In 2011, the landscape of Singapore’s start-up ecosystem changed significantly when NUS Enterprise, Singtel Innov8 and the then-Media Development Authority of Singapore came together to repurpose Blk71 into a start-up hub. Frequently referred to as “Singapore’s answer to Silicon Valley,” the former industrial building has gained international recognition for producing some of the most innovative, promising and game-changing companies to emerge from Singapore.
