In 2021, traveler spending in these localities generated a direct economic impact of $275.2 million and provided $11.9 million in local tax revenue. The pandemic has impacted the tourism economy of the region significantly in 2020 and visitor spending declined by about 28% in 2020. In 2021 with the travelers coming back to the region, the visitors spending completely recovered to the pre-pandemic level and grew even further. In 2019, the locality generated $266.7 million in visitor spending.
