founder & Principal Designer: Jonathan Lucca A Born and Bred North Carolina Native with a longtime passion for all forms of design, Jonathan Lucca founded Lucca Living Co. in 2022 to help clients create residental spaces that are carefully selected to showcase the taste and style that each client feels Is representative of who they are and what brings them joy. In addition, to help clients create commercial spaces that foster innovation, creativity and inclusiveness. Lucca specializes in a various elements of design from Curation and Design of Interiors, to Personal Styling and Shopping, to Procurement of Exclusive and Rare Items. Lucca currently resides in Raleigh, NC with his Life Partner Grant, and two dogs, Maxwell and Penelope.

THE LC PROJECT Modern Danish Fusion Entry Way The clients had a number of beautiful collected pieces from various designers and decades, requesting that we find ways to incorporate them throughout the home. We used a vintage Danish dining table base to make the glass top table next to the front door, a vintage rosewood cabinet for shoe and pet storage, a wooden octagon mirror, a vintage lucite bench, and an antique linear wooden light fixture (painted black by PD) to bring in some modern elements.

Organic Post Modern Primary Bedroom The clients wanted this room to feel peaceful and tranquil but with an unexpected twist that would make it less predictable than other organic spaces. They were drawn to many organic and post modern style pieces so we decided to marry the two styles to create this comfortable, peaceful, and stylish retreat.

THE LC PROJECT Gancini Bar The clients requested that we incorporate the Black Italian Gancini logo mirror in the bar area, so everything else was designed around it. We decided to bring in some colorful elements such as the original artwork, pillows, and even a hand painted lamp and waste bin, all sourced by the PD.

Asian Zen Powder Room The clients wanted to give the bathroom a facelift without any heaving lifting such as paint, wallpaper, etc so we replaced the original vanity mirror, added an art piece, and added a large mirror along the primary wall to give the illusion of a larger space.

THE LUCAS PROJECT

Modern Zen Office The client, Ms. Lucas, brought on PD, Jonathan Lucca to design a modern zen office space where she can easily take breaks to relax between conference calls and zoom meetings when working from home. The client also asked that we find a creative way to incorporate traditional filing cabinets into the space, without making them a focal point of the room.

We began the project by sourcing these beautiful sofas by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, which we opted to drape with beautiful 100% cotton covers that can easily be machine washed if damaged. Next, we changed out the lighting to beautiful drop pendant lights from Burke Decor. Then we decided on a desk layout and brought in two chrome and glass desks, a primary and secondary.

We styled the furniture pieces with a crisp and comfortable white and chrome desk chair, two white and chrome side tables to pair on each side of the sofas, doubling as side tables and work stations for assistants or guests. We re-styled this coffee table and beautiful green silk plant from the client’s prior home and found a creative way to place the filing cabinets in the office space, making them easily accessible and functional for the client, without them being a focal point in the room.

THE DUNCAN PROJECT

Modern Eclectic Farmhouse Living Room The Duncans brought on PD, Jonathan Lucca to design a space that felt comfortable, functional, stylish, and approachable. We began by bringing in a classic Pottery Barn sofa that checked off all of the criteria of the homeowners. Then, we brought in a pair of a custom sapphire blue cotton velvet accent chairs from Crate and Barrel, followed by the light fixture, black metal sculptural wall art, and woven iron gold leaf painted coffee table, scoring them all around 75% off retail. Next, we were able to recycle a modern farmhouse style cabinet that the Duncans had prior, a perfect fit for the nook to the left of the fireplace. Then, we sourced a woven jute and multicolored cotton 9’ x 12’ rug for under $300 and classic white cotton curtains, only $60 a set from IKEA, for all of the windows in the living space.

Lastly, we brought in some benches for additional seating and dimension to the space, recycling a former black wooden dining bench from Pottery Barn behind the sofa and the procurement of authentic vintage organic bamboo benches from the 1960’s (shown below), sourced by the PD from a local NC based vintage seller.
