful natural entrance right along the shores of Beaver Lake. The cave is wheelchair and stroller friendly and great for all ages. The Cavern is a great enrichment in learning and as such a beautiful rich history to it. Tours start by the gift shop which is on the paved path along the bluffs of Beaver Lake. You can observe spectacular views of Eagles Point, which is a 40-foot-high lookout over the cove, leading you to the entrance of the cave. The caves feature stalagmites, stalactites and Arkansas crystals that had been forming for millions of years- sites you won’t want to miss while visiting the cavern.
