MENTOR HIGHLIGHT: JORDAN COHEN

Hop Frog Farm
Onalaska, WA
Hop Frog Farm is a certified organic farm in Onalaska, WA growing microgreens and herbs for grocery retailers in Washington State. They have also partnered with Grace Harbor Farms on opening a certified organic creamery in historic Downtown Chehalis. Their 30 acre farm is part of a larger conservation project to protect and preserve neighboring organic farmland and salmon habitat from transitioning out of production and being rezoned as high density residential housing.
With a focus on sustainability they offer most of their products in 100% compostable packaging and participate in social outreach projects such as supporting local food bank projects.
Jordan began farming in earnest in 2018, growing microgreens and vegetables at his off-grid farm. In 2021 he moved to a larger farm next door and Hop Frog Farm became certified organic that same year. Working with WSDA Organic has been very educational for them and Jordan’s excited to share his knowledge and experience with other farmers.
