Amy Sylvester Award

Our goal is to continue to expand patient access across our region. Our 2023 was meaningful and significant in so many ways. I am profoundly grateful to work with an incredible, dedicated team.

The Pat Roche Hospice Home commemorated a decade of caring for our neighbors. Our focused team provided clinical care and dignity to a recordbreaking census in 27 towns. And over $4 million was raised toward patient care for our non-profit mission.

In October 2023, our annual Colleague Celebration was held to recognize our team for their dedicated work.

The NVNA and Hospice Charitable Fund Board of Trustees presented the fourth annual Amy Sylvester Award for healthcare excellence at Tosca recognizing two leaders who have made an impact on health care in their communities by way of philanthropy, advocacy, or education.

On one night in November 2023, 10 homes across the region — Cohasset, Hingham, Duxbury, Norwell, Marshfield, Weymouth, and Hull — held Bella Vita parties in honor of our mission for the ninth year in a row.

Chaired by Board of Trustees member Dianne Reilly, $70,000 was raised for patient care at the Pat Roche Hospice Home.

The November 2023 honorees were Sunita Puri, MD, MS, Program Director, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at UMass Chan School of Medicine and Kevin Callanan, past Chair, NVNA and Hospice Board of Directors.

NVNA and Hospice must position ourselves to meet the region’s rising need for care, and we can only do so with the community by our side.
