The Ravington Beautiful 365 Days Of The Year Arkansas native, Amber started out in the wedding industry as a high end wedding planner in Los Angeles, and Eric, also an Arkansas native, created one of a kind, custom made furniture. After their first child was born, they left LA as fast as they could in order to come back to God’s country to live the dream! Here they took on a mega remodel and purchased the dilapidated 293 N. Main Street building in Centerton, a mere 2 days after they landed back home in NWA. Built in 1909, the Ravington is a versatile, gorgeous piece of history. Bring your photographer, your planner and/or designer, your florist, and caterer to make your dream wedding a reality. It’s full of texture, character, funk, charm, whimsy, and glam! Clients appreciate the unique atmosphere dripping with texture and richness. When asked about common mistakes she sees a bride and groom make, Amber said that many couples freeze themselves into a budget before they choose a venue and thus end up with a venue that does not meet their requirements (ex: an empty, non air-conditioned barn) and then spend more in the long run trying to make up for the shortcomings. Amber’s advice when planning a wedding is that the most important factor is keeping the big picture in mind: you are marrying your best friend! If something stresses you out, scrap it! Things like favors and save the dates won’t be the things
that your loved ones remember. They’ll remember the look on your face when you gaze at the love of your life. Owning and restoring a historic venue has led Amber to not believe in trends. She believes that clients should stay true to themselves, their love story, and make it memorable (and comfortable!) for their guests. When dealing with potential issues the day of, Amber says it’s important to breathe a lot and just move forward by “doing the next right thing”. The Ravington site managers aim to please the clients and the guests with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts. They take great pride in playing well with all wedding vendors, accommodating client needs, and finding ways to say YES whenever they can! Communication is key for success. The Ravington makes a pledge to clients that they will hear back within 48 hours. In the welcome packet, they teach clients how to email with specific subject lines so that texts, Facebook, Insta, tiktok DMs, etc don’t fall off of the radar. Three years out was the furthest booking Amber ever had! They are currently touring for 2025 dates now. Just give her a call to check availability. Being the birthplace of so many new families never gets old at The Ravington. It is an absolute honor for them to host the happiest day of a couple’s life! If you like beautiful old things, chippy paint, world traveler vibes, whimsical art, vintage doors, and fun things like copper and glass pyramid skylights, The Ravington is the venue for you!

Top Eight Vendors Needed For Your Wedding #1 VENUE In 2024, it’s expected that more and more couples will seek venues to spark awe from their guests. From outdoor woodsy venues with swanky backdrops or elegant gardens with beautiful, bold color, to dreamy destination weddings at delightful venues like farms and ranches, to chateaus with massive chandeliers and impressive fireplaces…a bride is looking to amaze her guests! #2 PHOTOGRAPHER/ VIDEOGRAPHER Book your photographer early! You’ll be able to include your engagement photos and plan for additional portrait sessions should you book your photographer early enough. Discuss your venue choice, your style and visual ideas with the photographer beforehand to make sure his/ her style meshes with your own. Don’t be afraid to ask for references. #3 CATERER Food can be a bigger part of the guest experience than the entertainment and venue! Recommendations can give you assurance that you are making a good decision. You
can also attend local wedding shows to get a good idea of how good a caterer is. Look for top-notch presentation, abundance of food, and of course, TASTE! Choosing the right caterer for your reception is crucial. #4 FLORIST Check out local social media groups when choosing a florist. It’s also helpful to ask for recommendations from wedding experts like your photographer, caterer, and venue manager who deal with professional florists every day. When you meet with potential florists (we highly recommend doing this in person), be prepared with visual samples of your style, color choices, and budget range. Be open to ideas! #5 CAKE DESIGNER Choose your wedding cake design after you’ve settled on the caterer, florist, venue, and overall wedding design. The cake should complement your wedding story and fit the space that it’s in. #6 WEDDING PLANNER Depending on the need, you may only require the assistance of a coordinator the day of the event. Many
brides recommend this at a bare minimum. You’ll want the moms, bridesmaids, sisters, and friends to be able to enjoy the event without the interruptions of dealing with the details of the day as there will be a lot of coordination needed. For the bride who is looking for someone with a more hands-on approach throughout the planning process, she will want to hire a wedding planner early. #7 DRESS Every girl has dreamt of her wedding dress. Cliché perhaps, but true! It’s a special occasion to involve your family and friends. Before involving those family members and friends, however, we suggest that you have your overall style choices down to 2. Most importantly, have fun! Memories are meant to be made along the way. #8 ENTERTAINMENT Book your entertainment! A popular trend expected for 2024 is having more than live music, a DJ, or fireworks. Think dramatic performances like acrobatics, contortionists, and juggling! This is a huge opportunity to make your reception stand out from all the rest.
