Conclusion
Initially, the objective of this research was to analyze the housing layout development in Malaysia since independence and point out the objectives from each phase. The case studies from each phase showing the sketches of floor plan and aids of figures to have crystal clear imaginative of the layout. The case studies were conducted within digital platform from internet due to limitation mention in chapter 3. The aim of the research is to understand the housing development in Malaysia with objectives from government and force from people.
In order to fully see the development of housing layout further research on housing design element since 1957 need to be study such as the natural ventilation, building orientation, spatial organization, landscape and etc. Besides, future studies might help housing developer to improve typical housing layout in Malaysia with more futuristic and ideal with new normal lifestyle.
Theoretically, based on case studies and literature review from DPN (2018-2025) and previous research all of government strategies with the help from private sector do achieve as the main objectives is to provide housing to people. Development of housing industry from the housing layout to accessibility since 1957 and now have many changes as we can see from 2 bedrooms and 1-bathroom houses with basic requirement to 3 bedrooms with favorable sizes and 2 bathrooms in addition of special spaces like balcony and terrace. The change not only prove innovative of housing industry but also improve tenant’s lifestyle as the world keep moving forward. The success of focus, strategies, and action contribute the result in DPN (2018-2025). Bringing to end, government and private sector play main actors in housing industry in Malaysia, as mention by 4th and 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia “both sector need to help each other in order to bring DPN objectives to serve the people come true”.
