Some love stories begin with grand gestures, but ours started simply: a smile, a conversation, and shared appreciation for life’s small moments. We met at a social event in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and were instantly drawn to each other’s warmth. I love Antonio’s kindness as a father and he says he loves my vibrant compassion. It makes us feel at home with one another.
Early on, we promised, “If we stay this sweet forever, we’ll never have anything to worry about.” That promise has guided us through nearly ten years together, through both joy and challenge, strengthened by faith and love.
Our proposal captured the heart of our relationship. Antonio surprised me, bringing together both families to propose—a moment rooted in family, faith, and love. Faith has always been central to us. Antonio’s faith, one of the most attractive things about him, continues to guide our relationship, grounding us with a steady calm. Together, we balance each other perfectly: his calm steadiness to my spirited spontaneity.
On 2/22/2022, a date symbolizing balance and hope, we married in a timeless, intimate ceremony. Faith and family were at the heart of the day. Antonio’s late father was honored with a sign in the front pew, reminding us of his enduring presence, while my father’s attendance made the day even more meaningful.
To us, marriage means trust, love, commitment, respect, and a deep faith in God. That faith has carried us through life’s challenges, helping us grow stronger together. Our advice to other couples is to lean into your faith, cherish quiet moments, and never stop laughing together.
Together, we’ve built a life of love and faith, and we eagerly await the next chapters of our journey.
