The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM/UIAM) main campus is also located here as well as the Batu Caves, which indicate that the public user have a background user as a student. Gombak is also home to an aboriginal Orang Asli settlement, and it is the site of the Orang Asli Museum. For the statement mentioned, the design of building should have an impact from the background of aboriginal Orang Asli. IN THIS TOPIC, IT WILL COVER ALL THE RESULT FROM THE STUDIES APPROACHED. AT LAST, IT WILL EXPLAIN THE DECISION
MAKING FOR THE DESIGN THAT APPLIED IN THE ART AND
PRODUCTION CENTRE FOR KRIS PRODUCTION. WITH THE
DIAGRAM, IT WILL HELP IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF EVERY MOTIVE THAT INSEERT IN THE DESIGN.
PROPOSAL 1# : THE INTGRATION OF WORKSHOP AREA AND EXHIBITION AREA

1 4 Regarding to the first synthesis and the main user target for this building, it is important to serve a space that serve assemble all the occupants that will using the building before they are going to another space. As a result, a huge lobby space was proposed in the building directly after the entrance. From the lobby, the idea of attached it with exhibition space was also proposed because it will be easy for the public user (visitor) to jump directly into the space. As shown from the diagram 1.0, the numbers showed the traffic arrangement from lobby to gallery (for public user).
In order to solve the problem on how to attract people more to come for this art centre building, the idea of The GoDown KL is used as reference. I that reference, The GoDown KL, allocate a space where there have interaction and communication between the public user and the artist that works there. As a result, in this design, it proposed the link of workshop space and the public space. Which mean that, the artist of kris will have communication and atteraction between the public user. From this method, many activities can be created, such as, the public user will explore by themselves on the demonstration of kris production conducted by the kris artist.
Diagram 1.0

Section view from lobby toward the exhibition space

From the diagram 1.1, the idea of linking the workshop and demostrantion idea can be achieved by installed the big opening tool between the wall of both spaces, such as mechanical glass wall that can be open and close .
PROPOSAL 2# : THE PLACEMENT OF OUTDOOR DINING AREA WITH APPROCHING THE CULTURE IMPACT
Another strategy to attract the publice user such as youth user and senior user, this building has to serve a space that are link to the culture impact of people at the area. Because of majority of race in the area is approximately Malay people, so the idea should be considered on based their behaviour. As a result, it can identified that, mostly, the malay people love to gather aound and having their meals with in traditional method, which is relax (santai) and sit-on-floor dining. To solve that, the cafe/dining area in the building should be response to the scenario. In order to achieve that, it can done by propose the traditional cafe area at outdoor space, so the public user from outside may access to the space easily and directly.
Regarding to diagram, the placement of outdoor dining area is located near to the interior cafe and also near to the lobby. With this placement, it will be more easier for public user as a main target to reach the space. Other than that, the placement of interior cafe near to the outdoor dining area could help the food serving from kitchen to serve smoothly direct to the place.
Based on case study, the design also takes some references such as propose a courtyard, so it can be the nice shading device for the place. Next, the outdoor dining area also use the opening between two sides of wall to let the wind and air go thorugh the area for providing so thermat comfort.

PROPOSAL 3# : THE IRREGULAR FORM FOR ATTRACTION MOTIVE
As for the raw idea about this building form, the concept it is actually to derive from the form of "Istana Melayu" . The reason behind this option is to potrays and brings the user of this building achieve the experience on how kris production conducted in Istana Melayu back then. However, because the proposed site was located near to IIUM's building, it will risk the aesthetic from attracting public user to come , because of the concept of Istana Melayu have a simililar from with IIUM's buildings.

The picture shows similarity between the IIUM"s building and Istana Melayu

To solve the problem, the concept of 'Istana Melayu' will sustain but, the form will be more on modern architecture. Refer the diagram below, on how the method assigned on propose the form
The hierarchy applied that refer back to Istana Melayu principle design
The monopitch roof is one of the modern roof design

The pitch roof at the middle showing the same design as Istana Melayu roof The facade buildilng and windows still using the same design as Istana Melayu

As the result, the combination between those two concepts, give an irregular form to the building design that might caught the public user attention to come. Also, the diagonal form also create the impression of strong and bold that related to kris itself.
