Why D-Scholars?

The Design Scholars Programme (D-Scholars) is a premier scholarship programme awarded to individuals, such as yourself, who demonstrate academic excellence, present excellent co-curricular activities records and exhibit outstanding leadership qualities. The D-Scholars Programme will harness your creative potential and allow you to solve real-world problems through your passion for design. Recognising the value of early access to professional guidance, you will be paired with world-class professors who provide bespoke support throughout your academic journey. Moreover, the programme grants you access to the residential college experience, enriching your academic journey with an ecosystem of supportive peers.

Programme Structure

• Architecture: Complete your Bachelor’s degree in four years and then pursue a Master of Architecture.

• Industrial Design: Complete your Bachelor’s degree in four years.

• Landscape Architecture: Complete your Bachelor’s degree in four years.

Bond-free scholarship

• Full coverage of your tuition fees.

• Subsidised on-campus accommodation for two years.

• Living allowance throughout NUS candidature.

• One-time computer allowance.

• Subsidies available for overseas experiential programmes.

Submit an application to NUS admission at https://www.nus.edu.sg/oam

a) Select a Design programme as your top choice

b) Indicate interest to join the Design Scholars programme

Submit an application for NUS Scholarships at https://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/scholarships

c) Indicate interest in NUS Global Merit Scholarship and NUS Merit Scholarship

d) Upload personal statement and referee nomination

We shortlist based on academic performance and cocurricular activities. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a panel interview.

Application outcome will be sent directly from the Design Scholars programme office.

**If you have already secured a non-NUS scholarship from other organisations, you are still eligible for admission to the D-Scholars programme with non-financial benefits.
